Thank you for this video! Very helpful as I am shopping around currently. It was also refreshing to see a woman giving advice on this topic as when I searched it was mostly men. I feel like that makes a difference going into the dealership.

What is your opinion on leasing vs buying a car? Do you mind also making a video on building credit and how much/ when to pay your credit card off?

I don't know everything about leasing a car. To me it comes down to borrowing (leasing) vs owning (buying). I wanted to own my car because of the freedom you have to do whatever you want with it, drive as many miles as you like, etc. You are the boss when you own a car. With leasing there are rules and regulations but it seems like its a good fit for someone who appreciates driving new cars and doesnt care to own. & yes i can make a video on that :)

Do you guys give a certain limit for first time car buyers? I want a 45k loan for a van but im a first time buyer. I have a 734 credit score, make 4k a month and can put down up to 18k at signing via wire transfer. If I have to prove my income, that will be a problem since I'm relatively new to working

I’m 20 years old I just started saving in July. My goal is 500 a paycheck so far so good. I want to put at least 5,000 down

@@Keyouklutch I bought a 2016 Chevy Malibu fully loaded about a month ago. I financed through my bank. I easy got accepted because I been on my job for 2 years and been working on my credit using my credit card.

Hey how are you? I am so glad I found this video! I am 19 I haven't had my first car yet..sucks lol! However, I am trying to build my credit up. My grandma told me about the bank buying your car but you have to have good credit. My credit score isn't bad but I want it to be higher. The interest rate is based on your credit correct? What would a good score be to have a low interest rate? Last question, sorry girl lol but if how much can interest rate be?

Finally a Nurse and someone who can give me an advice for my first (future car). I'll become a Nursing student soon so this was helpful! I also have seizures too (medicated and controlled), do you know anyone and have any advice on devices that can help autopilot/semi-auto pilot a vehicle should an episode happen on my end? It would be most helpful if you could help me out Ma' am since I have clinical placements outside the city of Adelaide, South Australia. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😪

I worked at State Farm. We don't ask for the color of your vehicle. The red car/black car affecting your insurance is not true. 👍

Depends on if you want to make monthly payments. You could put 60% down and if you have an income rolling in to afford it then yes you could.

I always figured with buying a new car what is the big deal with it dropping in value. I'm not returning it. And if it has the ability to drop on value that quickly, that means there is some room to talk down the price a bit. I want something nobody else has used. I feel like I am willing to risk it dropping it in value when I drive away with it. Lol.

Eternal style depends on how many months you want to pay and interest rate. A good interest would be around 4.0

Andres Peralta They are talking about the down payment, which is how much money you’re willing to “put down” initially, and then a loan of some sort is required to finance the remainder of the car payment. For example, I’m going to put down $5,000 of my own money on a car that costs $15,000 altogether and I will get a loan from the bank to cover the rest.

You'll save on insurance depending on the model

Yes. Buy used. Your insurance will be lower and it’ll be so much cheaper

Helpful tips! I'm looking to buy a 2018 Lexus Is300 F-Sport next year! But a used one under 8000 Miles as it's between $8000-$15000 Less from MSRP from new. I don't have any debt from attaining my degree and have a good income but no Credit. So I'll be building and saving for a 35%-45% down payment through next year and start looking between The end of the year for a car purchase.

Will see what happens but I have the data in my hands all ready when I head to a dealership. Best of luck to you as well(:

try to put down anywhere from 30 to 40 percent. I would recommend doing that instead of the typical 10% itll save you money in the long run!

I didn't have ANY credit and the dealership wouldn't lend to me. I went to two different credit unions and one agreed to loan me 15K for the car as long as I had downpayment (which i did have saved up). GL

Thank you for making this video! I have to buy a car now after my car was crashed into while it was parked. This will be the first time that I'm buying my own car since the previous one was handed down by my dad. I would like to have as much information as I can get so that I can be better prepared to buy a car. The tips here are helpful.
