I was in Hermes recently and bought a wallet. The SA was very warm and inviting. I did express my frustration at not ever even being able to look at a bag, so it is hard to want it. He brought out 2 Evelyns. One was not for sale, but at least I got to try it on (display model) and one was available but was an extremely bright yellow. VERY hard to wear! He did seem very willing to show me things though and he said they are trying to change the way they are operating more recently. The 29 was way too large for my 5'1" frame and I didn't really care for the small one. I'm hoping to see a Move bag or a 24/24 one of these days. Seeing a quota bag is still pretty impossible it seems.

I love the colour, imho, I think it'll work well in your wardrobe. I've just bought a leather jacket in a similar colour, and while I know it'll look amazing with navy, it's the burgundies and dark reds I'm most excited to wear it with.

Hi Deb, ❣…..have you ever had your color analysis done? As a designer myself, I feel that you are most likely a ‘winter; which means you like and look best in darker cooler colors such as burgundy, navy, dark violet etc….even though your new Hermes bag is a’tan color which is normally a ‘fall analysis warm color, sometimes you can be strong in one season but also lean a bit towards another season which is quite possibly what you are🤗….the bag is beautiful….oh, and you can also adorn it by putting a darker colored scarf tied to the side of the bag, and or changing out the straps for another Hermes darker strap etc….it was meant for you! …I also refuse to play a game, as many clients of mine have celebrities in their families who just walk into a store or tell their SA what they want and they receive it. 🧐…..🥰

I’ve been ‘done’ and I’m a winter. I wear tan bags (Loewe puzzle) and shoes. I wouldn’t wear brown clothes as they make me look ill but an accessory away from the face works for me and tan goes well with black/grey/navy.

I’m so pleased you got that bag in New York, specially after it being impossible to even get a look at it over here. It’s a lovely colour and I can see how it works for you. I’m trying get a pair of shoes from Hermès at the moment and that’s proving impossible too They just don’t want to sell us anything!!

Honestly speaking, you have always said that your "journey" was much different than "normal"... just getting quota bag offers with no prespend. THAT is not normal in the US... never has been... and apparently has changed in EU as well now to be more like other countries... so I can see why your journey is over. If you don't love their other products... then it should be over. Right? Congrats on the Evvie. Great bag and even better color!!!

If you aren’t interested in shopping in the rest of the mini department store that is Hermès, I wouldn’t bother trying to cultivate a relationship with a sales advisor. I reckon you have to be a frequent buyer to pull that off. I’d just pop in when close by, or even on holiday if overseas, and chance it just as you did in NY. SA’s seem to come and go quickly these days, from one House to another. Give James a poke to look for a job at H 😂.

It’s not a quota bag or a bag you have to put on your wishlist. So they don’t have to be offered as such. However they never seem to have any when I’ve asked in the past. It seems like they decide whether to offer you the bag x

I have to say, the old Madison Ave staff were appalling. I refused to go for ages because of their rudeness and lack of service. However, the store move to the current location changed things radically. The current staff are much better and the service is as you would expect. I will have another look around when I go to pick up my repair.

Hi, I think you have been very lucky to have been able to buy all the Hermes Quota bags that you have up to two years ago. There have been many changes with Hermes in the last two years. They have got so many new customers and everyone wants the quota bags. I understand that the sellers at Hermes must prioritize the customers who spend money at Hermes. Quota bags are very limited and therefore the customers who spend the most money must be offered to buy them, that's just the way it is. Love your Channel by the way❤

@@marlenepopov8469 I have spoken to two diff sales associates in Manchester. The first one I got chatting to whilst shopping. She subsequently never responded to my text. The second one I again got chatting to whilst shopping - I had been at a Dior event with Steph from handbagholic. Is this what you mean? I haven’t been introduced to a RU-vidrs SA at Hermes.
