In this video my dad finally buys his dream 18 wheeler. He has been working very hard to slowly be able to afford a 379 Peterbilt. This one needs some work but with some love it will turn out amazing. I hope you guys enjoy this video.
The grease in the tunnel box is caused by wrecker drivers. When they drop the driveline to tow it they stick it in there. This truck's been towed many times.
Helping your father with his dream truck is really dope!!!!! It’s a work in progress for sure but the end result will be to your father’s liking and something he can enjoy with all of you as he makes his living trucking!!!! Be safe and we will see you on the next one 😎✌️
Best of luck with the truck. I've had some exceptionally nice pete's over the years (40) on the road and it's tough to beat that in the looks department. Tlc will get it to mint condition over time but it's got mad potential. It will be cool to see the transformation vids of your truck. Best wishes dad and sons. Mustang rocks too by the way. Subbed
How much did you guys sell the truck for?. I just bought a 1984 359 Pete for 2700. And put a total of 17000 in it But now it’s a pretty much close to being a brand new truck once I put some new upholstery in it which will be like another 5 grand but doing that until next year sometime.
this is my Pete and I just brought another one myself 5 weeks ago for 35k a 2001 just like yours you need to strip out most of the interior fix what is broken do deep cleaning trick out the paint a little check out the c-15 cat I guess you have over a million miles on it just like the one I have. check out everything before you put it to work. good luck and have fun with it!!
Don't get to gitty over big pipes and fiberglass fenders. Every semi will pretty much show its history if you know how and where to look. Pop that radiator cap !
Boy, you caught a"Steal" I'm waiting for fuel prices to hit, $9 bucks a gallon I'm looking for those guys trying to get rid of their old Pete's 1998s what I want at your price. Lala
Jason Smith Yeah... turns out they don’t drive great either. And the turning radius is crap 😅. So we ended up selling it and getting something more comfortable and easier to use. But thanks a lot man!! We barely started this business like 3 years ago! So we are still noobies compared to you. Lol
Ghost Project Just don't stop keep on going I know some truck are really bad but you will find a better one. I know you guys will make money in trucking just be careful when driving. Take care and support your Dad I'm proud of you guys👍🙂
Did ya'll even check the truck out before ya'll bought it? Did ya'll even get under the truck and check the drive shaft at least? GOT TO CHECK USED TRUCKS OUT GOOD
All that grease in the floorboard is from leaking oil jugs I’m guessing the previous owner had to put a gallon in every thousand miles From the look of all the oil on the back of the fuel tanks.. but it ain’t nothing 10grand can’t fix.
Hey guys unfortunately we don’t own this truck anymore, but we got something much much better. Stay tune for the next couple of videos to find out what it is🤫. Or follow me on my Instagram @ghostproject_cu for a sneak pic before RU-vid.
@@GhostProjectcu 🤣🤣 I've got my answers on your other video with the Red Pete 😜 I probably I've done the same thing!! When someone have cash in hand and it's a good deal.. you can't let it go 😎
You can expect a rig like that to need work rate out the get go. Most old 379's are like buying an old Camaro......the majority of them have had the hell run out of them .
It’s a money I bought one just like it , one the way home on a 12 hour drive from the dealer about 4 hours into the drive at 9:30 at night the headlights went out , I new then I bought a problem child . Spent thousands on it for multiple problems I fixed myself then got tired of the pit and dumped it ..
You drove 3 hours for a 15 yr old truck?...and you get there A/C doesnt work..interior looks like shit..grease on the floor boards...good luck with that..lol
