I am a young millennial father that bought properties instead of going to college. My kids are ages 11 and below. I am waiting for a big house but im just redesigning my small primary house.
@@christopherhoward7536 When you own a home, you can have a fixed mortgage that has an ending date, like 30 yrs. But when you rent, rents tend to increase from time to time and there is no end in sight.

If you are ready to purchase now and have located a property you like, then my advise is to buy. Unless there is a drastic increase in mortgage rates or inventory of homes for sale, this seller's market will continue for the time being, putting prices even higher. There could be an affordability issue, as the latest affordability index was 27%, but in California, it was still a seller's market when the affordability index was in the teens. Good luck!
