Even a oem quick shifter will do if you want to go first to second without problems rekluse clutch is with auto blip I’m not sure if rekluse makes street bike clutches but it’s 2021 I’m sure you can buy anything also quick shifters will increase your lap time and cop your escape time

Yes but your car is not switching at 7000+ rpm either. More wear and tear on your motor. I was told 20k is a lot for a bike. And that is like it being used because like he said in the video if I got it new and had it for 50000 miles I at least know I took care of it and changed the oils properly compared to not knowing at all

It was definitely maintained properly and prob only had one owner for most of those miles

Honda states in the recall for the 08-09 CBRs , “only a small percentage of owners will experience this problem” . Personally , I am thinking that a batch/certain number of primary gears (the part that Honda is saying can cause the whining noise) were compromised in some way during the manufacturing process, resulting in them not being as durable/strong as they should be. If Honda knew that this was a part that would fail without a doubt, and that every 2008-09 CBR1000RR would need it replaced, they would have stated so in the letter sent to the owners . Honda was replacing the entire crankshaft under warranty due to the recall, but in reality it is ONLY the primary drive gear that is the issue. I can’t find an OEM primary drive gear for sale on its own, only the entire camshaft. My 08 cbr only has 8800 miles on it and it’s strong and sounds great, so I am not going to worry about replacing the primary drive gear for now. After some research I’ saw a guy on a forum who showed that the primary drive gear can be removed from the crankshaft and replaced, you do NOT need to replace the entire crankshaft. Only other issue in 08 was the bikes burning oil due to thin rings, so just check your oil level every couple of rides and you should be just fine. I do plan to eventually purchase all new pistons, rings , and the primary drive gear, and I’ll have Evan Steele Performance here in Tucson do the work, than have the bike tuned.

@@SomeAcidCash except it isn't insane at all, that's literally 4 thousand miles per year since new, which is next to nothing. Modern bike engines that have been well maintained and not severely beaten every occasion will do car engine mileage. Read "well maintained".

@@DenvarShay I understand what you’re saying completely but the only thing is I’m the video he mentioned he had no prior record of how the bike was kept so 53k miles unrecorded should make you(as in anyone) skeptical! But with that being said you’re correct a well maintained engine can put out 100k miles with good care.
