Found your channel looks great. Did you shop around the different Honda dealers. Were the prices posted. Were retiring in Hwa Hin next year and really love the ADV 350

Thanks for your comment and watching our videos! The prices for all motorcycles are published on the respective manufacturer's website. These are the prices you will pay. Of course you can try negotiate for a discount with the dealer. Please note that premium Honda models like ADV 350 and Forza 350 are in very limited supply in Thailand. You will probably have to wait about 3 months to get your bike. However, this doesn't mean you can't get lucky and find one in stock somewhere. This problem is not unique to Honda. For example, if you decide to try to get a Suzuki or Yamaha equivalent the result will be the same.

Hello, I just subscribed. My husband and I will move to Hua Hin in April2022. Can you recommend a good area to live. We are looking for a Condo since it will only be two of us. When buying motorbike there, can you negotiate the cost or it’s set?

Thank you for subscribing and for your comment! We really appreciate it. As far as the motorcycle buying goes you can negotiate on price no problem at all. You will need to go to Thailand Immigration Department and get a "Certificate of Residency" in order to register the motorcycle in your name. This is not difficult but we recommend taking a Thai speaking friend with you if possible. We bought a brand new bike but there are heaps of used bikes for sale. The process is the same regardless of new or used. However, buy a used bike from a licenced dealer (not a private seller) if possible because the process is a bit easier. The best way to secure a condo is to come to Hua Hin, book into a hotel or holiday apartment / condo for a month or so and use that time to find the place you want to live long term. The real estates agent/s will take you around and show you many options. Hua Hin is only a small city so the area you choose is not as important as say in Bangkok. Concentrate on finding a condo that suits your needs / budget and leave the "area" to sort itself out. Generally the area around the Royal Palace is considered to have the best weather as it has its own "microclimate". Who knows if that's true! The agent will take you to view properties if you are renting OR buying. We found our place while still in Australia by searching online but we had been to Hua Hin many times previously over the years so we knew the town and the areas. You can definitely find a place online as well if you wish but we do recommend searching yourself in person here in Hua Hin if you can manage it. Viewing in person is always the best option with any real estate decision - either renting or buying. I hope this helps you and good luck! Make sure you contact us when you get here!

@@HereComeTheParkers Thank you for your advice. We’ll reach out to you once we settled in. If you don’t mind, I may contact you for more advice later on. I’m doing research at the moment from the US while in the process of selling our house. Is it difficult to get motorbike license?
@HereComeTheParkers
@HereComeTheParkers 2 года назад
@@pomargent4464 please feel free to contact us at any time. No problem we are happy to assist. We strongly advise getting an international driver licence from your home country before you leave. These are usually provided by your country's automobile association/s. This is all you need to ride a motorcycle here. You do not need to obtain a Thai licence. When you buy a motorcycle here no one checks to see if you've actually got a "motorcycle licence"! As long as you have a car driving licence in your home country you're fine even though this is not checked when buying a bike. The international licence is handy if you are pulled over by the cops for any reason. Always carry your passport and international licence when driving / riding. It is really not necessary but it will make things easier if the cops stop you. Always wear a helmet even though most Thais and expats don't wear them. Helmets are cheap to buy here.

@@HereComeTheParkers wow looks bigger. I'm thinking to get the Honda Click 160 or Honda ADV 160
@HereComeTheParkers
@HereComeTheParkers Год назад
@@raystan5489 sorry Ray, there was a typo in my earlier reply. It's a Honda Click 150i NOT 105i. Sorry for the error. My pick would be the ADV 160 because it has ABS on both wheels. It's more expensive though. If the budget allows, the Forza 350 or ADV 350 are great options because they will allow highway riding even with a passenger. Much more expensive though.
@raystan5489
@raystan5489 Год назад
@@HereComeTheParkers yeah I was looking at the adv 350 or 160. I think 350 is only good if I'm going on many long adventures. 160 should be good enough around CM city.. and a little off road is ok... 🙏
@HereComeTheParkers
@HereComeTheParkers Год назад
@@raystan5489 that's correct. I do go on long adventures but I hire a big bike when I do. I have been thinking of trading in the Click on a ADV 350 then I won't have to hire any more. Not sure yet.
