Here in Switzerland, all the waterfront property is either, publically protected, commercially used or insanely expensive, or you'd have to know the right people to even get a chance to buy it. Very nice to see you live right at the water, it adds something of a calming atmosphere I think.
In Norway the waterfront is also protected (100 meters) and often expensive in central areas, but we have a lot of it and it can be cheap in more rural areas. Sweden and Norway have tens of thousands of lakes, so it's really easy to find a cabin next to a lake like Björnström lives in. Real estate is especially cheap in northern Scandinavia.
from Canada........I'm 77 years old, living in an 'old age home' and won't be doing anything for 1:09:18, have been watching this young man for 3 years now.........
I have an adopted son who lives at the same northern latitude 500 km away from this guy and he has the same gray eyes. I hold Matthias up as an example to him.
Having had a robot lawnmower for eight years, i would definitely have left the second of the pair of wires long enough to be used, because you will definitely have wire breaks several times :)
45:23 the sheer amount of labor an excavator can perform compared to a human for just a few gallons of gas an hour, practically sipping it, is truly mind blowing
Yes !! I think the same every time going on the highway casually traveling through kilometers and kilometers with just a few liters. Our human nature really is immensely weak and I’m just amazed by how mankind built entire cities and countries
I think you should put some rock in front of the outlet to prevent the dirt from washing away and create deep ruts. I love the variety of the jobs you do: from blowing up rocks to delicate engineering, keep it coming!
I've heard, using an angle grinder works perfect for making the trench for the wire. Anyways, thanks for another great video. It's always a pleasure to watch them.
You can also just install the wire on the grass with plastic or metal hooks. The grass will grow over it and in a year or two you can't find the wire again even if you wanted to. No need to do the mini trench.
Got a Spa like yours at home. You're supposed to fit the inflatable top part inside the cover so you can remove everything at once. Much more convenient. And thx for the videos :)
You’ve got yourself a nice little slice of heaven there brother, good for you! You work hard enough, you should have a quiet relaxing retreat to rest up at… Thanks for taking us along 👍🏼👍🏼
Connect the wires in parallel. Now the extra wire weakens the singal if the bare ends are in the ground. The video is really pleasant to watch. I like the beautiful ending.
there's something satisfying about seeing someone who is so handy and works with their hands all day doing everyday around-the-house chores that all us normies do
Great video as always! Those robot mower don’t like any other power cables underground it can get them confused! Maybe the cause of the couple of areas you’re having issues.
No ditch witch needed, just use the corner of the swivel bucket! 😂👍👍 Great video as always, koved to see someone still uses hemp for plumbing, nice oldschool touch! 🤘👎
Hello, your videos are very good, continue in the same direction, you are doing great. Especially corrections and modifications of technology and various machines and equipment.
04:36 If the battery wasn't already dead, it certainly is now (unless it has a BMS built in, which is not likely). Trying to charge lithium batteries in that manner will destroy them, and could potentially be very dangerous. But anyway, nice video as always!
I was wondering this too - Is the problem that you can't charge a Lithium Ion battery with a normal car battery ? I'd be suprised if the voltages etc. lined up
I'm not sure that would kill them or be particularly dangerous. He did say they were sitting from 2018, and showed they were super dead only showing a few 1/100's of a volt, which for sure will kill the cells. Looked at the stiga site, the current models about that size come with a 30v/2A charger, the batteries are 25v, pretty small, only 2 AH, and are designed to charge for 40 minutes, run for 40 minutes, which might imply any bms that might be in the shell isn't very concerned with maximizing the lifespan of the cells by doing some sort of slow top-up type charge profile, plus they clip you 300 bucks for replacements, good for business. There should be over-charging protection in the batteries themselves. But for one cycle, I'd guess the truck battery at 25v wouldn't kill them, the 1-1 charge/run cycle and the power supply suggests its charging near 30v 2A (60watt) until full anyway, profile, and there is probably near zero risk of danger.
Nice , your home and yard are looking really good , the lake / river waterway view is cool and peaceful place to spend time to relax , nice property great sunset video
Yard looks sweet and that little robo mower is cool! I could use something like that too! You are REALLY good using that excavator too! Hope you enjoyed the little hot tub.
My parents have a stiga autoclip and has been running good for 3 summers now, really saves alot of time, takes a week or so to figure out the places it gets stuck but then you're pretty good from there on. Also whatever you think and how stupid it sounds to you, you will name it eventually.
I was thinking I should get outside and get a few jobs done so I sat here for an hour or so getting motivated and entertained. Keep up the great slice of life content!
Should do a cantilevered setup for the jetskis to make it easy to take them in and out of the river. Some long aluminum spans, quick release harness on the jetski end and a concrete counterweight on the other. Balance on a pivot point. A wheel or lever to control position.
really nice with you, no pressure to like, no pressure to activate a bell, no pressure to follow. If I like something it is easy to do it but nothing works with requests.
You will be glad that you ran both conductors of that wire around your yard when one accidentally breaks. Can you explain how you control the excavator to make a straight level cut? It seems like 2 or 3 cylinders are moving at the same time, yet the cut you make is still nice and level. How do you control the speed of each “axis” so that the shovel makes a straight draw across the soil?
I hope you didn't lay the cable too tightly in the ground. I made the same mistake and the cable broke when the ground froze and expanded in winter. It's better to lay it a little looser and less perfectly in the ground. Your place is wonderful! Greetings from Germany! 🙂
@@petter5721 If what is shown is the standard I am not really sold on all the flex lines and threaded connections. Easily changed and modular, sure, but no thanks. The garden hose diameter must take forever to do anything other than water some flowers.
27:42 That looked like a masonry bit. (it's easy to confuse them with metal bits) Also, you might think about bringing the robot mower into the house in the winter. Lithium batteries don't do well in cold temps.
Excavator ability A+. Robotic Mowers never worth the $$..spend too much time mowing the same area and never get everything cut. Keep at it and some day you will have your place all completed. Nice videos!
How and where do you find all the special pieces of hardware, plumbing and electrical, fittings for the projects you do? They "just appear" and are perfect sizes and lengths!
I'm in Ohio, near Lake Erie, we're not so different you and I. We literally do all the same things here. With the exception of the Robot Lawnmower. 😂 neat property though young man. Cheers from Toledo.
nice mower. but I've had this one, and now a husqvarna. it mows differently, but in straight lanes and a stiga just goes in the wrong direction and sometimes forgets something. what it will then take with it in the next mowing, if you are lucky... good luck
I wouldn't be surprised if there are wires underground where your robot gets confused. These rudimentary Boundary Wires type robots love to get confused on those.
I question myself are there still any homes in Sweden without a robotic lawn mower....hahaha....when i was in Sweden the last 3 Weeks, every lawn was cut of course all of them i saw had roboters it kinda funny. Cheers from Tyskland mate!
