Hi everyone and welcome back to my comment. If you just tuned in to my comment; I 'm a London Watch Collector viewer, a LWC enthusiast, I'm basically addicted to LWC. At this point, seeing a notification that LWC uploaded a video, my serotonin kicks in! haha
Beautiful watch. I really appreciate that you share your watches with us. Presumably most viewers won't be able to afford many of the watches you showcase, but we get to have the same excitement and fun you have when you give us the unboxing.
I work at Harrods,I'm so upset with them due to all staff reduction they did recently (more than 700 people without job) However I'm gonna use my staff discount to buy a IWC pilot chronograph before they kick us out
Herbert Dönermaier Oriol might not be thinking about the losing money on that watch. He may well be buying that watch without the intention of selling it. If he likes the brand, don’t hate on him for it. It’s his money and he has worked for it, so let him do with it as he pleases. Take your negative energy somewhere else, okay? This isn’t what the watch community is about.
@@herbertdonermaier7459 rofl buying a watch should not be justified by the resale value. Unfortunetly, this has become a growing trend and more people are buying watches based on their resale value and as potential investments. It seems that something that was once a luxury experience and enjoyment for people with deeper pockets has become overflooded with poor suckers, flippers, criminals etc. Which is the direct result of the ridicilous grey market prices and poor availability of some watches we face today. As a result of that we are seeing more and more fakes and homages of these watches which is a sad trend as well. There is no longer an enjoyment in collecting luxury watches and keeping up with the latest trends.
That leather strap looks amazing it enhances the personality of the watch rather than just another steel sports watch and it makes the blue dial pop, best combo.
I sold my Harrods quickly- it felt too big and before I had a chance to really warm to it, I got offered 30% over what I had just paid which made it a no brainier. Luckily I was able to get a bb58 blue a month later and I’m so glad I did- absolutely love it
These videos have become the staple of my Saturday mornings. Love the BB58 Blue and you’re right a watch collectors collection would not be complete without a BB58 whether it be blue or black. I too had the chance of buying it on release and bought it straight away because it just felt so comfortable and unassuming. I love the blue dial and bought the steel bracelet version. Love the story about your brother “borrowing” your Tudor Harrods. I might try the same when I go to see my brother next 😊
I come back from my run, shower, make my coffee and toast. I then sit down and watch the new videos. I love it! Nice to get an anonymous content creator, doesn't flex or show off but just loves watches.
The BB58 is a nice little watch - at its price-point it is probably the best watch on the market, in fact. But I am increasingly bothered by the apparent marketing strategy of Rolex and Tudor - I mean this whole thing about slightly restricting the supply of certain models so that people crave them and feel they are somehow getting something "rare". When all is said and done, these are mass-produced products! Sure, they are extremely well-engineered and made to a super-high quality control standards. But still, they are factory mass-produced products! This is something that came home to me when I bought a Blancpain Fifty-Fathoms special edition last year. Looking through the display case-back with a magnifier you realise that it's actually a whole different and higher level of hand-crafted and hand-finished watch-making. More recently I got my first Patek Philippe (I got a good deal on a pre-owned 5296G in white gold with sector dial) and that takes things up to an even higher level still. Of course there is a place for brands like Tudor. It is a great watch to wear when travelling, for example, or if doing some kinds of physical activities. But the idea that this is "rare" or "hot", or that you have to wait months or years to get it - or instead pay above retail price...don’t be suckered by this, guys, it is madness!
The watch is really nice. However how nice the watch is, from where I am, I have yet to see a nice AD. Because the sales guys in Rolex are just pretentious and they have an unwelcoming attitude.
I loved the BB58 blue, as well as the leather strap and the size that fits my wrist perfectly. The price is also very reasonable. Greetings from a fan of your channel, directly from RJ, Brazil
I was offered this exact same version at my AD. I showed up with my original BB58 and IMO I could not justify having both just because of the different color. It did not jump to me but it it would be a different story if I didn’t have the black version. Congrats and enjoy!
Congratulations on getting this very nice watch! I'd get it on the bracelet because it looks best suited. The strap admittedly does look nice as well. It's an ideal summer watch on the strap!
Thanks for the review! I just received a call from my AD that this exact model is available for me and now await its arrival in the mail. This just made me more excited to get it!
That’s awesome, we actually have the same watch. I just picked it up from my AD a week ago, and received the steel bracelet. Originally requested the fabric nato style strap, but I don’t regret getting the bracelet, it’s pretty comfortable and is actually a slightly different color compared to the black 58 bracelet.
It's a lovely watch. I remember trying on the 41mm Black Bay Blue last year. Loved it except for its black dial. I wanted it to come all blue. And now they've launched one but in the preferred size of watch. Very nice on leather indeed.
01:00 I like your Brothers style of collecting watches 😂, what is he going to take on the next visit. I love this watch and thankfully so does my wife as she watched this video with me. Perfect summer watch with jeans or shorts. The price point is spot on though and I will be buying this. Also noticed at 09:00 that you wear your watch on the same place as I do on the wrist. I have noticed a lot of guys wearing it further forward towards their hand 🤔 Great video once again, Coffee, Croissants and LWC (a Saturday ritual) 👏
@@LondonWatchCollector Update. Firstly I hope you are well. Secondly I bought the BB58 (black dial) two days ago. Amazed with the quality for such a reasonable price. Keeps better time than any Rolex (so far). Blown away by it to be honest. Stay safe
Great video yet again! Back at work full time now so I get your notifications at about 7 but can't watch them until 2PM, that is 7hours remembering to not swipe away your notification. Great video again, my first Tudor was the Black Bay Pepsi GMT, it was the only watch I wore the last time I went away, and right now I should have been lagoon side wearing a polar dial Explorer II 😊, the beauty of British quarantine.
Perfect summer watch. I have a feeling the newly acquired 214270 will be joining the skeletonized AP in the deep corners of the bank safe 😉, after a brief moment of fame on the channel.
Nice addition to your collection. I own the original BB58 since february and still in the honey moon. The watch runs very accurately (+1 seg/day) and the size is almost perfect (specially for my tiny wrists). The only weakness, at least for me, is the bracelet (and not because of the rivets, since you not even notice them), more precisely the fitting of the folding clasp (is too long and makes difficult to perfectly adjust to my wrist). I have shifted the strap to a Hirsch natural rubber one and the watch changes completely. I guess that the other Tudor you bought is the Pelagos, but, we will see next week. Best regards from the Basque Country
@@MPD90 Hi Mike, my wrist is around 16 cm. Actually not a big issue, indeed I currently use the watch in the bracelet on a daily basis with no problem. The thing is that the fitting is not perfect: in my case, due to the size of my wrist and the length of the folding clasp, the side of the clasp is wider than the side of the watch. I guess that for bigger wrists this won't happen. Besides that, an awesome watch. Congratulations for your purchase and wear it in good health.
Lovely watch ,I definitely prefer the Blue 58 over the black . I can’t stop wearing mine . Although the bracket has rivets they are inconspicuous and totally unobtrusive when wearing this watch. The leather strap and color you purchased are a perfect match but you will not regret buying and wearing the bracket
LWC: Either you love your brother very much if he is your little brother, or you have a big respect for him if he is your big brother; but either way it is nice and it is noble of you.
Love the watch, I personally prefer it over the original black bay like you said the size is perfect. Also I like this blue one more than the black 58 but I guess its all personal preference. Excited now to see which other Tudor watch you brought! Keep up the good work its much appreciated.
Hi LWC, I just got home from work and I finished off your "PP Nautilus 5712/1A-001 Unboxing" video (great video btw) and now I'm watching this one. What a great way to finish off a dreary day. Today would have been my mom's 74th Bday. We lost her 2+ years ago. Anyways, thanks so much for keeping my spirits up. Stay healthy and stay safe.
@@LondonWatchCollector Thank you, sorry for being too personal there. The point I was trying to make was, you do wonderful work here. It brightens up my day, and others too. It truly does. Keep up the good videos, and thank you
Good Morning my friend. Thank you for this video. I already tried it on at the AD. Reminded me if the old 79190, which i loved. All at a fair price. Have a fantastic weekend 😊👍
Wonderful review! I have a black BB58 with the steel bracelet and absolutely love it! The blue BB58 is absolutely gorgeous and I plan on getting that next to be used for casual occasions. Cheers!
I have a feeling that other Tudor is the P01! I own the Black Bay 70230R but I prefer the 58. I love how it looks with that leather bracelet. Congrats Mr. London!
I always get to this video back to hear how the clasp closes. 😃 It sounds so good to my ears. 🤦🏽♂️😃 I hope it as sefe as it sounds. I’m on the waiting list as well. Can’t wait the time to see and put it on my wrist first ever. 😃
Great buy! Happy for you ! As usual , a very soothing voice to hear with incredible video footage to suit 👌 Perfect for wind down viewing! Big fan of your channel ! 🙏👌👍
I am a fan (owner) of the black Bay 58 blue. My wrist size doesn't lend well to the bracelet, as it is always either too loose or too tight. The bracelet lacks micro adjustment points with only 3 holes in the clasp. I will go for the strap.
Hi LWC, great video. I've just come back from Tudor AD having put down a deposit on the Blue / Steel strap vsn. The Watch Gods were smiling on me this week. I tried on the blue strap as you have but just did not like how it sat on my wrist. What I think would be brilliant is a good quality tan/cognac colour leather strap ( Tudor does them) with that clasp - Now we're talking........ My Harrods Tudor - still on the waiting list for that one!
Thx for the review mate. Your videos have a ot of detail and clarity. Appreciate your knowledge. Would really appreciate your advice. The black bay bronze or the 58 blue.
The more I see this watch, the more I am thinking of picking one up. I need a casual travel watch that isn't branded Rolex for safety. Unsure if I should go for the new BB blue or the BB Bronze. Another fantastic video LWC!
Finally!!! The one thing I look forward to during this quarantine Saturdays. That Instagram tease just made me even more eager. Congrats man. Great watch
I love the Tudor BB 58. I have the black version with the bracelet and prefer it over the regular Black Bay. Love it so much....wear it everyday. Beautiful watch. Next Tudor is the GMT.
Can't wait to see a Harrods and/or a bronze blackbay 58. I'll make sure to go back to London and buy it from James (at Harrods), coolest watch guy I've ever met. Cheers from Texas!
Tudor offers quality at an attractive price, and I think that you have chosen a very beautiful non bling understated piece. I hope that you enjoy it Sir 👍 Tam.
Tag, Omega, Nomis and other brands produce watches at a similar quality to Tudor. The main difference with Tudor is that they make screw down crown sports watches and their style is unique.
The leather strap is amazing.... so much better than the faux rivet bracelet. Gives it some character and if you have a Submariner in rotation makes it a way different vibe.
Went today to buy a Seamaster, saw that Black Bay Blue, couldnt take it off ... bought it on the spot ... actually wearing it makes this video even better :D
Great video and amazing production quality as usual! This begs the question....with new Rolex references releasing 09-01, do you think that we'll see Tudor ceramic bezels soon?
It’s very nice, but I still prefer the original black gilt dial version with that evocative red triangle below the lume pearl on the bezel. I would also like to see Tudor adopt a ceramic rather than aluminum bezel insert too. But in a matte finish to differentiate it from the glossy inserts used by Rolex.
The whole point of this watch is that it is a homage to the 1958 version and therefore modern ceramic material on the bezel would totally ruin the vintage look.
I have the 58 black and gold with SS bracelet on order and preferred it to the blue. This blue leather strap looks amazing and makes the watch look totally different. Im tempted to order the blue aswel now.
LWC is the perfect reviewer.... especially for someone like me that is so OCD about watches. Two prime examples...... the shot with the white Tudor outer box and the Harrods bag behind..... if you look. It’s perfectly centred in the shot..... perfectly. And then when he weighs it..... a little cloth under it to prevent any scratches!!!! Love it....... congrats on the addition to the amazing Collection
Just bought this version and delighted that the strap is water resistant. I have the bracelet on order as well. I don’t think there is any leather in the strap!
While I am a strong fan of the metal bracelet, particularly on the Rolex and Tudor lines, I’m in love with this Tudor leather strap. In fact I have never seen this before, only the metal bracelets. Thanks for the information...
I might be a little ocd, but the bezel (like the one Adrian at Bark and Jack recently reviewed) isn't aligned properly, the arrow of the 12 lume pip isn't central to the 12 marker.🤔
Hello! Great video! I was confused between black and blue and after watchig your video ill go for the blue. (P.s. its my first expensive watch and id buy both black and blue if i could)
Do you think this will be a keeper in the collection or will you sell it on in a few months? I'm curious to find out as it wasn't a planned purchase for you.
I wasn’t particularly interested in this release until I saw it on your wrist. Amazing what that can do compared to a sterile, catalogue picture. I love it on the leather strap and don’t think I’d change it personally. Might see if my local AD has one tomorrow!
Nice to have a Brother like you come and visit and take your watch lol!!! 😄 bless. Got an appointment with my AD next week like to see what this looks like in person . Does look very nice and casual that buckle looks so cool on that strap, i think its just that its new that's why your struggling to adjust it , I'm sure it will loosen up as you wear it great review got me guessing what the other Tudor watch is ? Great review and enjoy the weekend 🙂
Another wonderful video, I look forward to your videos with a coffee on Saturday mornings, beautiful watch, congratulations once again, the Blackbay 58 is a beautiful watch, I love the slim case if the Harrods edition was a 58 it would be stunning! I just find the case on the existing Harrods too chunky.
I order mine for the bracelet But thinking about doing the same as you Get the leather one and add bracelet if necessary Do you think we could buy the bracelet afterwards?
Lovely watch! I picked up my own but on bracelet last week. I love the smaller form factor, since I am female/smaller wrists. It's also my first Tudor and won't be my last. =) Wear it in good health!
I have the black BB58 and in my opinion it is a nicer looking watch than this blue version. The gold tones and red pip just add such a soft classy warm tone to watch .. with that said I like this blue version all though it looks kind of plain I have become a fan of Tudor and there is always a need for a blue trim watch in a collection and this one can fit the bill.
