@@amielmayor2767 Hell yea man. I remember those days as well! That accident was the end of the Subaru basically. Having 3 240s, and working for Ogara. If I had to put some words to why I think the videos are different now than then, it was that it seemed so attainable back then, that any of us could have done what he was doing. Now hes "made it". Its awesome to watch and think of the timeline. Dut definitely put #inthetime . Its been rad to see it all unfold.

I was thinking the same…Dustin must have spent a LOT of time dreaming about cars throughout his life! Either way nice buy/re-buy, Dustin. I almost bought a new white one in 2018 off the showroom floor but couldn’t get over the $15k markup..got a 2018 ZR2 colorado instead. Hindsight I should have bought it obviously

I have the 2016 CIVIC FK2 and done 55000km in 6 years with NO issues whatsoever. VERY reliable, fun and easy to daily. 306hp standard is a great platform to work from.

I also like the fact that Dustin still keeps things affordable and more relatable when it comes to his car selection.. I bought my 2022 Hyundai Elantra N for the exact same reason. Something that is a pleasure to drive to and from the track and everyday but also track capable and engaging. I know most of your audience is like lol Hyundai, but this thing is the real deal for a very affordable trackable daily. Congrats of the FK8, white would be my pick too. She's a beaut!

Perfect addition. My Coworker built one of these with JDM Varis front. I grew up in the 90s era Civics. I’m glad people still build Hondas today. I can’t wait to see what you do to yours and how you make it an extension of your personality. That was really nerve racking when you installed the oil cap and Js decal. I’m glad your eyes are calibrated with precision. Takes years to master that level of o.c.d haha. I once did that to my TRD Oil Cap in my car and it was slightly crooked. Ended up buying and new one to redo it since it bothered me so much and used a laser to install it perfectly square. I’ve got issues.

Congrats on the new type R! I've never heard one that sounds nice though I'll be honest, so better put on a proper exhaust so we can hear what it sounds like. My vote is keeping it oem+ just add lip, wheels with meaty set up, small drop and enjoy the crap out of it and take it to the mountains with the type r boys. Remember when you did a shoot with your wrx with that evo 8 and a group of type Rs drove in the mountains? Join them for those runs

I’d 100% recommend hitting up Unity Performance for a set of their LED side markers if they’re available. Or just the JDM clear ones. They look super clean and really enhance the look of the car by removing the orange bricks.

Make sure u ceramic tint the windshield. The J’s Racing Shift Boot ring is anodized red and fades to a light pink over a few months

So glad I found this channel while you were in Japan… watching you pick up a CTR and installing all the little minor goodies made me flash back to the late 90s when I got my Integra… the ITR came up several years later and never released the CTR… Back in my time we had an air freshener… CSX3 in squash similar to that color freshener you got. If this is anything like that particular fragrance back in my days, game over, they just found a new customer! Would love to ask you some questions about your garage some day!
