Please just don't cut the arches for another crazy body kit or something, ruining such a clean evo is just a crime. Oem mods + refreshing factory yellow paint job is the best option

I fit 285s with stock fenders with high offset wheels and custom rear trailing arms. Meanwhile people are running wide body kits just to put on 265s.

This might be the best starting point for a RESTORATION series instead of a big show of mods. Rebuild the 4G, dry ice the undercarriage, keep the factory color, etc. No cutting! Keep it a time capsule.

In 2003 When the Evo 8 first came to the USA, in California at least I was the 2nd Registered owner of an Evo 8 in the State. The 1st was registered by Mitsubishi for a press car. Was a great car and miss it to this day!! Looking forward to whatever you guys are going to do, PLEASE don't do wide body on the gem. Just go OEM+ and it will be PERFECT!!

Oem+! No cutting and no widebody crap just coils, wheels, lip, skirts, diffuser, rebuild the engine and give the paint correct and a nice detail refresh. Period correct parts would be a great bonus.

for the sharkfin on the G80, my guess as to why its gloss black plastic and not CF, is that actual CF blocks radio signals.

Full refresh including original Enkei wheels. All JDM quality stuff on it. Coilovers, intake,exhaust. Rebuild the engine, give it a nice power bump. But keep the looks clean stock.

One super underrated mod is the lancer equippe interior trims. It's a dark blue wood which matches the seats perfectly also the metal door handles

OEM plus, no flashy body kit. Keep the aesthetics stock, upgrade the performance and refresh/modernize it while retaining the spirit of the original car

I bought a 2003 yellow evo VIII new off the lot. Exactly this setup. Color and all. Made it 350-400 hp and had a ton of fun. I put a blow off valve directly under the hood extractor. So every time I shifted it sounded so good. Highly suggest an upgraded clutch.

OEM+ all day, lip kit, nice wheels and coilovers, touch up the paint, bolt on artec manifold, turbo, injectors. Period correct bov and catback Done

My uncle has a black 04 evo 8 SSR trim and he’s the first and original owner and he’s had experience on building the 4g69 and tuning it himself!! His Evo 8 is still to this day my dream car, can’t wait to see it, my uncles car has 800awhp with a/c and the outside is stock af no wheels just d2 coilovers and his interior is still stock with the leather recaro seats and has the stock radio with stock subwoofer also has the sunroof which he never opens!! As a little kid my uncle evo 8 was literally a dream car to me and him going fast in that car is still fun!! U guys should literally do a oem+ build no wheels just evo 9 Mr wheels or leave those wheels and lower it’s just simple tasteful oem+ wheels! No carbon hood leave it how it is stock looking outside and fully built engine!! I also know how to have the stock radio with an aux cable if that’s sumthing you guys want to know how to do lmk I have to find the pictures to and send it to u guys so that u don’t have to ruin the stock sound system also have here in Puerto Rico the stock subwoofer for those cars!! Lmk if u want it aswell!!

So this was the Evo yall were talking about on the tiktok Live ;) I say keep it stock body, simple and clean, and focus more power and performance, but some OEM + exterior goodies like some simple carbon bits and etc like Devin Niemela's Evo build he just finished.. Buttt, OEM / OEM+ clean and simple build would be amazing, its such a gem to find that all OEM and factory untouched, in that good of condition

OEM+. Repair/restore as much as possible, replace/upgrade the things that can’t be fixed. Keep it yellow, fix the paint, clear wrap, CS coat to keep it looking nice.

Full build on engine and transmission plus some suspension and tires is all it would need, just refresh the body but don't modify it.

Keep the Evo oem+ no bodykits. Just whiteline suspension, ohlins road & track, bbs wheels, lowered, -2.5 front & -1.5 rear, tomei. Done perfect canyon runner, time attack, etccc

Loving the G8 M3 build so far! For the Evo 8, here's what I would aim for with an OEM Plus build that enhances performance without compromising the stock look: Whiteline Grip Package Tomei Expreme Ti Titanium Catback Exhaust Forced Performance (FP) Manifold and Turbo FP Manifold TF06-18K Turbo CSF or Mishimoto Radiator High-Flow Intake, Downpipe, and Test Pipe GSC Power-Division S1 Cams and Valve Springs ETS (Extreme Turbo Systems) Intercooler and Piping Kit MAPerformance Fuel System Upgrade

Keep it clean! OEM+ definitely. Maybe exhaust, intake and those stuff… but do not heavy modify engine either, they are 100% reliable until you heavily modify them

cleanup, keep it yellow, lip and nice wheels. basic power mods, intake, exhaust, tune, maybe a little more power, headunit update. make it a great driver imho (I'd keep the original wheels too so I can put snow tires on those when I win it since I assume it'll be a giveaway car once complete)

Go like engine power, suspension and brakes upgrades, with small body carbon fiber detailing, the interior only needs an upgrade, not an entire makeover, build a sleeper, normal look but good power

Just a side note from the section of Evan messing with the g80… looking at the passenger side the front door is a different shade of white than both the rear door and the quarter. I so hope that’s lighting or camera.

If you just clean it up and keep it stock, make it Petersen museum level piece. If you mod it, only period correct mods.

I'm sure others are thinking similarly, but we're itching for a simple restoration and keeping it a time capsule! Repaint factory paint color, no crazy body kits keeping OEM bumpers, fixing up old leathers and adding small OEM+ mods like a simple lip and simple wheels.

This HAS to be a clean body/inside factory restoration, with a SLEEPER underbuild 😎 Engine, breaks, suspension, all fair game long as it looks factory inside the car and from most angles! Defo don't change the colour - respray factory that colour was iconic!

OEM plus. No body kit. Upgrade the brakes, suspension, wheels and tires. Beef up the engine and the turbo. I'm in Canada and we didn't get the Evo until the X came along. I was at a car meet here and a guy had imported an Evo 8 in that yellow. He was surprised when I asked him if it was a real Evo.

Modify it, paint job, dont cut it up, if you could keep the interior stock but upgrade the infotainment system. For sure turbo and exhaust system.

Split the difference on the evo. Keep it nice OEM+ looking, with some early 2000s styling and then get the engine to about 400whp. That would be the perfect evo IMO

keep it mostly original and do NOT cut it up . just the minor upgrades intake , exhaust etc and a NICE detail to bring out that lightning yellow (don’t wrap either)
