@@jordanbrown1337 same man, I scraped together 2000$ at the lowest point in my life and bet it all on a dodge ram 5.9 magnum and it hasn't let me down 1 single time in the year I've had it, this trucks engine hauls all my welding equipment in the back like it's not even there
These gen 2 trucks are so good. I have a friend that has a 95 he bought brand new with the original a/c and clutch with well over 300K. I’ve often thought about doing the same thing, saving a few of these, you have my total attention, 👍
I also just bought a Dodge Ram 1500, V6, but it is 1999, it cost me 1000 dollars, I live in Acuña Mexico, and I plan to restore it. I would like to see how your truck finally turned out, to give me ideas. thanks for your video.
I got a minty fresh 2nd gen 1500 Quad Cab, it's my first truck and this inspires me to make it something awesome, I thought about aftermarket parts for it but part of me also wants to keep it OEM because it's soon to be considered a classic because it's an 01
I really wanted a red dodge, it was nice, had the bigger 5.9 super clean nice lift not obnoxious, nice wheels and tires, I think it was a single cab sport, with tow mirrors, it sold quick.
My step dad just gave me his 05 dodge ram 1500 short bed. The ECU needs reprogramming or replaced which it's hard finding someone that could here in Tennessee and the abs module needs replacing too
Got advice on doing an overhaul on a 5.2l V8 '01 Ram 1500? I wanted to get an idea of the cost of new parts and see where to start and end up with flying color results?
What are you trying to do? Are you doing a rebuild, are you going for towing performance, are you trying to get high performance? What have you done with the transmission?
2nd gen would be the better option, if the motor was taken care of, it’ll be way more reliable, and the overall truck itself is thicker, since it was built before dodge went cheap with the 3rd gen
Literally just bought the same truck for 800 bucks all it needs is an oil change, windshield wipers, and maybe a paintjob. Need to get the windshield replaced cuz it has a small crack going along the top. Other than those things the interior it perfect aside from some mud stains on the floorboard and it has a small dent on the right side I can probably get out with a plunger honestly lol
