Just rotate the fuses , they tend to get some corrosion on the contact face then they don't make contact! the ignition box looks similar to an old Porsche 911 ignition box
I think he should just bypass them, realistically he wouldn't have to worry about shorting any sensitive electronics. Only thing he would have to worry about is a fire 🔥👨🚒
I’m not gonna lie, a lot of us probably wanna see the aventador done asap. But being able to pull them both up somewhere and say you built them both is worth keeping us wait🤝
Now he just needs to get a long car trailer so he can take both of them to car shows without having to pay for the shipping. He’s already got the truck
Sophie is still a Canadian citizen so she is in it for a green card. They secretly got married and living together now for legal reasons. Nothing is what it seems - remember that boys and girls
dear james, yes you should do the build by yourself because when you were doing the roadster you learnt some new things and the car turned out amazing. and when you took it for test drives to see what was wrong you were able to spot them and fix that problem.
I'd bet there are AT LEAST 3 of James' neighbors secretly standing at their windows watching, filming him and nodding their head on a daily basis while thinking, 'WTF IS HE DOING NOW?!?!' 🤣 🤣 🤣
@@sammorris7931, I've always thought the same exact thing. All that land out there in Utah, I would have definitely built a home someplace a lot more private.
Sophie is by far the coolest chick ever to hit the channel. She got dirty with you! And she just pulls up with a vehicle like shes owns it! Shes a keeper, 100%
Any normal person would go and buy tractor but James just looks the other way and decides to buy a lifted smart car! Absolutely hilarious! Love your stuff man!
You and Sophia make such a great pair. I always smile seeing you both on screen. The hummer fiasco was fantastic and the fact she was willing to ruin the nikes in the smart car and laugh with you is a moment that'll last forever.
I love how hilarious this dumb decision was for James and he is absolutely loving it and living the dream! That said, you are going to add a 300-400lb snow plow on the front after it already has a full roll-cage weighing it down and only 90hp in that car. This thing will not be able to move at all once you do that 😂
Awesome rig! It was built on the show "Car Masters: Rust to Riches" in Season 1 Episode 1 "Outsmarted" for the Doffo Winery. It looks like it was probably built sometime in 2017 or 2018. On the show, they said they built it for $10,000, and sold it to the winery for $16,000. It was also wrapped white and red, with the cage also being red. Last year, it sold on Cars and Bids for $23,000. My guess is that you paid $6,000 for it.

So here's to you, The Stradman, A man whose passion knows no end, Thank you for sharing your love for cars, And inspiring us all to reach for the stars.
Do the carbon fiber build yourself. While I’m sure most of us would love to see the Aventador finished ASAP, I think we are more in agreement on the latter: building yourself = more video uploads and more Strad days for us 💜
If you're confident in your ability to do the work yourself then by all means, do that because it will be so much more appreciated if you've done the wrenching ... you've always got your amazing assistant, she seems like she can handle it
Man seeing these videos of the house and all the cars makes me so happy for him. I remember watching when he and Burlacher lived together and that was a while ago. Good job Stradman
Personally whatever James buys doesn’t bother me or what he has to sell but he makes me happy to see as a channel and a community and growing every, post is great I will acknowledge James as an ultimate RU-vidr and influencer thank you James for you're inspiration
James your videos are always amazing to watch. Your attitude is infectious and im glad youre doing so well in life, you definitely deserve it! wishing you the best my man!!
Yeah he needs it. That Karen incident of 2022. Oof. "Daddies money" not knowing his dad sadly passed a year before the incident. People like her I swear...
@@TheAleschu Yup, the Hamilton Collection I think Four months ago, and strad too. Let me check. They were at a gas station, and a Karen came out of no where and harassed them, most importantly made fun of strad man about "daddies money" not knowing he lost his.
@@TheMadIsRealXXR yeah I guess but after you get bored of the banging then you need to find a girl who shares a lot of your passions --- and Sophie seems to love cars as much as James
I fully endorse this purchase! That is clearly a vehicle built for laughs and smiles!! It’s completely amazing! Well done! Bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻 I tip my hat to you! 😁
Based on the limited view of the fuse. They look good, as long as the metal strip down the middle is solid you should be good.I remember those from my old VW bug.
This is what I would like to see more of. Build some lower priced vehicles ina "I don't give a shit what other people think" kind of way. Like rotary swapping a C5 Vette, or a mad slammed Datsun 510 with a built RB. Someone with your money could do some really cool stuff nobody else can.
If this guy can live in his Audi making car videos and then years later have a million dollar dream house and multimillion dollar car collection we can take what he have and work hard to get up to his level.
Call me crazy, but I'm fairly certain that nobody ever in the history of this channel would have thought to, let alone actually, claimed that he would never buy this very random specific vehicle, hater or otherwise😂
James, I kept laughing through the whole video. Made my day. I almost had to stop watching because my jaws were hurting so bad. You guys are absolutely amazing. BTW, the car, it's absolutely priceless.😂😂😂
in all honesty id like you to go to a pro and get it done quickly but that's just me craving content it would be better if you build it yourself cause you would have a connection to the build that you wouldn't have if you got it done by pros. Im pretty sure no one would mind it takin 15 times longer as long as you do what feels best keep it up strad!
Looks like a lifted smart car from the thumbnail 🔥🔥 Can’t wait for the full carbon Aventador!!! Killing it with that one Edit: holy shit I nailed that guess!! It looked too much like a smart car shape!! Lol I knew it
That smart car was driven in a vineyard hence the light bar’s, roll cage, the lift, and the shovel. It also used to be wrapped red and white. That car was specially designed by Gotham Garage by request of a client to handle driving in a vineyard
I am not going to read all the amounts of comments to see if someone has mention this. But @thestradman step 1 i recommend taking the engine to the bin, buy a good motorcycle engine (many have used engine from Hayabusa and drop it in, step 2 for traction in snow and slippery condition add weight in the back and put a lot of studs in the tires step 3 put a plow on it and you are ready to plow the neighborhood.
James, you are crazy for doing that when I saw it I wasn’t expecting anything except for just to be a normal smart car but then I saw everything oh thought it said I was dying that is probably one of the coolest cars in your collection
I gotta say, in theory it's a cool little ride -- it definitely looks cool!! The only negative (which is a big one for me) is the utter lack of power. I've seen scooters here in Miami with more oooomph than a SmartCar! LOL
The battery will have a surface charge making it show 100, when u take that surface charge off with a battery load tester, it will show you the real state of the battery. Also, check your terminals, they could be loose.
I would love to see you do another Aventador build and because of your experience with the widebody Aventador you have an idea of how the car will come apart
This hits home so hard because when I was about to get my first car me and my dad saw a smart car with a snowplow and he told me he would get it for me I love the coincidence here lmao
Hey James were you were cleaning the car you should put a shed connected to the house/next to the house and make that shed a detail shed with a power washer and things like that
Build it yourself. You'll be able to get great content and save some movey in the meanwhile while hopefully making more. I can speak for many to say we'd enjoy watching you go at another build. Especially to make it that pair of aventadors you imagine at the shows. I bet it would be cool to say you build both of them.
