Buying E Waste Pricing Boards

Buying e-waste for gold recovery can be rewarding but all buyers need to find a commercial buyer to offload boards that have low value for backyard refining, like pc motherboards and peripheral boards.
My prices are based on what I can sell boards for here in Australia but should not be used if your in any other country, you need to find out your local prices.
Check out my recommended safety products, Furnaces & stuff on amazon.. www.amazon.com/shop/ewasteben
For gold recovery buyers, go for above market price for the good stuff, ram, slot cards, high grade boards etc.
and go much lower for pc motherboards, peripheral boards if you can't on-sell them.
Remember, ic chips and ceramic cpu's generally have a higher value sold as a collectible so always look up part numbers.

Very informative video, Ben. Thank you. I've been Escrapping for over 8 years now and have never seen a more informative video explaining to the new scrappers out there how to price, buy, and sell their scrap.

Great job Ben. WOW that was a long one. Great information. I enjoy your videos. Not many buyers would pass on this information. Most buyers I deal with wont take the time to explain the variations of all the board grading. They just tell me that's the price, love it or leave it. Keep up the great work. cheers.

Time to watch again to write down the prices of every individual board that was covered. (and take notes, and why they're that price. Thank You BEN!) That way I can explain why my prices are like they are. During the video I already called the 3 local scrappers that I know to tell them I'm buying. I already stack silver every month why not some good ewaste. I think you single handedly started a few dozen companies from ONE video! Great video Ben!!!!

wow there is a ton of information .. you really need to know all of this when buying and selling .. Thank you .. The problem is here in the U.S you need to find a buyer that is honest there are so many people that scam people even some scrap yards will low ball you even on copper

Hey Ben, great clip very informative...been trying to work out what to do with all the boards accumulating in my shed considering we have no board buyers in this island state...looks like depopulating and posting is my only option. Out of curiosity what would I expect to get for the gold fingers per kg?

Ernest Petzrick That is also my opinion! I believe Ben has the most loyal fans I've seen. When I first started getting into this I looked through almost all of the RU-vid Channels. Moose, Mike, and many more. They all had scripts and they all seemed to ask/beg for subs, likes, and shares! The only time ben has even mentioned those words was when he was doing his RU-vid Channel Year in Review and his 10,000 sub give away. As a huge fan myself, I appreciate your comments. I see them a lot!

Quick question. Why not start saving all the copper ferrite cores you find. They can cut in half and the copper easily removed.

@eWasteBen

look to get your e-waste for free and buy off other scrappers, 4.75lb is for high grade telecom, any other boards would not be worth buying at that price, go by boardsort.com prices

Ben, are you refining or recovering any of your high value gold items yet? Do you plan to do it yourself? I'm a bit scared to handle the acids and such to refine myself. Do you know of any other ways to do it or any types of companies that will refine for you?
@eWasteBen
@eWasteBen 7 лет назад
there are toll refiners around if you can find one, otherwise it's large companies but they want larger volumes. no I haven't started refining yet but will do it when I slow down with scrapping, just keep stacking the good stuff and wait for gold to jump up a lot, then you can just sell it if you don't want to do it yourself

eWaste Ben I was I have a very shinny disk that came out of a sealed case that was inside of the computer. I was wondering if u might b able to tell me what that disk is. it doesn't seem to b plastic & it's not glass, it's some sort of metal, I drilled a small hole through it to see if it's just coated & it seems to go all the way through. let me know if u know what I'm talking about. I'd take a picture but can't figure out how to attach it on here.
@xdebugxDotNet

I think your talking about a hard drive platter. They are usually coated with platinum, but it's a very thin (microns) coating. They are not worth very much unless you have a lot, I've seen some places that buy them though.

The E- Scrap Man the green fiber that you show on 55:52
@TheEScrapMan
@TheEScrapMan 7 лет назад
Helder Freitas I couldn't find any data on these CPUs. The reason for this is the recovery rate is terribly low. The pins aren't thickly plated, and there is an incredibly small amount of extremely thin gold plating present, with no hidden gold to be found anywhere. What you see is what you get. My advice would be to sell them somewhere else, and save up money to get ceramics. They will be more worth your time. I hope this helps.

Big Balls No, it's not that. All I am doing is trying to help out the OP of the comment. Sure, I can't stand people who say "first xD", but I don't get enraged when somebody posts something like that. I simply ignore it and move on with it, realizing it's just part of the internet, a meme or trend. I did pay attention to it this time because I noticed somebody getting unnecessarily angry about the comment. I hope this clears up some misconceptions. if you don't like what I am saying, simply block and ignore me, simple. You don't need to keep replying to me over and over again. it will just make you more angry each time.
