Buying a new excavator auger drive attachment. Drilling post holes with it. Splitting stumps with the cone splitter. And shaving down stumps. www.skidsteers...
Andrew goes the extra mile for a video... He literally looked, found, and moved an entire tree stump just to show us how his new gadget works - that's dedication!
@@x01e Yeah, I mean he still does jobs but it’s clear playing with toys for RU-vid generates a lot more cash. To build off that, I find the evolution of RU-vid channels quite interesting. As channels grow they essentially develop into vlogs. See: Andrew videoing himself building his roof or Demolition Ranch getting views renovating a mansion.
We love Andrew’s channel because it’s genuine. He doesn’t open each video with YT formula of subscribe click likes etc. there is no paraded women, no overhyped storytelling, graphics everywhere, he makes you feel you are in the garage with him. He doesn’t oversell himself as a personality. Doesn’t think he is greater than he is. Andrew is a humble dude
Especially with what I hate more than anything are the stupid faces people make of absolute shock or horror in their thumbnails for clicks. Exaggerated emotional & with mouths wide open, etc.. You know they are coached by RU-vid to do that crap..
nice reality check comment, @james. I was going to skip this vid because of the Thumbnail. (Oh not another product promotion freebee vid) However, Andrew does drop in the all-encompassing (let's not read the manufacturing instructions and dive right in attitude) to present an open the box and we all learn something new (and have a laugh too (=entertained)). So now, I make a comment, and more educated both by Andrew and via the Commenters. I also assume the designers, (like me) and manufacturers learn too. (I may make a comment about the product later but I may also build me own with the suggested comments from Andrew) Boy (gender dependent), there is a lot to learn from this game of YTbers.
I found it even cuter when he stole Andrews ear protection in another video. I think it was when he was making that double I-Beam on the rock next to the castle.
Watching Levi grow old warms my heart I have a field Labrador just like him and he is 15 it's my old man Henry man do these guys got some big heart when they get older Henry's just ticket everyday a little rough for him to get up at times like Levi but they still managed to do it I love watching these videos and watching the pups grow
Dragging a palette up a hill with an suv, classic andrew right there. 😅 and just to point out, thank you for being the one guy who helps out a stuck mail truck. There should be more people like you in this world andrew.
To be honest. that’s just the way it’s done. Use the easiest thing you’ve got to get it done, and always lend a helping hand when you can. This is just a picture of rural America, all across this great country.
People who judge NYkers take notice. This is how Upstate NYkers are. I hate the politics of Albany and NYC just like the rest of the country does...but we are good people up here. We are rural and friendly to each other. We just talk fast.
@@davec.3198 I live in a small rural town in Northern Ontario Canada . It's the same here , freindly small town . Go to Toronto Ontario were it's large urban and it's culturally very different .
Hey Andrew, when you are using the auger, drill down, then stop the rotation, lift the auger and the dirt will stay on it. Then just swing it aside and hit the rotation once or twice to remove the dirt. Otherwise most of your dirt is still in the hole. Cheers mate, love the videos, keep 'em coming!
Every time I watch your videos I find myself thinking of how proud your parents must be of you. You are the very definition of a self-made man. Your work ethic is unmatched, you are a kind and moral person, and you're uncompromising when it comes to the quality of your work.
pretty sure Levi just wanted back in his seat. He got out inspected things and now wants back in. Damn he is getting old. Going to be a sad day for sure. Not only for Andrew yet the millions of people who have watched him over the years.
With all the equipment you have now id look into getting your own setup for making your own hydraulic hoses. Shop around and used you can pick them up pretty cheap. Its so convenient having everything on hand. You'll never regret it
just a random thought .... is it me or is watching his videos on anything he does actually intriguing, i've been watching his videos ever since levi was bouncing about like cody, it will be a real sad day when levi goes to the big dog park in the sky.
@@alastair_the_lyon That's the reason I stated he looks like my dog that passed. He started to look aged and was having trouble moving. I don't know how Levi passed, but mine passed out on the dog bed I prepared for him.
@@joebruggman Said exactly what you said but his way of saying it is better. People don't pay enough attention to what's going on in the world around them anymore. That's why we end up with liars and idiots as president.
This man is so good woth his dog. He is biting and pulling the strap he is using but says nothing to the dog. No fussing. Just keeps on working. Such a good guy.
Hey all I would like to say is that I just lost my bestfriend in a car accident and watching your videos cheer me up each day, because I always learn something new!
ANDY,, YOU Have SKILLS,,mad skills,, with All Tools, an MACHINE s !! You're the most capable person, I've ever seen. An your Furr Family Loves you too.
Your editing is really on point and underappreciated. It so entertaining throughout. I recently watched a few vids of letsdig18 and even though he has uploaded for 10+ years, your channel is more successful and I think it's down to your great storytelling, by holding on to footage for years, to form a cohesive story with neat and satisfying endings and your edits and changing camera angles. Maybe it doesn't get mentioned enough, but the effort really shows in quality and my enjoyment when you upload is always high!
Talent seems to be almost universal. It is fascinating to see that great actors generally are singers, dancers, directors, cinematographers and such. Talent seems to be an attribute that is flexible and malleable, and one either has it or one doesn't. Andrew has it!
Andrew definitely does a great job and part of his charm is that he leaves in the mistakes and screw ups, actual learning from mistakes, true reality !!
I get this from FedEx as well but after they drag it behind the truck across the US they leave it next to the porch swing. I don't have a swing on my porch.
Andrew at 5:23AM, half-naked with morning coffee, browsing heavy machinery toy accessory catalogue: "How cool is that? I wanna drill something." *adds to shopping cart*
@paul humphreys : He thinks you’re being negative and instead of pointing out why he disagrees with you, he’ll just call you “salty”. I don’t think the cone attachment is a complete waste of money but it could benefit from being run on a more powerful machine. Looks like the kubota doesn’t have enough juice to get through big stumps quickly.
Perfect timing. I just finished a day of work from home office work, now I get to watch someone do hard work outdoors. The work I wish I could do but cannot. Thanks for sharing as always Andrew!
If he would get him a tilt /rotator for that excavator he will hits million quick. Those things r fun to watch and so far the American guys only get the tilt bucket. Go watch hedblom run his. U can’t get enough of it and it makes me want to go get one to learn. I bet these young guys can pick it up fast if they play videos games
I was waiting for the "at'll work!" Figured that pin wouldnt last half an episode. Love that you adapt what is over-engineered and modify things to a method you know will work.
@@morgannoecker8702 He said that he bought them and, if he was given them ,he'd have been specifically promoting them as that would be part of the deal.
ive been running equipment for 12 years now and still that sound of popping, cracking wood is still just as satisfying as the first stump I pulled out of the ground.
@@williamdegnan4718 I would enjoy the humor of it for certain. It seems like this would be up his alley, so to speak, as he is quite funny, but mostly in subtle ways.
Man please never stop making videos, not only because you produce some of the best fun, interesting and informative occupational videos on RU-vid, but as a Lab lover myself, I enjoy seeing how well you treat and love on your best buddies as well, it's why so many of us watching your channel can't get enough of your videos. God Bless my friend.
Yeah, his age is really getting to that old dog. I remember him just very few years ago, when he was the first to jump into any body of water that showed up head first, all year round.
I liked the third instrument most...because of its crunching sound and the ad hoc fabrication of compost - the future humus. Well done video, I enjoyed it very much!
Andrew, your love to Levi is hart-breaking :) Levi is like the wine - older it gets sweeter it is. Much fun and health for you and your famili, including your dogs ofcourse !
Can you make a cement mixer from a 25 gallon barrel and post it so I can copy it for mine. I'll give all praise and credit to you but I'm not sure how to make the inner tines supported.
Nice video Andrew as usual, and nice new attachment also. So sad to see Levi incapable to do things that he loved so much to do. But glad to see that although he's getting older, is in quite good condition for his age and still having fun following you.
Never heard of this channel before, but in the first five seconds I saw a palette functioning as a trailer by being dragged along snow and gravel on a tow strap, so I'm already sold.
Hey, Andrew. It looks like Levi has the same kind of joint pain as my dog, who is also very old. I took her to the vet for it, and they prescribed her Gabapentin as a daily pill. She went from limping around to being able to stand up on her hind legs after just a week. If Levi is not already getting some kind of treatment, maybe he could benefit from this same kind of thing.
Nicely put, rather better than some of the snippy remarks about Levi. He still has a great life but it's getting to the stage that he maybe needs a wee bit of help, maybe from drugs. Thing is: Andrew knows this and I'm pretty sure he's got Levi's back.👍👌😁 Levi still makes the effort to get out and about, rather than lying about all the time, and I'm sure his lifestyle keeps him young at heart. He's actually aging better than me, so there's hope for him, especially where he is and who he's with. Maybe time for a tired old cliché: There's life in the old dog yet.👍😁
@@2H80vids Maybe we all should keep in mind, he may be looking really tired lately and limping around, but I think translated into human years, he must be somewhere between 110 and 115 years old. If I ever get that old, I would be more than glad to be able to limp around at all. I enjoy seeing that Andrew still tries to involve him with the "pack". I just wish I could read what Levi is thinking when Cody is jumping around and all over him, somewhere between, Dude youŕe annyoing and, Boy I wish I could be that young again.
I sure miss Levi. He will be sadly missed. I have lost a few of my furbabies and its not easy. That Cody sure has large shoes to fill. Sorry to bring that up Andrew, but it breaks my heart everytime I see him. GOD Bless.
Awesome tools when Andrew unboxed it I thought the stump drill was gonna be worthless it done a great job. Like any piece of equipment it's all up to the operator! Andrew is the best!
I think the last attachment is my fav. The log splitter seemed it could benefit from being longer/ less taper for the stumps you were trying to split. Cool tools an was great to watch!!
I just realized what Andrew is doing. He is getting ready for the end of the world. Buying all the tools he needs to survive and making money while he builds his collection. He already has his forest. Food forest next I bet. Fuel making plant after.
That splitter will work a lot better if you go at the log or stump from the side not the end. I have the same setup for a 3 point hitch. Works great from the side of the log.
