The loud bs music in background is so annoying as it competes with the guys message.

Agree - it's not that loud, but if you have any hearing loss at all, the background just makes it harder to clearly understand the speaker.

I love your tutorial videos, but you might consider turning way down or completely turning off the background music while you're talking. It's really distracting from what you're talking about. If you don't want to do that, you might consider putting some much more lightweight background music turned down enough so it' not distracting. Marc T.

Nice video. Nothing about a standalone accessory hose including one with a standard FoodSaver end on it many people who want to buy this unit already have investment in food saver containers or mason jars including me

And find that vacuum accessory of pretty clunky

This is great feedback. We didn't mention our accessory hose with foodsaver conversion. Just so you know we have our accessory hose as well as the accessory hose to foodsaver conversion on our website under JVR Vac100 category.

@@davestevens4193 Understood. Not everyone finds the capability of sealing multiple mason jars as a useful tool or even mass expedited marination for catering small to large events. You can even use it for a small sous vide bath or vacuum infused cold brew. Ultimately, it's up to the user of the unit and what they find to be clunky or space saving. One user may find the Vac110 to be too heavy to use all the time, due to lack of transportability and capability. Others may not need to do all the above on the 3 GALLON accessory, but want power. Comes down to user preference, needs, and application. Thanks for the thoughful feedback!

I'm new to vacuum sealing. I'm seriously considering a Vac 100. Can I use it to vacuum seal Dungeness crab clusters (halves) after they have been cleaned and steamed? I understand the irregular shapes and sharp points can be a challenge. But, is there a work-around? Bag thickness? Protection around the crab clusters? Taking scissors and trimming off the sharp points? Other? I really, really want to not have to pick my crab first, then vacuum seal it----I really want to be able to vacuum seal the crab clusters in their shell. Thank you.

That is a great consideration! You can easily vacuum seal crab clusters and freeze them! As far as sharp points, you can do one of two things: 1) Buy 5-mil VacPouch for puncture resistance 2) If you are infrequently packaging this and there is only a few sharp points, then snag our ULTRA-CLEAR VacGuard Roll (6mil) and pair it with 3-mil VacPouch for ultimate puncture resistance. Using this method, you will save up to 28% on costs! Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any further questions!

@@JVRIndustriesInc ok,, good thank you. I'm assuming it may be a trial and error experimenting with the settings to balance getting a good seal but not crushing the Dungeness crab shells. Any suggestions for settings? Again, thank you.

@@shannonyork5300 Vacuum cycle settings can't necessarily be nailed down because of so many variables. Some variables to consider: Filler plate quantity, size of product, and moisture content in the air/product. Generally speaking, a full vacuum cycle of 40 seconds should be a good starting point. If the crab is quite moist, consider turning up the vacuum time to combat the moisture which can dampen the vacuum draw. Hope this is helpful! As far as seal and cool times, watch our "The Basics Of Sealing" video. It covers seal and cool times!
