LS and LTs just don’t like being in low rpms in general. They lope in all gears at low rpms if you’re not putting a load on them. I have both. These engines like being worked.
That hiccup you talked about, I have too ! I always thought there was a problem with my car's transmission which is an automatic. I have realised when that happens, the car would be at around the same RPM you mentioned. I genuinely thought it was the transmission before watching this video !

Yeah, I think c5 would be better but if you you gonna get yo girl one i say get her a base one and just adde some light mods. (Ex. Fbo, exhaust, wheels)
