My living room size is 170 sqft and ceiling height is 11ft. Its a single story building with sun rays falling only on roof. What should be the capacity of AC? 1.5ton or 2ton ? There is one passageway, which connects living room to dining room & kitchen. I am thinking to have a magnetic curtain there to sealed the room. Please suggest ac considering all these factor.

My observations exactly match with yours! I've noticed a clear difference in cooling between LG and Daikin inverters. I also have an old Panasonic fixed speed AC that chills the room very fast but guzzles power.
Sir I am also using a Daikin Ac since 2011 and its quite good after service 2ton variant by the way lots of love from Kolkata West Bengal sir sir in our state at Kolkata it's almost 41 degree and its excessive heat ❤
Happy user of Daikin since last 2 years no complaint at all, I like feature to off the LED of temperature indicator, no noise at all, silent outdoor unit
I've been using Panasonic 1.5 ton smart inverter AC for 2 years now and seriously the cooling performance is amazing. It chills the room in nearly 2-3 minutes.I never feel the need to increase the fan speed from 1 . Very much satisfied!
I've been using the Daikin AC which you tagged for about a year, and it's pretty good! The cooling capacity and air throw are through the roof!!💯 But again misses a lot of features 👀
If it cools like it's supposed to, then it's mission success my friend. The more the features, the more times you'll find technicians at your doorstep compared to the plain ones
I have used Mitsubishi Electric 1.5 & 2.0 ton and it's the best I've used till date. Cooling is very good and super silent even the outdoor unit is very silent .
Daikon is on the top notch but the problem is with useless installation guys. **** they will ruin the utilisation factor by making gas leaks intentionally.
@@Cosplayinghuman lost my genuine r32 refrigerant which came during installation. Installation guy intentionally leaked it. He again filled local refrigerant which is not effective now. Lost interest in daikin!
Ranjit Sir, You have exactly said that what I felt after buying a LG Dual Inverter AC just before a week. I did feel LG does not have better cooling mechansim but its so silent that it is practically noiseless. Plus it was value for money and it did meet my expectations. So happy with the purchase :)
Bro if you've purchased the latest model, jst turn on the viraat mode when you want to chill your room. With 10 to 15 mins, it will chill your entire room...
@@SayanKumarDas15 Yes i know and i have that feature but it is for maximum cooling. The problem is that with repeated use the condenser gets stressed and longevity of the appliance may be doubtful. Moreover, that mode consumes the highest amount of electricity.
@@theundiscoveredjourney_ Okay, then simply use the AI mode... I regulary use AI mode & that's amazing too. Once you turn on, after that jst leave the remote aside. The AC will automatically adjust everything using it's smart sensors & it's will make your room very comfortable...

Consumption - Explained very well 3. Extra feature - dust / bact removal / auto clean , good or bad etc
I've been using bluestar 1.5 ton 5 star ac for almost 5 yrs. Still it works very fine but the problem is that indoor unit is bit noisy even if its fan is set to low. Otherwise it's a great ac.
I think for fast cooling and slience you should check high ISEER (5.2 or above). Our Daikin and Mithsubishi is good enough. Even at top floor with extreme heat, we need 26°C in Daikin for 150 sq ft room! Both has fresh air( no smell of mechanical products or other). Both machines also remain cool at that temp, even outdoor unit also silent and cool at night. Pls avoid any hunky punky features to divert customers mind. As a middle-class family Indians need cooling, enegry saving and silence, that's it!
@@bhargavvasamsetti9782Technically it means more efficient cooling so assuming two ACs with same power consumption one with higher ISEER will cool faster
@@bhargavvasamsetti9782 as I said if you know how to read two acs with same power consumption the one with higher iseer rating will give better cooling due to better power efficiency. Don't you understand basic physics?
thank you for the amazing guide, I think we will go with Daikin AC, some of my friends have it and it seems to be good! My experience with LG AC's: We had got 2 LG 1.5T split AC's (3 star) 15 years back. we live in Ahmedabad, so during summers, our AC's are on for quite a while. Other than the regular maintenance, we have never faced any issues. Both of the AC's had their compressor unit changed once (if I remember currently) but considering the AC's have been used for 10-12 hrs on a daily average during the summers, it's not a big deal.
I had purchased Daikin after facing the same problem as you told with LG. I had a 1.5 Ton LG in my bedroom, and it took 3 hours to bring it to a comfortable temperature. i used to switch it on in advance to cool the room. Now I replaced it with a 1 Ton Daikin and I can't keep it on the whole night at 25 even.
Sending this video blindly to my dad coz I know geeky Ranjit won't take money and promote brands in a biased way! . See this is the trust he has earned from us.
Hello everyone, am using diakin 1.5 ton from past 7 years and must say it the best AC in market.. no gimmics and faltu features... Just cooling and cooling...I lived in Uttar Pradesh and here temperature is 42-45 degree... Final Verdict - Go blindly with Diakin without any hesitation it has bigger air blower and powerful cooling... Thanks..
Jai, I'm curious about the AC. And I would love to ask you about your experience with it. 1) is it 1.5ton or 2ton 2) what was the size of the room 3) was there any issues with it 4) how much was the monthly billing in the summer? I would love hear it from you. ❤
Agree on the LG AC cooling capacity part. I got a 3 star AC last year and felt the cooling to be average. I often keep temperature 2-3 degrees lower to get the cooling effect. Initially I thought something is wrong with my ac and even got it checked. But perhaps as you say, their cooling is behind the competition. My usage is limited to summers, and barely 1-2 hours per day. So I can live with it given the silent operation. Also, LG service is great in my city.
its totally ur misconception bro.. good cooling means not overcooling or more cooling.. good cooling meant accurate cooling which lg gives, other side all japanese brands over cool the room, thats y people thinks they are good.. but actually its not.. i am using lg inverter ac from last 7 years, and till now i dont see this types of accurate cooling.. and inever use my ac lower than 26dgree, i alwys use my lg ac at 27 dgree at day time and 28 dgree in night time.. my daily running is 12-15 hours.
@@bongobarta1908 when you are continuously running the ac, the cooling seems sufficient. But if you switch it for some time and turn it off, that is when the cooling difference is apparent. As I said, my usage is very low so I'm okay with it. But keeping my ac at 24 degrees for over 20-30 minutes does not make my 130 sqft room chilly. Also, I think LG's cooling capacity has suffered since they moved to that dual inverter technology. Which is why your ac may not suffer from it.
@@m_priyankushdutta5953 4600w is nominal capacity.. actual capacity dosent reduce.. one of my friend buy lg 1.5 ton 5star ac, and there is nooo cooling issue or slow cooling.. his room is 160 sqft.. even he dont use powerful mode(virat mode). LG is the pioneer of inverter technology.. they are not fool.. they just reducesd nominal cooling that after ac react at set temp, the ac can run at lesser energy and capacity.

Recently I bought my LG 1.5ton 5star. I am very happy with its performance. If your room size is small go for it. Very minimal sound no one can beat LG regarding sound and also cooling is very good. Till now I have not faced any problems.
Exactly ! We have 3 rooms in our house & my father installed 3 ac's (all Panasonic inverter AC , non smart ones) for each room & yes ! PANASONIC has the loudest & most annoying noise. Sounds very loud & disturbing 🥲🥲🥲🥲 But yes ! the best vfm ac brand is Panasonic (we brought one 1 ton & 2 1.5 ton Panasonic ACs) . Also brought a 40 inch FHD Panasonic Android LED TV on 25/3/2023 at 31000rs. & we are 100% satisfied ♥️ (ya UI lags a bit but base performance is excellent. Picture quality , sharpness, dynamic range , etc , sound! everything is well balanced)
We have a LG 1 ton 4 star AC.. it is a sweet balance between 3 stars and 5 stars.. it is super quiet and my bedroom is not so big.. 12*14. I live in Ballari, Karnataka where temperatures right now are at around 41-42 everyday.. still the cooling is very good i didn't notice any issues.. but what I love the most is power bills have not gone up much. We installed 3 AC's about 1 year ago (approx 30k each including installation from reliance digital). When we use low power consumption mode. I.e. the AC works at 80% , 60% or 40% of it's original capacity.. after the room is fairly cooled, i switch to 40% overnight.. even then the bills are around 600-700rs more when compared to winter (while using all three ACs)
You are using only one 1 ton AC in the bedroom of 12*14 right? My bedroom is 13.5*11 and was looking to buy 1 ton AC but retailers and youtubers suggested 1.5 ton. Hence, the question.
@@gentle_joffrey4428 1 ton might take a few minutes extra to cool and the compressor would have to work a bit harder. If you are using it only for a few hours in summer and you stay in a place which isn't too hot. Then you can go with 1 ton. But yes. If you go for 1.5 ton, In the long run you'll save some money if you are okay with the upfront investment... Just see how much is the price difference between them.

We have a Mitsubishi Jetflow 0.8 ton unit, which is surprisingly quiet and cools the space better than the 1.5 ton unit we previously had. The only drawback is that Mitsus are little pricey because they are imported, however a 0.8 tonne does more cooling than a 1.5 Indian/Korean brand.
I have used LG for the last 20 years, both window and split. The best part about them is the service. I asked their customer care what is covered under AMC or extended warranty. The exec. put it in simple words - What you get under standard warranty is what you get under extended also. I have never worried about service from LG ever. I stay in a place with corrosive air, and the worst product i ever purchased was a Carrier AC. The way it rusts and breaks down is shocking. And their AMC covers nothing. My entire neighbourhood stays away from Carrier AC's. Just for everyone's knowledge, gas recharge is useless without fixing holes in the evaporator coils. It is a sealed system and if your service center says free recharge of gas, he is fooling you. In case of LG, they replace the evaporator coil every year under warranty, since that is how long the coils last in my area till it springs a leak. They can of course repair it, but it will leak elsewhere also. So it is better to replace the entire coil. Also, to all consumers out there, question the manufacturers who do fluff marketing about their coils being of copper - what is the guage of copper used?. You will not get a single reply.
Panasonic is the best ! 1 ton is enough for fair usage and its a beast. Like u said panasonic is loud but cools rapidly. No gimmicks only performance. Simple its 'Japanese' that enough to explain !!!
As a person living in a tropical & humid city like Chennai + working from home + have tried Daikin, Panasonic, LG, Hitachi, Carrier. I can close my eyes and say that Mitubhishi Electric is the best AC which works like a charm 24x7, 365 days with low maintanance, least problems & fantastic cooling capacity with lower electricity consumption. My 1 ton GRT model 5 ISEER Mitsubhisi is running right now at 27 degrees and i feel its cold while its 34 degrees outside. :D

As per your opinion I totally agree. I have purchased a penasonic 1.5 ton 5 star AC. Cooling is very good, noise is small but electricity consumption is very low as i expected.
I have a Panasonic 1.5 and Daikin 1.0. Panasonic cools the room in just 2-3 minutes but it’s a little loud. While Daikin takes good 10 minutes to cool the room but it’s whisper silent. I don’t know if it’s on or not.
I have been using Godrej 3 star since last 1 year which I bought it for 30k. Surprisingly AC is working very well. Cooling is top notch. It can cool down your room within 5 mins. I didn’t expect this from Godrej.
Hi Ranjit .In India Cruise acs are the best . They have their factory in Daman ..No ac can be compared to their units performance..vfm...after sales service..they also export these acs made in india to other countries
I bought Panasonic 1.5t ac in 2022 and lg 1.5t in 2023 but in comparison the cooling of Panasonic is more quick and better as Panasonic ac was fitted in big room size as compared to lg ac .
I have installed two panasonic AC in my home. Trust me it's cooling capacity is beyond expectations. We never run the ac below 26 degree C. And a 1.5 ton AC cools the 140 sq feet room in just 3 to 4 min.
I have Mitsubhisi Electric. I wanted a AC with least possible Fan Noise (Personal Preference) but Mitsubhisi is very costly. Looking at your reviews - LG was least sound producing AC in your set of ACs, I got installed LG Dual Inverter. I am happy with its performance. Sound level compared to Mitsubhisi is higher (35-50 db at lowest fan speed). Mitsubhisi still stands the most silent AC (10-20db Noise - as captured by noise meter at lowest fan speed) in my experience. Previously used Lyod, Samsung.
I have LG the service is great just one call and they come by but the ac itself is quite below average in terms of cooling Hence going with panasonic .

It would be extremely helpful if you just took the temperature of the air coming out of the ACs at different temperature settings during the same time of day to determine how effective the compressors are. Otherwise there are too many variables with size of room, time of day, and other heat sources that may affect how cool the room actually gets.
Hi Ranjit sir... I feel you should check Samsung AC and It's Windfree technology which is very useful in 3 ways- 1. Avoiding Cold draft to enhance human comfort 2. Low noise @15db in windfree mode 3. I see there are mixed views about panasonic and daikin ac's. From what I see, an AC's performance and durability over long time depends on how well it is installed. And in India, most technicians just doesn't install by how it's instructed in the user manual. They don't even vacuum the machine, resulting in poor performance and compressor poor pumping. Whichever ac you buy, make sure it is installed properly by the good standards, otherwise no matter how heavy duty the machine is, it will provide poor cooling and early failures.
I’ve been using the daikin AC for more than a year now , I’m using 3 star 2 ton version as my bedroom are quite big , I’m happily saying the cooling is just good if you compare to LG and which I had earlier but the main prob is the fan noise as mentioned in the video , if fan speed is full literally it’s gonna be annoying at night couz you could hear it clearly, other than that their performance is great ❤
