True. Al Sifah is mostly for tourists or expats who want to enjoy a weekend or a week of relax out of Muscat. There is little to do there apart from going to the beach or enjoying the swimming pool
My wife and i went to view the two bed villa on the sea front and the farm house, we were very impressed. We could easily see ourselves buying a property there.
Consider making videos on these subjects, please: What are the health care arrangements/facilities like in oman? And what business/job opportunities are available.
@@HassanAbuBakar mostly focus on their own citizen. and company needs to hire one omani atleast and pay 350 salary to omani aswell. i would suggest try for dubai. even i am going back to pakistan doing job here for 150 200OMR of no use. as a freelancer i can earn more.
Respect brother - keep the uploads going your gaining a decent community in us Brits planning on making Hijra. Great content and fantastic to the point videos.
This is so nice. I’m ready to move now. What a beautiful view. May Allah (SWT) bless all your efforts and how you are helping other Muslims to possibly make Hijr Jazak Allah Khayern Ahki
Excellent overall. Having stayed in the Dubai market for 30years+ I can say that Oman is at a different level in terms of integrating natural beauty with modern day living. There is a very small change I would like to see from a technical standpoint and this is a message to the developers (from what I have seen in the video) is to NOT use Split AC's no matter what. Developers must deploy centralised heating and cooling systems, maintenance of which must be undertaken by the developer on a periodic basis. This will not only make it hassle-free for the client but will also add to the aesthetics of the design, easy of use and maintenance - all over a long period of time. Tks.
not to be a nay sayer but I really disagree. 1. I want to control my own ac. 2. central ducts collect too much dust and dirt thus making it very unhealthy
Before you take another step, check out what is currently available at Al Mouj. The one bedroom flat at Muscat Hills (?) at 54,000 would be a VERY good buy if you were buying that particular flat, but remember you were looking at a show home. You might end up with something with a very different view. The villa at Jebel Sifa looks fabulous, but remember that again you were looking at a show home. You could well end up with something less attractive, and in the summer, the humidity there will be horrific. The third house is again very good value, but parts of it look unfinished (wires sticking out of the wall) and not one of those properties has an actual bath in any of the bathrooms. Furthermore, Muscat Hills and Jebel Sifa both pose the question - where do you shop? Al Mouj, but contrast, is in the middle of everything - close to the airport; an established, thriving community, easy to access, close to shops, thriving range of restaurants and even on a public transport network.
Almost is nice but no way beautiful like this place, quietness is all we want , if there’s masjid, hospital and supermarkets that’s it, and I’m sure those facilities are there … transport if you have your own car that’s it Alhamdulilah
Good points. But for someone like me I’m more focused on what’s local to me aka masjid, shops, restaurants, shopping centres etc. Does jebel Sifa meet all of these criteria?
@@alseddiqthabit2887 Jebel Sifa is actually fairly remote. It's well down the coast from Muscat proper and while I'm fairly sure there is a mosque (there's a mosque everywhere in Oman) shops, restaurants and shopping centres, in the plural, are few and far between.
I stayed in one of those apartments in Jabel Sifah last year, to be honest after a week, I got tired of the view and the isolation from humans except restaurant/hotel staff. It’s good for a retreat but still I prefer life in Muscat.
So good that you share it. Actually I live in this area too. As remote working person, I am super happy to live in Jebel Sifah here. Thank you very much for sharing and I will share your video to my friends who doesnt know Oman much. Oman is a super lovely country. It is the best investment I ever made here too.
Biggest issue I’ve seen in the Middle East is that it’s a bloody desert. They have to water the living daylights out of the ground to get anything that even resembles plant life. Also it is desolate. Whether it’s Dubai, or Oman or any other desert region it’s pretty much uninhabitable without 100% intervention. You can’t just take a stroll, everything is by car and there’s not much to do. People don’t just hang around unless it’s a mall etc. I would seriously urge people to take a look at places in Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Brunei, Singapore etc. Also, moving back to the home countries isn’t a bad shout either. We are thinking of moving back to Bangladesh on a semi basis preferably living 6-8 months in Bangladesh and the rest back in the UK as most of the family is there. Currently building a lovely property on the land that my dad left us iA. North African Arab countries aren’t too bad, also Egypt is ok too but the Middle East? It’s easy to fall for the shiny exterior but in reality it’s hell!
Thousands of people are fine living in what you call a "Bloody desert" and thousands more are moving every month. At least there are no taxes. the crime rate is near zero, the roads are beautiful, the infrastructure is modern. Egypt? even Egyptians are running away from their country to settle in the gulf countries. Anyone in their right mind would rather live in bloody modern, zero tax, zero crime rate modern desert. If you wanna stay in places in Asia, good for you. Good luck with the worse living conditions, corruption, pollution, petty crimes. It doesn't take a lot of effort to look up the average street in Bangladesh, overcrowded 15th century looking garbage place full of tangled powerline wires going everywhere with no proper care, rotting houses, humidity combined with filth, street vendors everywhere and rickshaws honking non-stop daily. Not to mention horrible healthcare system etc.
@@Mike_Hawk1, problem with the gulf countries is that they are intirely dependant on oil revenues. By 2035, we will have reached peak oil (some estimates are 2030). The gulf countries will not be able to sustain their current lifestyle and all that expensive infrastructure will start to decay. The GCC is a one trick poney I'm afraid. The vision 2030 programmes will flop and the GCC will have to adjust to weaker national income. Western tourists can't save all the GCC countries. They are all chasing the same tourists. Those tourists will change the nature of the country as they have done to the UAE
Excellent, Brother Mustafa, I'm based in North England and visited Oman various times. It's a great country. Your videos are absolutely fantastic. Please keep up the good work ! Kind regards,
For those who think the price is high, these projects are called integrated tourism projects. The owner is entitled to permanent residency for himself and his first-degree relatives. Once you obtain this type of residency, you are entitled to open a commercial register and open businesses like citizens of the country. Therefore, I do not think the price is high when you obtain all these advantages.
FYI that's a lot of % compared to UK mate. UK has 0 stamp duty tax and for properties under £425k and 0 VAT on any property regardless of price but here you are already paying 8%. + annual maintenance fees which is quite high just for a £110,000 property! Even properties above £425k , the stamp duty starts at 5%.
Ur forgetting the UK income tax and support for the rainbow and transformer gang. Paying 8% and annual maintenance fees heavily outweighs the problems in the Uk
How much is counsel tax again ? How much is your national insurance and income tax ? How high is VAT (20%) in the UK again ? How much is Home / car / health insurance again ? If you live in a flat or gated communality anywhere in the world you'll pay a maintenance fee or a service charge ! How much is capital gains tax again in the UK :) ? How much is GAS / Electric / Petrol / diesel cost again ?
UK has a big problem with skyrocketing service charges. And in most cases, in the UK, you’re paying for run down communal areas that are poorly maintained, and let’s not forget the lift that breaks down every 2 months!
Dubai and Riyadh are pretty much half the price compared to these based on listings from Bayut. But thanks for the breakdown! Insha'allah will vist each place in person to get a better feel
beautiful! ma sha Allah But a studio is on average £7,500 quarterly? of 12 payments (3,650 OMR) after paying off 10% of £111,000 (54,000 OMR) - that is not cheap at all :(
Looking well brother, mashallah. I got stung buying a property in Egypt and saw others get stung big time in Dubai and Bangladesh. So I'm very anxious about buying anything abroad
Jazakallah akhi, abit fluffly from all that amazing lamb and rice 😂 I’ve heard many stories as well akhi to be completely transparent. A lot of chameleons everywhere unfortunately. You really just have to vet the companies and cross reference to make sure everything is certified. The rest is qader of Allah.
I agree with you that the West is falling. I know that Oman and the UK have double tax treaty, but do you think it's genuinely worth me starting a private pension at my workplace? I've always got this fear in the back of my mind that when retirement age comes, I might not see that money anymore depending on the state of the West.
Salam bro. I came across your channel a few weeks ago and have been enjoying it a lot Allahumma Barik. For those of us who are struggling with getting jobs or have financial restraints etc, but want to make Hijrah, could you maybe make a video on ideas for types of businesses to start up which allow freedom to make those moves to the Gulf? I'm not sure if there are many others in the same boat but it would be cool to hear your ideas and maybe even your own journey.
@@mazharul May Allah Azza Wa Jal make things easy for you and may He Azza Wa Jal facilitate hijrah for you, me and all of us seeking it. Try to stay positive and say Alhamdulillah for the blessings you have brother, including your current job even if you don't like it because we are better off than so many Alhamdulillah. Keep making dua and making moves akhi
It is simple upper middle class home with greeny view.. I will love to live here while struggling to make money & suffering from financial difficulties.... I love it as I imagine😌🥰🥰
You are a great salesman! My only concern for the Gulf would be water resources especially if there is an influx of people in the future due to its economic prosperity. Although I have learned a little about how they are seeking to solve this issue like desalination. Hopefully their solutions are enough.
I’m in Canada right now and planning to move to Oman in the next couple of years. Your videos are very helpful and keep me interested in the country. One question: If I can’t afford to pay off the whole house in 3 years, are there longer term loan options similar to a mortgage?
I think now a days with horrible inflations going in the west countries which reached into levels that unbearable anymore, many of western residents are leaving to live in other countries and they looking into many choices one of them is the middle east countries like Dubai, Qatar, Oman ........ and because i am living in the middle east i can say Oman is the best choice compared with Dubai and Qatar because it is cheaper little bit especially buying a home or apartment, but the problem in Oman is the business is not that much because the population is very low about four and half million living in very broad country also the economy is limited it is not open like Dubai and Qatar but still the country is growing year by year but it needs at least 15 years to reach the level of Dubai and Qatar in terms of business .
Jzk bro! How would I be able to find out what parts of Oman are the best places Invest right now or best value for money ? I have a budget of £125k (ish)
While I am agree for lots of points, I do have problem with standing back again and again in Visa renewal line after every now & then, one very big missing thing for me, a man with Family including kids is feeling of belonging, in middle east this is the greater challenge, imagine if your kids are growing in a land where they have no social life, people coming and going for jobs, you have no permanent friends, also who knows what % of TAX they will charge in 5 years once more people nose dive in Oman, just like UAE had 0% taxes not a far ago now 5% maybe 15 or more in future, in the end one day your Visa expires and you have to start all again but in a different age and on a different place. It maybe a better option for citizens of Asian neighbouring countries like Pakistan, India Iran etc.
Yup, social life is number 1 factor for happiness in life, and if children do not get that they end up being very socially awkward. All these kids in these places living sheltered with AC and wealthy lives just stay at home playing video games and are out of shape/unhealthy. They wont even know how to interact with the opposite gender so will turn to porn
Great video brother! I am a UK resident looking at moving to Abu Dhabi or Somewhere in Oman at the moment considering buying an investment/ rental property so would love to know what the rental market is like in Muscat. If you have the time a video on that would be amazing, perhaps a sit down with a local agent?
Ive recently started the ball rolling and bought my first property a few weeks ago in the Gulf. Looking to do what you are doing and leave the UK. Also looking to invest in more properties over in the Gulf region and beyond. Ive been to Oman and i loved it. Still has the authentic Arabian culture. Just nit-picking but the properties you showcased in this video look to me not very modern. Dont like the wooden window/patio frames. The bathroom furnishings and finishing look very dated. Just finished watching new build property video in Thailand and the interior design for equivalent priced properties are day and night difference from the Omani ones. Thought has gone into the interior design of the properties and looks very classy and in comparison these look like 80's builds. I think Oman needs to up its game on the interior look and finishing
Your closing comments about Europe, London, etc. got me. I've been observing this change. Especially the rise of nationalism. Feel afraid to stay, and feel afraid to move into the unknown.
They are spectacular, but my brother is not factoring in the cons, prices in Gulf is already through the roof, the market is weird and developers are making up prices. Please always do your research.
Salaam alaykum! What is the time gap between booking and paying the first installment AND getting the residence visa? If I book the apartment and pay the booking money TODAY, when will I get the residence visa (After how many days/weeks/months?)
Once you fully paid the whole property, you will get the Mulkiya and Krookie( there is some fee to paid which is like 3% of property value). After that, you can apply the resident card with 1.passport 2. Letter from Muriya the developer 3.mulkiya and krookie, 4. Passport size picture. 5 omr50 for the resident card. You can go to apply it with these document in ROP near airport (the main one) I remember the officer who handle Owner resident visa is Mr.Abdulaziz. Resident card you can get it either on same day or a day after. Not taking too long. Quite easy. Actually I moved in 2 years ago and 2 month ago I just renew my resident card. Hope it helps you
Consider to move to Oman (from Germany). Hence! Your videos are an enrichment for me and my family ❤ … now here in Muscat for a month. Hopefully get as much information as possible to be able for a decision making 😂😂😂
To me, something that's worrisome about Oman is its Rial being pegged to the USD. Whatever happens to the dollar in the future is going to affect the Rial unless they remove the peg. So if the dollar gets devalued or we get more serious inflation in the US, I THINK it'll be felt in Oman. Thoughts?
I dont find the prices cheap actually i thought in oman prices would be a bit less but with these prices i cant afford it if foreigners can not take loans out there
I am Omani and these apartments are expensive. It depends on the location really. I live about half an hour from the place he is showing in a nice residential community with access to adequate services and the villa we built is 5 times bigger than those tiny apartments with half the price. Move away from Muscat and it is significantly cheaper
@@tamadheral-sabaei9241 Exactly, most of this developers are the same all over the world, they jack up the prices. It is best to meet locals to get the reality on situations. My question is, what is the job market like for foreign professionals?
I agree, the prices are expensive compared to local properties. However those properties are only revered for Omanis. Foreigners can only buy in ITC zones. (This zone being one of them) A local is able to buy 2 huge villas for £500k lol
@@pipolebnene Muscat is very diverse as there are about a million expatriates in it. So even if the area is dominated by Omanis, you will definitely find other nationalities there. We mostly have Bengalis, Indians, Pakistanis, Egyptians, Tunisians, Sudanese, Syrians and Moroccans.
We're thinking of moving abroad from the UK we were thinking of Oman to so jazakAllahu khayrun for the information and upload where is this in Oman what city or area
So they are building these brand new and take 3 years? What happens to protect the buyer should a developer go bankrupt in Oman before the property is complete?
Great video brother but as much as inlove peace and tranquility it would get boring after some time. Its good for a retreat or a resort kind of feeling brother. Make informed decisions.
Mashallah, may allah grant you the place you want in Oman. I respect your progress on showcasing life in Oman. Brother I have a question, you look very familiar did you do a job from London to Reading and had a conversation with a Qatari about the Middle East? If so man respect anytime you come to Qatar let us know. Salam Alaikum
Brother exactly why my wife and I are looking abroad and away from the west. We are US citizens and things have gone far too weird and far too costly to raise a family and stay on the path.
Although it looks promising and your thesis is correct about the west but the middle east is a desert would live with less and more greener pasture get out and about. Basically locked away indoors as its to hot. Good idea for a rental. Great video for those who want to make hijra
No country will ever be perfect. It just comes down to what compromises you are willing, and not willing to make. If greenery and nature is a non negotiable, then for sure Middle East isn’t for you. Maybe a place like Malaysia would suit you more.
Walykum Salam akhi Thank you for your support! I will try my best, just don’t want to upload mediocre content for the sake of it. Trying to prioritise the quality and importance of the content over quantity. I’m open to suggestions?
They're definitely nice but the Omani riyal is very expensive. Just converting 1 CAD to Omani riyal is 0.28 omani riyal, unless I'm mistaken. I definitely had my hopes up for a second when I heard the prices lol. I think it might be too expensive for me, wallahu alam.
@@kaz4845same, I was thinking of maybe investing with my husband, buying a 2nd home there but their currency is strong in pound. I can build a villa for the fraction of the price in my husband homecountry. But Anyone who works, lives in Oman, they will reap the benefits with having a strong oman currency
What would you do for a living there? Do you still have to have a western based online job in order to make it? Also can women that arent married by propert there?
That vanity in the Villa bathroom is actually quiet terrible. 💯 You will struggle to make wudu in that. Double bowl vanity are terrible in general but especially worse for women if they are shorter. They are next to impossible to wash your feet in if you are older, have mobility issues or have parents or older relatives visiting.
assalamu aleikum, can you share the expirience with the masjids in oman? Are there some orthodox sunni masjids or are the ibadi dominating the streets?
