I want to somehow connect with Guy and bow down to him with utmost respect for his excellence in riding and representing the greatest community of riders around the world. My dad was an avid rider and he did Pune to Kashmir on 1 Jawa and 1 Yezdi with 2 of his friends back in 1987, just few months before I was born. Unfortunately he passed away on his motorbike in 2002 and I always wished that I could take him to see Isle of Man TT. If opportunity comes to my life I am going to visit Isle of Man TT in this lifetime and bow down to the truest and most skillful of riders and crews as a true respect to my late father.
Ive been to India and purchased a bike and ridden across it. You think you’re doing something unique. You wouldn’t believe how many middle age white blokes are doing the same thing. To the locals he’s just another punter looking for a bike. He knows what he wants though. That’s the best advice i can give anyone looking to do this. Go searching as if you were shopping locally. Take your time.
He’s just a legend. Most people half as famous change the way they speak, hold themselves, dress... this guy has literally never changed (no pun intended)
lol , i didnt know id been waiting to see this comment since following guy back in the day when all he had was a magazine column and a job fixing lorries.
The sad part is no one recognized the legend that he is. I d ve given him that bike for free if I owned a business in return for his autograph on the bike when he d be done with it and was ready to go home.
@@Speedytrip My dear friend.....I am a proud Indian. I am a huge motorsports fan. I am a huge fan of bikes. I am also a mechanic. I am a huge fan of Guy Martin. That is the point I m making. Knowledge of people like Guy Martin, Nicky Hayden, Marc Marquez, Travis Pastrana, Evil Kenievel, etc is synonymous with love for motorcycles irrespective of your nationality. In our country, the so called celebs who come to mind when we think motoecyles are John Abraham, Dhoni, Salman khan etc, which is bullshit.
@@crestsolution7906 I was simply stating that not people from all countries know the legends of all countries :) I don't who the best soccer player in Brasil even if I'm sure he's a mega rockstar, but I'm sure those following the world series do know. I'm sure that old man knows about many legends, he's possibly just not a big TT follower and didn't follow Guy's career. :)
a lot of shows that air on tv don't get the music cleared for web, so they have to remove/replace it for web versions, and the mix suffers because someone just slaps it on.
He's under a bit of stress at the moment. He is in trouble with the UK Driving licence authorities (DVLA) and has apperared in court accused of using a fake driving licence.
i would have given mine to him for any number of weeks and many would have if they knew he's coming to India. There are many bike groups who would love to see him
One of my bucket list is to meet him. People in this video doesn’t really recognise who he is... I been long time fan of his TT race... it’s a proud moment he visits to India ... It’s bad TT racers are barely recognised when compared to MotoGP racers
Guy dude you are like the Fred Dibnah of the bike world.... massive respect... Like how you keep it real and be who you are not what the TV want you to be.....
Loved to see the best of bests motorcyclist roaming in Indian streets dealing on moterbikes... I wish people u met could have recognized whom they were talking to... ❤️❤️🙏
I got the opportunity to watch the TT race in 2017 and meet a lot of racers including McGuinness, Hutchy, Bruce and Guy. All humble and down to earth individuals. A lot of people I met on the island were surprised to know that we follow the TT races here in India :) Watching the TT race for the first time is an incredible experience, nothing comes close to it!
Guy, you dear brother, you made me smile when I needed a bit of a lift. If you're ever in Usk come and say hello and I'll make you a cup of tea. Bless you and yours. Gx
WHAT WHAT, GUY MARTIN WAS @ INDIA. 🤨🤯😱. Kabhi tv dekha kro Karol bagh pe bike bechne walo, kuchh to respect do yaar, yeh banda India me RE lene nikla hai
Gareeb ke pass khane ko nahi hai tum TV dekhte raho and yeah thank god logo ne normal ki tarah deal kiya Koi bhagwaan nahi yaha per Sab apna business kerte hai Unko bhi yehi kerna hai
At the end of this series he put the bike in a garage in India and said he was going to ride it back to the UK one day, I would love to see this as a series..
2:26 WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DOG! Reminds me of my doggo - same eyes, same face, same shy demeanor. RIP. I really hope I get to see him one day, just to see his "smile" again... Him and my girl. He brought sunshine to my life. I've lost many loved ones in life, but my doggo's were always there for me. Now i've got a kitten but regardless of your animals, they love you and they're unconditional and I really hope Jesus Christ is able to see my heart despite my fuckups and I really hope to see my loved ones again one day, animals and all. Guy's the salt of the earth and a man I truly look up to. Just a normal, non - messed up person with a heart of gold. Thanks for the memories and for posting this.
One thing I noticed watching a vid from 7 years ago to now he still has the same red watch. Unless he’s bought the same thing over it’s the same red watch lol.
He is down to earth... He pushed down his pant just after a smile we as indians will surely though 1000 times :P Am amazed he visited india... just paused the video to comment ..:D
In the eighties I drove around Rajasthan on an Enfield 350, just payed 1200 roepies for a month`s renth... Great experience, first time driving on the left side of the road as a dutchie in, of all places, India...
@@genericdweeb2960 , I know because I rented a Bullet from Lali and it had 64,000 kms on the clock but was in tip-top condition. Lali's mechanic went through the bike with me double checking everything, and I set off on a four-week tour with spare parts and tools provided in my cases. If you have ever ridden in India then you know the beating those bikes take. The bike didn't let me down once.
Wait the guy at 3:43 is from the team of old Delhi motorcycle remember that movie about old enfields correct me if I am wrong how did bobbee let go of opportunity of meeting legend 😣
