Yeah, I agree, that was one cool dog. BTW, what did he do with the dog. The last I see it is at 39:35. I hope he didn't fall overboard! Or left on the island! Heeeeeessuuuucchhhhaagoooooodbooooy.
This was one of the first videos I found of yours a couple years ago and now I came back to re-live the “first-time feelings”, happy to see Levi will always live on in your videos. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO ANDREW!!!
Well Andrew, you've certainly got skills. I admire how you figure things out, beginning with "let's see what's happening here". Then you go about problem solving with skills rare in a young man. I am not wrapped up in jet ski's, just admire good mechanicing and problem solving, making treasure out of someones old trash. I am now a follower. Many thanks.
Andrew is a life lesson for us all. That is 'nothing is irredeemable'! With the right tools, the right work space and a 'can do' attitude anything is possible. I am subscribed to Andrew's channel and through watching many of them I have lot a little about engineering, metalwork, carpentry, etc., but, and more importantly, a LOT about one's attitude to life. Thank you Andrew.
Likes not pay anything to the creator like they did years go, Andrew could make a mint with a Patreon Account but he said that makes him feel cheap. He could have added ads but it seems like money that could be made through ads is not something that interests him. I wish more creators were like Andrew.
I applaud him for this. Doing that has to be incredibly hard. Trying to keep 5 different videos you're bouncing between organized footage wise, and remembering what you have and haven't covered. and filming for weeks before making a video. but the end result is so much better. I just wish he put ad breaks in his videos. He deserves the ad rev.
Also all the time spent setting up the camera and getting shots while working, driving, etc That's tough because the camera runs for 30 minutes for a minute of used footage. and it's hard when you're in the middle of something to stop, and re-position the camera.
For some reason YTube kept popping up these Jetski videos on my recommended videos list. Finally, one day when nothing much else was going on, I broke down and watched them. Months later, I have completely lost track of how many of Andrew's videos I have watched. I have even come back to re-watch the Jetski videos again because they are so great. Fantastic work Andrew.
@Andrew - I really like how you don't get frustrated and don't curse. You just work and fix things. You are very motivated and an inspiration to others. Keep it up
I laughed way harder than I should at that part when he said it was cheaper to get a trailer with Waverunners included. I hadn't realized those weren't the same ones he was working on since I was checking out the trailer.
Thank you, Andrew, for the spectacular view of Bannerman's Island. I rarely leave a comment, but since I'll never get to see this in person and had no idea it existed, I felt a Thanks was in order.
That moment...when you say to your friends, Let’s go jet skiing! They reply, Sure but we don’t have jet skis... And you come back with, Its ok, I’ve got 8 of them.... and Levi is the coolest dog,
poisonousnut and realize how empty and unfullfillfull your life has been because you have done nothing and silenced your own internal cries to action by watching somebody else do something...
This is by far one of the best channels on youtube, instead of posting 4 different videos on this one project you posted one video finishing it all, your not about the RU-vid ad revenue, I appreciate that.
I cant wait for my shop to be built. Prior to buying my house I've always been limited to working around everyone else situation. Now that I got my own place 3 months I can finally build and have my own shop where I can tinker and build things. I already acquired a free riding lawn mower that needed a new carb and a steering gear and it's fixed. Then my Dad asked if I wanted his old jet ski that doesn't run. I'm going to go pick up the Jet ski this weekend. So much fun having your own place to acquire stuff to fix!!
Totally admire your ingenuity and determination! I hate waverunners but watched the whole video. Know the guy from Sulphur Springs TX who invented JB weld who was a lot like you. Sad thing he sold his whole company for $10k to Bonner Wholesale and now it’s worth a billion. Have bought hundreds of tubes over the last 60 years, some for 99 cents with the label held on with a rubber band. Most guys your age can’t fix anything. You’re a rare breed!
Dude, you're a badass. I'm so impressed with your overall knowledge and skill fixing things. Well done. And you have a cool crew to share all this fun stuff with. Thanks for the videos.
A mr fix it and one of the best video makers on RU-vid. This man has talent beyond fantastic. Thanks Andrew I am sure everyone feels the same about you. More please.
I wanted to take a minute to say that your video on jet ski engine repair was SPECTACULAR! A+ to you. You did it to where it to where ALL of us out here learned it the easy way. I'm hella confident that I to can fix a jet ski up . A+ brother...Thanks
LOL we all know that sumbich is gonna be in the Hudson before too long ! Buys it for $25, spends $1000 to get it running, worth it to get another girl out there in the sun !!
Totally love this stuff, i wish i had this much space to do all of these custom projects. I love the pics with the crew out there having a great time on the water :) Great job and nice to see the progress of it.
Thanks for showing Bannerman Castle. Your part of the country is all new to me, but I turned down an offer from IBM to work in East Fishkill 50 years ago.
I'm sorry to write more than 1 comment but DUDE!!!! Your teachings have helped a few of my friends to where we are going to start buying some ones that are in good shape but need engine repair. Thanks again....
I love watching you bring dead machines back from the grave, you are the greatest in my book. Stay safe and stay awesome! Levi seemed to be favoring one of his legs in your intro, I hope and pray he is okay! Probably arthritis and he needs a good warm hot tub.
I saw this old Waverunner posted for sale and looked it up to find more about it and that's how I found your video Andrew. Now I'm definitely interested in getting that old jet ski. You videos are very informative and I'll be watching more of them.
Yes! Watch his real foreman appearance while supervising the unloading in the beginning and the elbow-out-pose in the first ride! That is one cool dog for sure! :-D
@@rronaldreagan Obviously, that's an option, but he has a lot of friends it seems. He should build container cabins, have summer guests, hire an assistant to handle the daily tours and entertainment!
You're not only good at what you do, but you're good at videoing it in such a way that it looks interesting to non-experts and you move quickly enough to avoid boredom without our missing the important parts.
Alright, I have been watching your videos on and off now long enough to become compelled to comment. I don’t know if you will ever see this, but I want you to know that I am emotionally triggered by the genius of your choices to work hard and make wise decisions. Why? I was like you at age 18 and by 22 had a wife and kids, new home and plenty of toys. Since life has seasons, a divorce and mental illness has become an unwelcome gift now for about 10 years. I weep with sadness and joy to watch your amazing accomplishments. I’m writing to say this: Amongst all the great things in life you enjoy, always cherish your healthy mind as the greatest thing God gave you. Thanks so very much for sharing your life with us all. I deeply admire and pray for your continued journeys to be better every day. Your a good man. John Olsen West Palm Beach FL
So watching Andrew takes care of a boring weekend and its like a commercial for repairing waverunners and other tidbits, thanks Andrew for the information from your vast knowledge of repairing used equipment.
Great video! I didn't know much about Waverunners an hour ago and probably still don't but thoroughly enjoyed watching you bring yours back from the dead. The Hudson shots were really beautiful. Oh, and your dog hangin' on was priceless!
Yes I'm sure it was. Pollepei Island was bought by Bannerman in 1900 and construction of his military surplus storage facility began in 1901 and was halted in 1918 after he died. In 1920 200 pounds of gunpowder stored in a nearby building exploded. On August 8, 1968 the main building caught fire after many decades of vandalism and neglect. In December of 2009 40% of the front wall and half of the east wall collapsed. It is currently owned by the state and managed by the Bannerman Castle Trust. They conduct hard hat tours for visitors.
It took me a minute to figure it out..the building looked like a castle..and then I realized there's 5 shipping containers in the one building!! I like your style. How you fix stuff, your not afraid of anything, you don't freak out when you realize the engine is shot or something, you and I are cut from the same cloth. Keep up the great work. And thank you so much for taking the time to create, edit and post your content..it's very time consuming.
Andrew .... you are UNSTOPPABLE !!! No matter what your content, you always amaze me with your tenacity and just good ol' down home common sense. Please keep up the great videos and we'll keep watching !!! :)
So Andrew figures he’ll test his wave runner by going all the way down the Hudson, across the Atlantic and while he’s in London, he fixes their Brexit problem. On to the next job...great video my friend. Matt
Ive seen this video before and I still love it, and gang out there with some classic jet skis is just epic. Im working my way up to get more people on the lake to switch from boats to jet skis haha. Great work.
I had driven home from London, 2 hrs 40 minutes no stopping. It was near midnight, but i thiught I'd have a 'quick' look and see what was happening. Next thing i knew it was 01:40am. Where did the time go? 😂
Thanks for the awesome vids, my little son and I enjoy watching them together. He wanted me to write and say thank you and that one day he hopes to do cool stuff like you do too :) We appreciate the effort to record and publish xx
I love your channel!!! I was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. Watching this video brought back many memories of the days my Dad and I went canoeing. We Went canoeing by
