I really dig just how supportive his wife is! She's filming for him and I can only imagine how much she listens to Nano talk about all this Dragon Ball stuff even though I'm pretty sure he's said before she's not a Dragon Ball fan. He chose well
Why wouldn't she? He has 800k+ subscribers, he's making money off social media and feed his family. Not like he's some nerd with zero subscribers. Btw he's a good looking dude.
Straight up nostalgia for me. My mom used to take me to the anime store, when I was a kid in the 90s-00s, and I remember most of those GT figures were like $40 if not more. No way my mom was going to buy those, when they were like $10 at toys r us for different packaging lol
Bro....this is amazing, I remember playing with these and getting them at Japantown in San Jose. Amazing and awesome collection... nostalgia. Much Respect.
I’ve always loved the box art of the super battle collection. And although the figures themselves have aged poorly, they still hold a special place with me. Nice come up
...also, dude you are very lucky to get ALL of these in one box. These are the Hong Kong variants (the first dozen of so volumes had different packaging and were released in 1992), but even still, this collection alone is worth well over $1,000. If you had the original Japanese boxed versions, it would be even more. You young people can't hate on these! Back in the mid to late 90's this was all we had!!! They were sturdy as hell, and very awesome back then. I still love them. You definitely need to at least track down the yellow hair versions of the "gold" ones! ...and the elusive Movie Theater Exclusive 3-pack with Super Saiyan Future Trunks. Make sure to check out the link in my previous comment!
My brother has most of this collection, mostly on nostalgia. He’s missing a few that were either too expensive/hard to get everything together or he just didn’t want. I actually have a couple myself like GT Trunks and SSJ4 Vegeta! Haha. Love seeing super battle collection stuff.
JESUS H nano your calves are freaking shredded. I’m glad there was only a 1 second clip of you walking up those stairs. I started to get self conscious. Lol
The nostalgia!! I remember having that base form Goku as a kid. I'd take him outside and throw him into the air to make him 'fly', then when do I threw him the wrong way and he got stuck on the roof and I never got him back :'( I also had the Broly too but as a kid in New Zealand who could only watch it on tv I had no idea who he was.
The best part of this video is the comment section. Seeing how NG buying this classic collection of figures has triggered so many fond memories in people...myself included. I had 30 of these mint in the box until about 6 years ago when I lost them in a fire. I just started buying them back one by one!
Nano! those figures are AWESOME!!! If Brown ever wants to get rid of his Funko mini figure prototypes I saw he had, please let me know. Those are like a bucket list DBZ item for me. Keep up the great videos!
Man, nostalgia! I collected all those Super Battle Collections as a kid.. I still have em but they're all fucked up.. Baby's missing his tail, vegito got his face eaten by my dog.. Reminds me of olden days, buying $10 VHS tapes with hit or miss subs that only held 3 episodes max.. watching DB completely out of order and filling in the blanks. I wanna rebuy these figures now. These fuckers were expensive in the 90s, can't imagine now. I still keep Trunk's add-on Gill figure in my kitchen atop the fridge
Awesome collection! Now all you need is the rare 3 Pack that had Vegeta, Trunks and Goku and you'll be all set with the Super Battle Collection Series.
dude i think i actually still have that Ssj Goku figure! but wonderful vlog, you and your wife are perfect! I'm looking forward to some more vlog action!
WOOOOW! Much respected setup. That Baby monkey is going for like $500-$800+ on ebay. NanogFlexing out here. I cant wait to see what you do with all that.
I had this entire set as a kid- my mom bought them all for me at Games Express as a kid (shout out to her!) but they all got destroyed in the great Action Figure war.
I had about 15 of those when I was young used to collect them in Hong Kong, so much memories. My favorite was ssj Goku, ssj Gohan and perfect cell. Thanks for sharing this collection definitely brings back a lot of childhood memories
Yoooooo, when I was a kid I had to give away my super battle collection toys. Now I enjoy finding them and buying them all. I love this even more than S.H. Figuarts, just for nostalgia alone! They look great too!
Awesome collection!! I only have the SSJ4 Vegeta figure. 👍🏻love the displays from the guy you got the collection from. Beautiful scenarios of each group of figures.
Damn I got some of those when I was a little kid and still have some until today. :) Boxes are gone though but the figures and joy still remain. Dragon ball forever dude!
The feels, bruh.... I was in Middle school/high school when those came out... Thanks so much for doing this video. I never picked them up because they cost and arm and a leg back then being imported from Japan.
Nano has such a warming smile it's nice to look at and crazy thing is i stop my dokkan or legends playing just to watch him do it or..even this, nice figures tho too.
Wow. Im so jealous. I rememeber seeing all these figures in the Topp mags i used to buy. Those mags had some weirs art and stories. But i loved reading the dbz stories.
Suuuuper cool man I had the broly, ssj4 gogeta, ssj gohan, gotenks, the goku with the interchangeable heads, piccolo ,vegito, kid buu and frieza from this set. When you were showing them off I was like holyshit I played with those for hours when I was in like 6th grade when I got home from school. There was a cardshop/Japanese anime store called masquerade games by me (they closed down now tho rip)where they had these and a bunch more on the wall for sale.. they also had anime you could rent on VHS. I watched all of dbz in Japanese because of that place.. man the memories are real and I know exactly how you must be feeling right now. Again suuuuper cool man.
I remember the old days i used to have some of those figures. when i was a kid im begging my parents to buy me dragon ball figures from a toy store before. Unfortunately i dont have those figures anymore and now they are rare. I want to collect dragon ball figures again since im grown up now and afford to buy toys spending my own money :(
That Baby Golden Oozar figure alone goes for 1 grand on auction sites in Japan. Finding them all in one collection in mint unopened condition, is quite a find!
I have most of these figures I picked them up a couple of years ago in 2012 at an old anime shop before it was destroyed by a hurricane and man does it bring back memories
The thing is, there were amazing renditions of anime characters out there in the figure-world back in the 90s. The problem was there was pretty much nothinng decent-looking from the Dragonball, Z, GT series. It wasn’t until the late 2000s that brands like Banpresto finally kicked it up a huge notch for the franchise. Regardless, the ‘Super Battle Collection’ has always had a fond place in my heart. I still have a few kicking around at my parent’s place.
I always love the vlogs like this, breaks up all the content and they’re always fun, hopefully one time we’ll be able to see baby genix on camera going on an adventure with you, keep up the great work dude
Dude you just brought me back down memory lane! That's my childhood!!! I have pretty much every single figure in that collection, and I still keep them!! (out of the box though lol what can you do I had to play with them before) That Vol. 00 was my favorite though!!
This was a nice trip down memory lane. :] I remember having a lot of these growing up; I only have two left, which are the gold ssj goku and gold ssj broly. good times.
