Pros - Easy setup cons - Get hallow in eyeballs of the ring light (workaround is there but that kind of defeats the purpose of shooting in front of the ring light)
I saw a review of a Neewer ringlight where the person gave 5 stars and said how great it was but they said the light was too harsh in front of their face so they bounced it off the wall... so they should have just got a regular LED panel.
Ring light over box light for me. Seeking a light myself so I can record better videos. When it's night time or the sun isn't as bright when recording.
Thanks peter! You just made my decision easier. I just started my channel and you helped. Be well my friend and keep up the great content. Also love your other stuff! Cheers
@@BVCCo7 I’m in the US. It’s definitely broken. Going to a poodle page on Amazon 404. Try it from a different browser or clear your cache. It’s broken.
Hi im from kerala, im big fan of you 😍 i really appreciate your effort. I planned to start a channel about Earing making so which mobile is best and ring light ❤️. Expect your reply 😍😍
Thanks for the vid. Question. Would putting a diffuser sheet on the ring light work to simply diffuse the halo effect? What are your thoughts on that? Take care.
One channel used a cheap pillowcase for this as a ‘diffuser’ but I have a mini ring light that will reflect off a vinyl covered canvas 20 feet away. It’s the halo that stands out. A softbox is noticeable to to me if I forget to adjust it, but the ring light is a complete reshoot.
Hi. I really enjoyed your video, very informative, however i have a question, what would be the difference between using a 14 inch ring light as opposed to an 18 inch ring light, is there a difference in quality of video and pics using a larger or smaller ring light for youtube videos, selfies, interviews ect? Thanks!
Erm... you do know about reflecting light to make it softer right? The 1 simple trick is to turn ur ring light to full brightness, then turn it AWAY to face the wall and let the light bounce off it. That way, u get rid of all hall effects and at the same time create more gradual soft lighting.
thank you so much dude. i think the same, ring light is supremely convenient and feasible. i think i am going to buy one instead of having a noisy low quality softbox. do you remember the power of the mont dog ring light? you used in the video (in wattage)? the link is dead.
I would strongly recommend you use a script while you shoot. Something you can glance at, because you are stuttering and repeating yourself so much. It would make your vids much more enjoyable. Just my $0.02.
What a great video! I am very tall (193cm) and struggle to get a good angle for the soft box - I actually use two and still mess it up. What do you recommend?
Very helpful. I had no idea about the softbox light as an alternative. Good heads up about the glare on glasses. Is this the same set up you would use when using a laptop?
amazon links where good , found out lots of people have problems with this rings lights ...you order one thing and get something else ...but i love the way you present things and you have a calm voice ... you have a like from me :)
