I dont recomend the cheap charging station that Ryan showed because I have one and over time I noticed that the sharp plastic on the top that wraps around the TouchPad, was sratching the TouchPad, te TouchPad on my ps4 controllers still work fine, but its probably better than too risk it.

The PS5's official dual charging station is fantastic. I know it's hard to find right now and people are probably tempted by knock-offs, but I highly recommend people just wait to get the official one.

Its not hard to find. In stock in all stores here, even a small store listed 5+ in stock. I didnt buy because i dont want, but i did buy extra controller and 3D Pulse headphones. Reason: experience, docks take up large space and a power outlet and they dont make the actual gaming any better.

I use the thumb grips to protect the sticks from wear and tear. I remember pretty much destroying the sticks on both of my original 360 and PS3 controllers. I used them that much, that the rubber wore down. I've used thumb grips ever since. Granted, controllers are built a little differently now (and those parts are easily replaced), but it's become habit to buy new thumb grips for each new controller 😅

I have one of those stands without the game holder. I actually really like it. I literally just use it as a base because I have a separate controller charger, and I never use the fans, but it feels sturdier than the stock stand that comes with the console and I don't have to worry about it tipping over as much. I also like the thumb grips because they protect the nubs from getting chewed up, and they feel better on my thumbs than using them without the grips.

I have a PS5 stand/cooling fan similar to the one showed. I don't use the fan, but i like how it charges the controller, has extra USB ports and organizes my game discs. The included stand for my headphones is perfect at solving the "where do i keep or hang my headphones when not in use?" Dilemna

I got a silicone cover for the controller because I wanted to help keep the controller from yellowing. I also noticed that for some reason my hands were sweating more with the dual sense than the DS4. I also used plasti dip on my system and it worked perfectly and I love it. $6 at Walmart for a can took care of it

It preserves the value. I always see how original Ferraris sell faster at a higher price than socalled improved ones with Novitec “upgrades”. Nothing lowers the price of sports cars like aftermarket parts, esp black taillights.

I actually think console "carry cases" are a good idea. Although I say that because for me I'd use it less for travelling and more for storage, since I feel its better and easier than trying to shove everything back into its box exactly where it was and making it all fit properly again, since with a "carry case" all you need to do is put it in the foam insert for the console, controller, whatever space it would have for wires and you're done.

The analog stick nubs are great for some people! Maybe it's because I have small and sweaty hands, but my thumbs tend to slip off the analog stick slowly and need readjustment. The nub makes it slightly bulkier and I can hold my thumb in a better position. I wouldn't buy them by itself, but one of my PS4 accessories came with them and it was something I never knew I needed.

For applying skins I would recommend using a mixture of dawn and water in a spray bottle to help get out air bubbles and a heat gun to help hug the curves !!

That carrying case is really nice. I got a similar case but a more expensive one from Pelican. I use it for my camera gear. It is really worth it if you want to take your console to someone else and transport it safely!

I bought some eXtremeRate Dualsense shells in clear blue and clear purple, mixed up the parts and made 2 unique controllers that I love. The shells are absolutely worth getting. I also got some transparent black plates and RGB LEDs from Toshihama that are pretty nice. I am gonna customize the plates by cutting those top front corners off to look more like the dark plates 2.0, and I plan to paint the shells with a galaxy theme from the inside with transparent paints.

Great video Mystic.It's nice to see what NOT to get too. All four of my Dualshock 4 controllers have a Sony rubberized grip cover on them. I definitely prefer them over a bareback controller any day, but you're right, the aftermarket DualSense grip cover you showed here sucks. Sony will make a much better one for sure.

I do have to say, that the official PS4 controller case they sold for a point in time is super useful. I have multiple ps4 controllers, so I keep one in that case, and leave it in my bag with my laptop for when I play PS Now if im on campus, or out for a while.

I don't really know how you would expect that. They're thin silicon wrappings, it's not like it'll stop the vibration motors inside the controller. Maybe it might muffle it a bit but it's not like it could really make any significant impact integrally.

the vertical cooling stand is well worth the purchase...it holds my ps5 stable and charges both my controllers as well as being able to charge other usb devices....the fan is unnecessary right now but I like the option of having it and it can be turned on/off at any given time....I don't use the game storage option right now but I'm glad I have the choice to use it....I would recommend the stand to any and everyone with a ps5!

The only unofficial accessory I'd like to find is a cover for the console, to protect it from dust when I don't use it. There was some of them for PS4, but it was horizontal, now with the PS5 being vertical, I'm concerned about the dust coming inside my console when I'm not using it, since there's a lot of dust in my apartment (I can remove dust from a surface, a new layer of it by the end of the day), so a cover would be great.

use a hair dryer or heat tool when applying skins to controllers to smooth the skin over the rounded parts :) tedious but aesthetically pleasing

Almost a year later I finally decided to get a skin for mine lol. Mines from Sticky Bunny though, and it covers almost all of the white, the center piece, and the stand!
