That's a fantastic looking truck! I think that's a great buy from what I've seen in the Midwest. We dont have a lot of large car trucks around here like that but i think they're sweet looking! I like your "no payment" business plan too! Can't wait to see it in DirtBtute blue!
Yes I’m really happy with it so far . Not sure when I’ll be able to paint it . It drives wonderful ! Perfectly straight down the road no shakes or pulls. I hate payments because they take the fun out of work . This was a hard video to film . There was so many thoughts running through my head I found it hard to stay focused. Plus it was 100° with 60% humidity 🥵 Thanks for watching Neil!
Hey man, I live in Florida and been here my whole life. What do they do with the dump trucks up north when they tip them on their sides while dumping? That’s 90 percent of our “rebuilt/salvage” titles. If the insurance company pays out on a claim that’s more than 70 percent of the vehicles value it’ll get a rebuilt title. I wouldn’t be afraid of one myself but there’s no red tape here to use one. Just pay for tag and insurance, and your in business
Yeah so turns out I forgot to mention when I went home and talked to my insurance company they said it’s not a big deal if it is a rebuilt title. Just don’t mess with a salvage title because is hasn’t had the state inspection yet . So I went back and bought it . Can’t believe I forgot to mention it 🤦♂️. Thanks for watching. Part 2 is getting put together now !
@@benreed5656 I’m not sure . I live in Massachusetts. We just bought the truck in Florida. I can tell you I saw more dump trucks driving around in Florida the I see here on MA. The guy I bought the truck from had no work for it so the market down there must be flooded with owner operators of dump trucks
Congrats on your business purchase. She's a beast with an unrusted skeleton that needs a some exterior botox and DirtBrute blue paint and manicuring for the salty Cape Cod air and road salt winters. She's in better hands now and she's looking forward to be preening, glamming, and starring in future content uploads. 😇
Thank you ! Yes we are going to cake the frame in paint soon then undercoat it in wool wax or fluid film for the winter . Not sure which one yet. I’m still doing some research !
I deal with rebuilt titles here and there. It’s just a truck that was “totaled” and paid a claim with insurance. Could have been wrecked, rolled, water etc. If fixed correctly, can be ran with no problems. Does hurt the resale value slightly.
Yeah I looked into it when I got home and it’s not a big deal . In Florida the rebuilt trucks have to go be inspected by the state and I guess it’s a rigorous inspection. So plot twist i when back and bought it and that’s the same truck in the video. I don’t plan on selling it so I don’t care so much about resale value. But yes you are right . Thanks for watching!
*LOVE IT* ! Love HOW you present your videos to *ALWAYS* include US like we're there with you guys and PART of the goings on! The *TRUCK* - Sorry you guys wasted money & time on the first go-round but that's part of HOMEWORK! So you came home - went back & made out MUCH Better. I would have bought that & bodywork is my hobby!
Thanks ! Plot twist…I forgot to mention we went home looked into the title and bought the same truck after doing the research and talking to my insurance company. We no problems registering it. I do have a lot of body work ahead of me . Thanks for watching!
No, that was the seller trying to get one over on you. He was hoping you would not say anything. I have bought and sold many rebuilt, title vehicles, and I would never not make it clear to the buyer that he is looking at a rebuild or salvage title.
@@guythurman8355 he’s from Cuba and barely speaks English. I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he most likely has no idea the difference I could be wrong, but I didn’t get that vibe from him. Either way I’ve had it for about a year now and it’s been great. . Thanks for watching.
CONGRATS on the new truck... nothing wrong with salvage vehicles if they are priced and repaired accordingly! always do your homework, my car is salvaged and my insurance only insures the vehicle for 60% of market value, which means if it was in an accident again, the diminished value could make it a total loss easier and I you would get a lesser amount no matter if it was in better condition than the same car with a clear title.
Thanks !! Sooo plot twist ! I went back and bought the truck after doing the research into rebuilt titles , talked with my insurance company and they said no problem . I forgot to mention that part . This is the same first truck . Thanks for watching!
Hello thanks for all the content. I’m looking to buy a used quad and I’m not sure where to start looking. Can you recommend any sites that have dump truck listing. Thanks in advance
Good choice going to Gloria to buy a dump truck,I think is the best play to go,there are alot of Spanish honest people there❤Love your truck look pretty
No not at all . It was never a triaxle or a heavy spec truck to begin with. I also need it for small jobs . Triaxle has its purpose and the six wheeler has its own .
Yes I’ve since bought one . It has a few things I’ve noticed that were missing. I’ve had to put in a heater core and it took me a while to find a defrost panel with the vents . I’ve never bought a truck where I’ve had to think to look and make sure it had a defrost panel.😂
Thanks ! I was close to 60 . More like 65 .I talked him down from 80k and he was stuck at 72k for about 2 months of me talking to him . All said and done the whole trip and flights with registration , fuel and the seat I bought im probably at 70k. properly. I havent looked at the bank account since. I don’t want to be sick 😂
I don’t blame you on that salvaged title. I went down to a car lot and really liked the car but when I went to sign I realized it was a salvaged and I thought ld them no and they dropped the price a few thousand and I still told them no and walked out! Don’t blame you at all. No good!!! Congratulations on the new truck looks great!!! Definitely Florida weather!!! That’s why I hate HOA. All the rules for nothing lol lol!! Place does look nice though
Yeah turns out it was a rebuilt title which I didn’t know is different and it’s easy to register. So plot twist ..I went back and bought it ! It’s the same truck 😂. But I won’t do salvage titles . Thanks for watching
No swing gate on box are you going to install one on it? Do you know of a good swing door tailgate conversion kit I could purchase, that meets your quality level of not falling apart. Would like to install one on my dump box.
I rebuilt my dump box 2 yrs. ago and I bought a 2 way kit from Warren dump bodies in plant city fl. It was around 800.00 but easy to install and works great.
Awesome video ! I'm in the same boat searching for a pre-emission triaxle. I'm in New Jersey and can't find anything without frame spread or just totally clapped out. Nice find you got there and good luck with it !
Hey, thanks for watching. If you are looking for a nice truck, I would seriously look down in Florida. There was a few nice ones here that were a little over my budget and some debt. I just didn’t like for various reasons however, they were still a lot cleaner than up north.
What's the difference in the pre-emmission because I'm interesting in getting a dumpster truck alot of dump truck drivers are talking about pre -emmision?
You should of Looked for Trucks in California n they are selling for Dirt Cheap n I Turn down on buying a Full Semi for Only $200 n it Ran n Drove n was in great condition n the husband died n the wife couldn't pay the Storage Fees anymore n so my friend bought it n sold it , Oh n because California is out lawing Diesels
I already bought a truck from California once and it didn’t meet Massachusetts specs for heavy weight. California trucks are all late because of bridge laws there. That’s where my peterbilt came from. Florida has the same specs for trucks in mass.
I did hear there's been a ton of trucks coming out of CA bc they're new laws. Gosh imagine what would happen if CA Governor became the President. Yikes
@@In2investing oh lord help us all if that happens. They will destroy the trucking industry . That will severely disturb supply chain, causing prices of goods to go through the roof, when only a couple large trucking companies like Swift and Warner and JB Hunt, own the entire market . They can charge whatever they want.
Cali Specs are wrong for anything East of the Rockies. The build them to choak them for emissions (CARB). Rearend gears are so low (3.55, 3.26 style some even in the 2.**) you would never be able to pull an eastern mole hill.
Nice ride! That DDEC IV is a smooth runner.Great find, I have been hunting around and I am in Florida Seen way older ford 9000's lol for 50K down here. I am a C-15 single turbo or 3406B,C,E kind of guy. Thanks for taking us down the road on your adventure.
Thanks for watching! My favorite engine is a C-15 but I just couldn’t find a good deal on a truck with one . So far though I’m really happy with the series 60.
Has nothing to do with “cheap”. 5 years ago this truck that I bought would have been a 25k-30k. Anyone in the trucking business knows the used truck market went crazy and we are all over paying to get a decent truck. Clearly it was good enough for me , I bought it didn’t I ?
No because it already had a rigorous state inspection in Florida and has a certification number and sticker on the door jam . I bought the truck in the end and had no problem registering it. Thanks for watching
