This is a home run, HH! Twin Counter rotating props, flaps, comes WITH Floats that have a nice looking float rudder setup, great scale look and color/trim scheme. Nice moderate size and easily removable wing; oh, yeah!
I love this plane and can’t recommend it enough. It’s such a great parkflyer that works great for both slow cruising and acrobatics. The fact that the floats are included Is such a treat and they came to good use for takeoff/landings now when it was snow on the ground. 😀 I’m looking forward to testing it on the lake when it becomes a little warmer. --- Btw. As I said; the plane I great, but it would be AWESOME if you guys would edit the ”music” or the repeating loop that’s used in HH flight demo videos to something more creative. I know it's a small and picky thing but watching more than 2 two demo videos b2b is a little rough with sound ON. If the reason for using these loops has something to do with copyrights or something music would be happy to make some tracks for you guys to edit and chop up as you like. I know It's a minor detail and has nothing to do with the quality of your products, but it would make it much easier to watch demo videos without any talking much easier to watch, especially when watching more than one. Thanks for making quality RC products!
Unfortunately we no longer work with the factory that produced this model for us so it won't be coming back, but we do have something even better coming to replace it ;)
@@HorizonHobbyProductssuch a shame, this plane is awesome and i really want to buy it but availability is really limited. I don't think you could replace such a masterpiece especially when it comes to the price range and capability like this one has
I couldn't agree more 💯 This was one of the best deals in RC aircraft & the attention to detail was impressive for something made of foam. War birds are great but the market is saturated with them. Civil aviation models are few & generally expensive. This was exactly the right bang for buck and modeled after one of the most well known & extremely popular STOL aircraft in the world. So popular in fact that Twin Otters are STILL in production today. I'm happy we still have the UMX version but will absolutely sing Horizons praises if they ever decide to do a re-release. It's not like they've never done that before. 🤔👍
Another Amazing Aircraft from HH! Got my order in! Can we see an unboxing video soon? Thanks HH for another incredible Aircraft ! Can not wait to receive my Twin Otter!
Nice video, only suggestion would be to show how it comes apart e.g. do you have to individually plug the servos in when you take the wing off . Definitely has me wanting one
I'm looking to get back into the hobby and flying more seriously with a club this year. 15 years ago I was a teenager and just flew a powered glider around my school football field. Is there any thoughts you have about a beginner getting a twin engine plane as their first plane? My reasons for this are: 1: straight up, I do not have the $ to buy multiple $300 CAD planes lol. But also 2. equally important, I like the twin otter because the motors are raised vs single engines which are right at the nose. Less chance for damage is what my thought process is. That being said, is a 2 engine more variable/ unpredictable for a beginner to handle? I can't imagine it would be much different than a single engine but would like to know your thoughts as you seem to be very knowledgeable here! Cheers! Happy new subscriber here
@@HorizonHobbyProducts only bad thing about that is landing. If it's even alittle rough of a landing it'll probably spit the front gear out. I've had to rework the front gear on my dynam Cessna 3 times now and it even has alittle cushion. I probably still buy it though lol. See what happens
Hello WashintonFlightSimmer! This model does not include a remote, battery or charger because it is only intended for pilots who have already learned to fly with a trainer RC airplane first. We recommend purchasing the RTF version of the HobbyZone AeroScout ( www.horizonhobby.com/product/aeroscout-s-2-1.1m-rtf-with-safe/HBZ38000.html ) because it includes the controller/remote, battery and charger. It is a perfect trainer, but also much more ( as seen in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eHA49QecFR0.html)...and best of all, after you learn to fly that model successfully, you can use the same controller/remote, battery and charger with this Twin Otter 1.2m model!
Ron, depending on flying style, you could easily get 15 minutes with a 3200 mAh pack! That being said, we obviously recommend starting with a modest 6-7 minute timer and increasing from there.
Cute Plane, Butt She Needs 8ch RX, Diverse Throttled Motors w/Reversing ESCs + S-MORE Lights!!! LOL Thanks PS Do Y'alls Need A Great Plane Designer? Hmmm, I'm Available For Hire!!! ;~)P
