Awesome 😎.... Great car and new owner Anthony has some fantastic plans for it Inc coilovers and 18inch two pc BBS sport designs he's having done in bronze and black 👌🫶
At the risk of being labelled a H&S zealot, if you're going to take the trouble to bring a trolley jack please chuck in an axle stand. It's an extra minutes work to pop it under and even on soft ground like that gravel could make the biggest difference should your jack ever fail. Stay safe guys 👍.
I must admit, I do like that colour combination. Terracotta has grown on me. Sounds like that Porsche is in for a bit of a treat. What sort of money did that one go for out of curiosity? I do like the Aero kit versions.
@danstimelessclassics5899 Not bad money! Like you said, changing a few suspension arm brushes and engine mounts is relatively simple and not too expensive. They are wearing parts for a 24 year old car, it's expected. I genuinely would appreciate that car in my collection or one like it. I just need a property with more driveway space and a big garage. Although that is part of my five year plan 🤞
I've driven one of these ages ago they handle like they're on rails, the noise, the styling and the heritage is what you are paying for. Plus you can upgrade it to your liking with a load of parts mostly readily available, if I had space on my driveway and or a garage I would definitely get one. I see the desirability. Life's to short to drive boring cars. Try and get a drive in one 👍
@@79blustoneI've owned a number of Porsches previously, this particular model was always on the short list. I'm keeping my eye out, but they're still very expensive unless your happy to go with high mileage and the risk that brings.
@RomanticTuna I used to be a technician with various main dealers in the past plus I worked for a BMW specialist way back when, I've done a few bits and bobs on Porsches so a high miler wouldn't put me off so long as the bores are OK. I would take advantage of so choice engine upgrades to strengthen the engine like a few Hartech mods. Yes it would suck my money up quicker then a weekend in Amsterdam with the lads but I think it would be an adventure, its really appeals to me....I just need the driveway space that's all
@@ForensicDetailing that is Swartz black metallic. Basalt black is the flatter black colour. I’ve had one in Swartz metallic it’s a lovely colour in the sun, should we ever have any more in this country!!
Basalt black is a pearlescent colour, with metallic flakes that give off a bluish / purple hue in certain sunlight. My current car is basalt black. I always thought Swartz black was the flat black non metallic finish?
Basalt black does have a bluey type haze to it but it’s more black. Swartz metallic which is what I think that is had more gold and silver. In the sun light it looks almost like a copper tint. Lovely colour mostly seen on the earlier 996’s weirdly enough.
No mention of the "K&N Filter" sticker on the engine. In my head I would ask what else they did. Very rarely someone would put a K&N filter on without doing some other tuning
Very common to see just the K&N element in the standard air box with no other mods ...many buy them just as a life time filter .... However paired with the resonator bypass pipe it's then the best OEM+ intake modification you can do to a 996 unless you want to spend lots of money creating a separate heat wall 👍🏻
Nooo you can't get aeros that low anymore...I sell the body kits alone for 5-6k 😂 ....if you see any for 13k please let me know I buy them all under 15k 😂
the ones that go for 13k normally need 10k spending on them :) this was never a 13k car. this is a 18-22k car all day long. I would have bought it for 18k.
@@ForensicDetailing I don't think this would fetch 18-22k in the current depressed market. Not with red interior or missing original wheels, and not an XAA car. But if you can sell it in that range well done, doing well!
thats the best one yet. wasnt even a subscriber, but unsubbing as a you tube channel is making content. you cannot make this stuff up :) power of the internet.
@ForensicDetailing I see you didn't deny that's why you've suddenly had a inordinate amount of videos released recently. Good luck with the Porsche engine 👍
no mate Ive been saying it in a lot of the videos. I need to work hard and make content to pay for my porsche engine. not sure why this is an issue but whatever. you carry on with your unsubbing because we are producing content. very very strange lol. I can also see who is a subscriber and who isnt. you were never a subscriber so your comment is even more strange.
Or the actual reality - Highly collectable, they hold value because the market has shown a strong indication that the retained value is still very much appreciated even in these tough conditions and on this model of Porsche. These cars are simple to repair and maintain. You'd have to be an idiot to buy a deprecating new Ferrari in this market condition unless it's a special. Its even easier to cut and paste you favourite car off the Web and slap it over your profile. Off you pop
A peasant buys a £500 Fiesta and spends £500 on it, a Porsche enthusiast spends whatever it takes to bring the car back to life. There is a reason why Porsche cars remain on the roads (globally) and it’s thanks to guys like Dan that these cars will be kept alive.
Said knowbody ever in 2024 .....are you stuck in 2010 sir .... Wake up news is in the motoring press just realised the 996 is in fact the best 911 ever made and are all shouting it from the roof tops especially any of the previous owners .... But ofcourse ford drivers like yourself wouldn't know this yet as you've yet to reach these sorta heights lol 😜👌x
