A dump trailer greatly advances any contracting business with the ability for potential workload and profit earned. Here are a few things I recommend when buying a dump trailer.
my list after owning a dump trailer for a few years. back up lights, hydraulic or electric landing gear, the pump and batteries in the tool box suck so I want to move that stuff under the bed. that tray you have under the bed is a cool idea and easy to add. I have a scissor lift on my double A and it hasnt failed to lift a load yet. it has done 6 mt loads of self leveling mud.
Thanks for your review and feedback! Glad its working great for you. Something cool to note: in 2021 all Sure-Trac dump trailers 14K and up come standard with an HD 12K Jack!
Bought a 6x12 10k from Kelly’s over a year ago. Really struggled with maybe buying a7x14 . I think for F150 it was the right choice. Works awesome and will dump way more than rated. Don’t ask me how I know. Pays for itself. Don’t know how I managed without it.
I'm guessing your truck is under 10k gvw. Looking at the a 7x16, but I have to do 14k as my truck is 11,500 gvw. They have one with and without the hydraulic jack. Not sure it's worth the extra 1,500.
Definitely the wrong truck for that trailer so crazy your legal cdl wise but not safe if fully loaded. perfect for that trailer would be a 1 ton, but youd need to a cdl it's so dumb how these laws work. Also In some states anything over a 10k gvw you need a cdl not sure what state your in.
