Not entirely related, but I did get a Screamers record recently! A very cool new pressing of their work as one of the first electronic punk bands-especially as they never really had any vinyls released when they were active!

I recently bought Yume by Helios on vinyl. There are only a few hundred that have been pressed and I managed to find one on ebay for a great price.

Boomkat is not a record label. The record was pressed by History Always Favors The Winners, which is actually a label run by Leyland himself. Boomkat is merely a selling place for upcoming pressings, like a digital record store.

As an owner of EATEOT and AEBBTW on vinyl, these all feel so nice to have and spin!! Was a lot to pay even tho it was on boomkat, but it was definitely worth it!! Hoping to get more Kirby releases soon!

Power Electronic releases are especially insane on discogs. People will buy 10 copies of a release limited to 500, they’ll sell out then people will resell them for like 5 times the original price

@PsychicAndice when you say Power Electronics, I assume you’re referring to bands like Whitehouse, Merzbow, Schloss Tegal, etc? I’m not testing you or trying to put you on the spot, I’m new to this RU-vid channel and glad to see another noise fan posting in the comments.

@@russell_szabados yes, that’s what I am referring too. It’s a very niche sub genre within Noise/Industrial music. But it has the worst market for collecting records

I have AEBBTW, and one time I saw “sadly, the future is no longer what it was” on vinyl at a record store. Didn’t pick it up and now I’m kicking myself.

i have the CD version of Stages 4 - 6; i actually contacted him on Reddit to ask if Stages 1 - 3 or An Empty Bliss will ever be re-released on CD and he said “One day, it has complicated packaging so it takes time and planning.” i was just so shocked that i got a response that i just said “Thank you.”

forgot to update! i managed to get a CD copy of “the death of rave” in feb 2023, and *finally* got to own stages 1 - 3 when it was restocked back in nov. 2023 i’m only now realizing it’s been almost three years since i started listening to kirby’s work.. so happy to own them :D

Not only is the visual presentation of the AEBBTW release super cool, the sound quality of the pressing is phenominal. The sound has tons of depth and is super dynamic. I've picked up a few albums on vinyl that dissapointed me a bit when they sounded muddy or dry, but I'm glad that wasn't the case for this release.

Could you make a video about extreme noise music that is also black metal? Do you have any recommendations? I never get satisfied with any music i find i never stick to it and honestly i dont enjoy clean noise music. Also i would like you to find the most depressive/saddest music genre. Maybe make a video. I am listeming to dsbm and black metal but i cant realy find something emotional enough for me. In my opinion black metal is the best genre.

For Kirby et al, it's been all CD for physicals: Sadly, the future is no longer what it was, EATEOT (1-3), EATEOT (4-6), Take care [managed to get it through Boomkat when I first heard about it], Watching Dead Empires in Decay. Anything else I have is in the digital domain.

Not really a fan of Caretaker myself but im glad this style become part of world art and its still attractive and welcome for new listeners ) Me got recently F500 classics: Cybereality - Neonites first time on vinyl. 1 i'll always want, but will never get unless it receives another reprint (which it might given how iconic it is), is Jane doe by Converge. One of the best albums of all time, but it hasn't been reprinted in a while so I'm not sure if we will see one again any time soon. But I sure hope

given that i don't have a way to listen to vinyl i've been something of a cassette collector this last year, and the one i cannot find for the life of me is Flip Phone Fantasy by Ocean Grove. it's like...australian skater punk/nu metal with some real spicy electro in there and it's one of my favorite albums of the last couple years and i just wanna HOLD IT

album i want the most is a vinyl release of AL-90's CODE-915913, or at the very least a tape or cd reissue. that album means a lot to me and set a precedent for outsider house that few have managed to live up to
