Those Spider-Man from the early 80s are pretty solid books. I remember picking them up at my local UtoteM when I was a kid. Amazing Spider-Man #248 at 18:08 features "The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man" which is a classic and very moving story. Good stuff there.

That's a deal on all those comics.I been collecting for over 15 years now and only have 5 short boxes full of keys,low print runs,rare variants and cool covers and only a handful left to complete my collection but getting TMNT#1,Primer#2, X-Men #1 1963, Amazing Fantasy #15 and Batman#1 1940 isn't gonna be easy.

You can sell early mid 80’s ASM’s for 5-10 all day long and people will grab them.

Wow, I am assuming you got close to 10,000 comics. This haul is perfect for you because clearly you are in the comic selling business. I think you will make back your money quickly. I am so out of the loop when it comes to cards! I see some of the asking prices and I say to myself no way!! Lol. I rather use that money for Golden Age comics but they again there’s something for everyone in the collectibles world! 😁

That looks like a nice buy. They mostly seem to be in new bag/boards, and in good condition. Also, having runs of comics means you can see them in lots instead of individual books which I'm sure has to be way better for Ebay listings, right?

sight unseen I think i'd have been more like 20c per book on that collection, personally, but after seeing you flip through a bit, you probably did just fine - if the spider-gwens and birds of prey are any indication, there is some 4-5$ desirable books too and if you can pull sets together of that stuff, you're def golden!

In the 1980s we went to several sports cards and comic shows...seemed to be more commeon then to have together. Interesting how much non sports cards collecting has increased. 40-50 cents @ for comics bagged probably good for your operations by the time pull out keys

Man I remember back in the day collecting Marvel Masterpiece, and Tops Baseball cards. It all seems interesting still, but idk if it’s something I would collect again. Think I’ll just stick with comics for now lol. Interesting though!!👍🏽

Most modern books are sold to collectors who simply like the stories, not dealers hoping to 'flip' them for profit.

It takes a long time if done correctly but having a lot of Knowledge on key issues & Variants is a huge help. If you try and do research on every book it will take forever. Locate the most valuable books first and work your way down.
