Looking at a 2005 r6 with 40k for 3,500 looks pretty maintained what do you recommend?

@@emmanuelramos4772 - this is obv just my opinion, that's too high for those miles. But then I would pay no more than maybe $2500 for such an old bike regardless. I have an 05 R1 and and 07 R6 and I can tell you from experience finding parts for any R6 or R1 older than 08 is getting harder and harder. Aftermarket? Almost impossible now. If I was you, I'd look for nothing older than a '10. That is still FOURTEEN years old but parts will be much easier and if you take your time you can find a newer R6 with those high miles for that same price. Best of luck to you. Be patient and search search search - you will find.

@@EnzoMoresi-mj8bc yeah bike looks super clean for having suck miles I took a look at the bike and didn’t see any size of leaking or lack of maintenance shifted and rides super smooth for such an old and high mileage bike , as far as finding parts that are becoming hard to find what exactly are those parts that are becoming hard to get ?

Good tires, PC fuel module, short yoshi pipe, HD clutch kit, hand brake, +5 sprocket and stock size, new fork seals, new fluids, stunt sub frame to replace weak oem one. “. 30k miles. Good deal?

My coworker just gifted me one of these that has been sitting in her garage with lower miles. I figure a new battery, new tires, new chains, and new brakes. Anything else you think should be replaced?

This one had 38k miles and still ran like a brand new bike. Good choice 💪🏼

@@moneymovest yeah pretty good flip. Paid off student loans with it and still ride dirt bikes daily and my friends cbr600rr. Probably get a 08+ r6 in summer or whatever’s a good deal to fix
