Jealousy does nothing for you, believe me, and there’s nothing stopping you from working in this field. I got rid of jealousy a long time ago and it feels great. Plus John’s road to building Curated was not all sunshine and rainbows…it was not an overnight success! Best of luck 🤝

Exactly! I never understood obsessing over low milage / never driven cars. Cars should be enjoyed, not stored away. If you cannot afford that, dont buy them. If you just want to invest your money, buy jewellery or something else… (And I think the Diablo SV is absolutely unique and beautiful with this vinyl pattern)

A bespoke 190E will put Curated even more on the Map! That is a genius idea. Similar to what singer and my personal favorite Gunther Werks did with porsche. Keep the essence of the car and make it modern perfection. I am very excited for that. Curated 190E?

So cool that you have the opportunity to have a look at the L150. Such an intriguing Countach! The few articles on it describe it as a styling prototype as you said, to replace the qv. But literally a month ago, Valentino Balboni commented on a Facebook group that it was Alfieri’s idea to test some mechanical component and aerodinamics for the next Countach generation. Now with this info, the full flat rims that we can see in some photos from period make sens. But what remains as a mystery for me is, why does this car wear a fuel injected engine cover? Was this car build specifically to focus the on the Us market ? I will love to have your opinion on that, if you have any more info please let me know. I am a big fan of your work, really inspiring!

I didnt realize someone actually owned that design study countach. I have a book I bought in the mid 90's with a picture of that exact car in it. I really hope that is in the 6 car package deal you make an offer and it goes through. Too freaking cool!

Yes, I buy expensive model cars from all over the world and Japan likes to put prices higher than what is realistic. I missed a 1/12 Black Lambo Murcielago Roadster that is extremely rare. I have had 2 Yellow ones and the guy posted it at a great price $800.00 as soon as I could grab it someone beat me to the punch.. Now I have not seen one for sale in past 3 yrs. Still waiting to buy one. Yes, I love model cars.. sometimes more than a 1:1 version. :P

Basically, it’s about collecting cars you don’t drive; realise at some point you have too many, you are getting old; that you need to cash out. Then you got those experts that get in the middle of transactions getting big % on deals, contributing to make their value go up. Will There be enough collectors at some point? Because the pool of cars that are of interest only keeps increasing with time. It’s still a bad sign to see some people being able to acumulate such amounts of wealth. Riches get get richer while middle classes keep on getting less power of aquisition.
