I test 4 cheap PlayStation 4 controllers. Are they any good?
Decided to GIVEAWAY one of these controllers since this video is getting some traction. Will be giving away for FREE and ship to you in the United States.

13:33 That 3rd controller was amazing but after about a year the X button started sticking randomly. 2 days after that it was unplayable. Roughly 1300 hours of game time.

I'm not a big console gamer but I use my ps4 as a media device and broke my controller last week. I really like your style of review, I liked and subbed even though I probably won't have a use for other videos but I will try to watch them to support the channel.

The only problem with 3rd party controllers is firmware updates render a lot of these controllers useless.

I love how the 1st one has an indent for the Playstation serial number but they couldn't even be bothered to put anything in its place lol thanks for the review! I wish I could still get that second one on Amazon; rare you get a free product in exchange for recommending one that's actually good. :)

Ngl I used the controller you showed in the video which came in with that blue box and I played fortnite and it felt weird because every time I Aimed it felt pretty fast and whenever I move the joystick a little it goes flying while aiming

You just missed a small detail going over the controllers, all of the controllers BUT the black and red one that was wireless, were lacking the audio jack at the bottom of the controller, which I use for my headphones/mic. Good content otherwise, very useful info, liked and subbed!

I bought #3 because I went through 2 dual shocks in 4 months due to stick drift and was tired of spending $65 for new ones. For $17.99 it was a great purchase. Works great

I just bought two of the wireless controllers and I can't complain at all. Headphone jack works and they also work on my charging dock. 20 bucks each you can't go wrong. Looks like a ps4 dual shock controller and plays like one. Love my purchase bro and thanks for the video review.

The wireless version of the last controller freezes and you have to wait in until it’s dead but the only way I think you fix it when your not using you will have to keep turning off your controller

i have same one as 3rd but it is wireless and you can use headphones and it has long battery life,nice replace controller and i was not expecting it to be that good. i have it for about 1 year and still works.

If you're comfortable with disassembling controllers and replacing parts in them, you're better off buying a used Dualshock 4 that just needs new analog thumb sticks. You can buy a used (meaning probably drifting) dualshock for cheaper than a knockoff.

Get a $35 hot air soldering station, some soldering wire $4, soldering wick $4, and a pack of 6 PS4 joysticks replacements $8. And RU-vid how to solder a new joystick. Since it’s just the left joystick that mainly screws up. You have 6 spare replacements. Which beats having to buy 6 new controllers. Initial cost is highish, but in the long run, with the joysticks replacements being so cheap, you’ll save more money.

For cheap controllers go wired ,the wireless ones have low quality batteries and last very little !!! Buy the giotex vx1 wired controller costs 20 bucks and with 30 go for the nacon compact ! At least they last long time and have decent build quality!

I have the 3rd one it's not bad yet you want something a lil more sturdy and precise for fps/shooters. It works ok for most games but the touch pad only presses/depresses you can't use the pad for touch sensitivity for like messages and the like. But I use it as much as I can. No mic jack plugin at the bottom (I have an old turtle beach USB headset so I'm good there)

I bought a knockoff ps4 a couple months back. It was working fine with no issues until it stopped connecting. Now everytime I push on the power button, it will just flash green. I tried to reset it but nothing seems to work.

I bought a brand new Sony, it tacks low left constantly so when you play you have to compensate at all times. I bought another Sony... lasted one day. Turned off, can’t get it to turn in. Remotes suck

most rip offs are built to last for 5 hours until drift and unresponsive buttons. just buy a real controller or if your on a buget by from a trusted company, and treat them with care.

Negative. Sony has patents on their technology. It’s just other engineers designing their own solution for a controller. And packaging that solution into whatever shell may be the easiest/most recognizable to customers. The parts may be interchangeable with good enough soldering and engineering skills of your own but I highly doubt you wouldn’t need to redesign some internals as the knock off most likely packaged their older, cheaper (aka most likely larger) parts differently inside

Very late to this, but don't purchase the 3rd controller in the vid! I have purchased 3 of them, the first lasted a month before the analogue sticks began to play up, and I purchased 2 more thinking the first was just a one off, but the others lasted about the same length of time
