M pack with or without adaptive suspension, pre LCI or post is actually 4 different setups. Some suck. Suck comfort lol. It is an everyday car in the end.
@@JosueHernandez-nu5cp the biggest reliability issue with a BMW is the transmission and engine electrics - the regular interior features are no more unreliable than on any other car.
I’ve just bought a 420d Coupe. It had to have Pro navigation, rear camera, cream seats, not cream carpets, Harmon/Kardon and Shift Paddles. Thankfully I got it all and Melbourne Red thrown in for good measure!! Happy first time BMW owner right here.
Just got a 340i a few weeks ago and I got really lucky with how little research I did. Watching this video now made me realize it was an absolute gem find
All roofs should come black. You have a great eye. Sometimes you think your the only one that feels or thinks a certain way. But again black roofs keeps it looking crisp n fresh. & over time that beige/gray lining gets dirty & it’s pain to clean as well.
The must have is HUD. Fantastic to daily driving and more fun driving. Can lower the steeringwheel to a more comfy position when having the headups, because the top of the steeringwheel is blocking the normal clusterinstruments.
Heads up display is incredibly distracting, I had it in a courtesy car and switched it off. Also I prefer the dial cluster in the late 2020 models. The newer display is very busy and not that easy to read instantly, you should be able to see what you need to know at a glance.
The heads up display is a must, super convenient and more safe, I hate using a phone to set up google maps, i prefer to use the car navigation system and see the directions on the windshield, is way more safer and convenient
If you can find it, find one with the M-Performance Power and Sound Kit (MPPSK). It can be added aftermarket too. Get more HP and torque and a nice sounding valved exhaust.
I got a January 2017 420d M Sport coupe (PRE LCI, LCI for the 4 series started in I believe February 2017). It’s my first BMW and first rear drive car. Love it. The 8 speed ZF is fantastic, car is Estoril blue and has been a joy to own so far.
Also you forgot about some nice to have options like: big navigation, extended instrument cluster, and heads-up display. These are the most important options the f30 should have in my opinion...
Believe it or not, there are adults out there who don't want all of that bs and just want to drive their cars. Just like adults who want to build dark, quiet PCs that just work without LEDs whirring and blinking everywhere. Not all of us are bug men.
I feel you on this. I got a CPO 2012 328i with only the Technology Package. I had nothing on my car aside from Bluetooth and navigation. I had no Xenons, auto-dimming mirrors, power seats, lumbar support, parking sensors, backup camera (although they weren't required by law at the time), and my rear seats weren't even foldable. Anyone buying German needs to deep-dive in on options and also the LCI of the car. And don't even buy because down the road you will be paying a lot for maintenance, esp on the F30 generation up till 2015.
Congratulations on 200K subscribers!!!!🥳🥳🥳🥳 it jas been an amazing joruney with you justin and we will continue build and create more memories to come!!!!!
ACC for longer commutes with traffic jam assist for those countries with bahns n stuff. Plus it comes with frontal collision warning. It may save your car and cars in front. Can be spotted by looking for a black box in the front bumper bottom part, it is the radar for the system. Also 360 cameras may come in handy for some.
Well Done! - Imagine my surprise when I bought my 13 328i msport and walk out to the car after signing paperwork and find out it didn't have comfort access.... so much *facepalm* the two beamers after that I was meticulous about learning what packages were offered and made sure to get what I wanted.
I just come across your channel, WoW it's awesome. I did purchase a 2019 BMW 330i M Sport but because there were some add-ons I was not aware of I decided to upgraded to the 2020 model I added the laser lights, lumbar support and most important the driver recorder. It's an awesome car and it makes my day whenever I drive it.
On the 1 series get one with the infotainment system on the dash. Mine didn’t have it so I fitted one myself and it makes a world of difference. Having both the genuine bmw infotainment screen as well as apple are play and the android equivalent is great and a massive resale factor.
I actually have been a Toyota guy for a long time and recently rented a new Toyota that had all the driver assistance stuff, like radar cruise, and lane keep assistance. I have also at times thought about trying out a BMW but after a lot of research I found out that all that stuff is not standard and after review of both new and used cars at the local BMW dealer here in Nashville its not common for their cars to have it(which I think is completely ridiculous- at that price point all that stuff should be included as standard equipment). So I don't know- after using it I am not sure I could live without it and not sure I want to do the extensive search it would take to find a car with those options.
I have the newer 3 series (2020 G21 Touring 330i RWD) agree on all you said. Such as; the interiour color;; I have a kind of dark orange tot brown (dunno the offical color name) it makes it 'different' then standard black.. I had the same car before (2019 model G21) without Harman Kardon, the audio was terrible and to upgrade it costed 2-3K so I did not do that at the end. Now with Harman Kardon original from factory it sounds great, it's a must. I even can say that my 'cheaper' Mini with Harman Kardon sounds better, so for that the BMW MUST have HK for me! Keep up posting nice videos: great job!
FYI, Harman Kardon is pretty bad for how much the option costs. The sound is not very clear, and it will start having unwanted frequency vibrations pretty soon. Bowers & Wilkins is the one to look for.
I must say, I live the silver or metallic grey, with some nice big rims (probably black) and a red interior. Just looks really classy and sporty. The beige interior is also very nice!
I have a fully optioned F30 335i xdrice in imperial blue with cognac interior, luxury line but with an M sport front bumper and adaptive suspension. It's awesome, I really lucked out finding it locally.
Bloopers! Need more 🤣 good video as always and agree on most of the options. Especially m sport, sound system and the cold weather package for us ⛄️ snow birds!
My husband have always owned BMWs, me....Fords.I recently retired a bought the 2022 X3 xDrive. I love it but still learning all the options. I miss one thing my explorer had, that is the tow package. I vphave a Can AM Ryker and no option to tow 😌 BTW, mine had the red interior.
Yup that’s what my 06bmw 325i has but ……. Now im looking for a new one and the best used one I can find right is 12 bmw 328i white coupe with red interior with only 65k on the engine vs mine has 177 k
All wheel drive for winter driving is absolutely not as important as people make it out to be. A set of good winter tires make the most difference. All wheel drive adds weight, complexity, and higher repair rates and does nothing to help you stop better on loose surfaces, only when your accelerating. I personally look for RWD vehicles even though I live in Canada and we get a lot of snow.
Going on 3 months having my 2011 E90 M3 S65 V8. This has been a dream car of mine since the early 90s. Bought the car around 80k miles in California. Only thing I wish it had, was Bluetooth capabilities to play music instead of using the AUX cord. Easy fix, I know. But for a 10 year old car priced around $70k+. It should of had it lol. And yes, I had to go with the DCT in case the wife needed to drive it. lol....
I was divided between a Mercedes(C220 or BMW 320d) Watching your vids u pull me more into bmw world 😂 man superb! Can’t wait to have my first 320D(touring)
Best option imo is to get the gas versions, in europe diesel is much more popular (and better in some ways). But god damn the sound of a petrol bmw is just unique. For those who don't know "i" in the badge stands for petrol while "d" in the badge stands for diesel. I have a 120d which means it's diesel, I would've loved a 120i or higher but it's fun nonetheless (and cheaper where I live)
That's what I've heard. In the US, they are almost all gas powered. You really have to go out of your way to find a diesel BMW (or really any diesel sedan)
I love putting the key in the ignition and feeling the car start up through my hand. Hate rear cameras, reverse like a man ffs. Black interior. Otherwise, great vid.
„just a 3 series“ It’s a new BMW 3 series with premium configuration, that’s a hell of an expensive car to own while also saving up and paying for other things.
Yo, a luxury line 2013 comes with everything you mentioned except for mSport package of course. But with 18's and lowered from the factory. I found an Xdrive model with 69k miles, 1 owner. 16k at a Toyota dealer. Mineral white with the peanut butter guts🔥 Dont give up. The deals are out there!
You are talking about why you didn't get the M package on the new car. But... M-Performance Badge on the interior and especially the black ceiling tell me, this car has a M-performance pack. Just not for the outside like bumpers.
been a fan for little over a year and really enjoy your content I just purchased a 2016 x5 that I truly love and enjoy it had 1 Pryor owner who took excellent care although I’ve owned a few BIMMERS over the years I wish I took the time to find one that already had conversions done , just a thought.
I-drive, my 2011 e90 doesn’t have the screen which I’m not mad about. I personally think it looks tacky with two big humps on your dash but just something I didn’t know about til buying my bmw. Love the vid
I could go either way on the I Drive screen. It does provide some useful information and makes it easier to change settings on the car. But they look so much more clean without the screens
Thank you so much for this amazing information about BMW. As usual your videos have a lot of good feedback and great resources to BMW owners. My question to you, what would you recommend to someone who owns 2016 BMW X6 M? What is your advice to him/her? I really wish you can give us tutorial on that please.
Picked up an Estoril Blue BMW 335i w/ M Sport Package last year. Bummed that it didn’t have comfort access, but the backup camera and pdc’s make up for it.
Only one in my life n its best of the best and im still regret selling it bmw e30 m3 other than that i had learnt my lesson by seeing my friends n my father regret buying in the first place
The Weekender rugged raw pure simple tech loaded e30 n if im not wrong its last of its kind which presents bmw line up is about practical daily drivable fun machine
The Weekender im and admirer enthusiast for car i just dont think than bmw dies years ago they broke a lot whether u buy new or used they dont make bmw as they were in 90s by the way good wishies to u i hope ur dont broke
Dunno if they do it in the newer card but my e92 rear parking sensors output sound from the direction of the obstacle ie if its rear left it'll come out the rear left speaker
I bought my wife the 2014 bmw 328i bout 3 years ago and it did not have all of the options, but she loved it. So a couple of years ago, I bought for my birthday the 2014 750LI fully loaded and love all of the options. Especially the karman sound...
You said "buyer's remorse" no one would have "buyer's remorse" if people do the home work before going out and just buying what a sales guy says.. I get a lot of people saying BMW, Benz and other European cars are overpriced and are junk, they obviously have no clue what goes into developing and manufacturing a performance vehicle, and that goes for any make actually
Great video one of its kind thanks a lot BTW do you know if the 2011 bmw 328xi has comfort access or it was introduced later with the f30? Thanks again!
I'm trying to get more consistent again with the uploads. I've got a bunch of parts in my garage waiting to go in so I'll have a lot of content on the way!
homelink is for me the most importend option, on my e46 it is factory fitted,... i look now for the f83 4'series cabrio and looks that was not a option on those cars :-( ... i wischi could retrofit that option
Great video! 👍 I must’ve missed it in a previous video but what is the red cord on top of the steering wheel shaft housing? It looks like it’s connected to a camera? Thanks
Thanks! That’s just the microphone to record the video. It’s the small black cylinder sitting on top of the windshield wiper stalk and the red cord is plugged in the back 😁
Great set of videos.. I've been driving 3 and 5-series since 2004. Currently on a car very similar to yours, a white/red 340i. Luckily I have m-sport, track handling and cold weather, so very happy about those. Unfortunately, my 340i has the "base" LED's. They look good from the outside but for actual illumination function they are a significant step down from 04 330Ci ZHP, 06 330i, 11 335i and 11 535i. My initial research indicates that upgrading may be difficult. Open to your thoughts... Perhaps you have those and are fine with them; or are lucky and have the adaptive LED (supposed to be better, not sure if it's as good as the pre-16 HID).
I know im replying late, i have adaptive headlights on my f36 and they are BRIGHT, you literally can't read traffic signs at night due to the brightness reflecting off of them
They are both good, just keep in mind that the 528i is a larger car but with the same engine as the 328i, so it might not feel as nimble. Although the 5 Series is more comfortable and spacious.
Bro where did you get the bumper and how much? Mine is scratched. Im looking for one to put on it like yours. Can you give me the info to get one. Please.
If you love terrible customer service, and love £60k EVs that have charging faults, if you love that you can't speak to a technical person about the fault and love that you'll need to wait more than a month to get it seen at a dealership ..if you love all this, you'll love a BMW. If you dont love this.. Buy an Kia EVO 6
My fav option on my 2015 F30 is definitely the Heads-up Display, I love that thing. If I ever change the car, I will not buy one without it. A must have.
