I mean he grows later and become an acceptable MC but to be honest I can't see him with no one else other than Chizuru cause: 1) Destiny (Mangaka-san) literally follows them everywhere 2) They're both idiots (Yeah I like Chizuru, but let's be honest if you don't think she's kinda of an idiot with their relationship, something that Ruka even points out, you're not paying attention) 3) They're personality and goals (especially later on in the story)

I haven't read the source material, but the ED seemed to show her engaged in what looks like papakatsu- which might be a reason why she says she's not about judging rental girlfriends. I'd say she's been doing papakatsu for a while now and it might have scuffed up her conscience regarding genuine affection.

Renting Chizuru and making her sing is Mami's way of telling Chizuru that she controls her and Kazuya. Mami's jealousy is from seeing Kazuya moving on faster than she did after she initiated the breakup.

You can tell who actually paid attention to Mami and who just is simping for Chizuru. Though, to be fair the anime did cut small stuff out and hasn’t reached other important things yet. The more you think about Mami and her decisions, the more obvious her situation is. 100% though, this is going to end like Nisekoi; Mami is Onodera, Chizuru is Chitoge, Ruka is Marika, and Sumi is the female bodyguard

Her only purpose was to give the story some sort of a darker tone. She literally goes yandere multiple times. She is a good character but I don’t understand her motives. Everyone else had clear motives but her I didn’t understand or it just didn’t make any sense. Did she want to help kazuya or just have him to herself? Why did she even break up with him? Mami is an enigma that isn’t worth cracking

Say what you will about how cute Ruka is or whatever, doesn't change the fact that she's like a stalker who won't take no for an answer. Kazuya has made it clear that he has no interest in dating her, yet she keeps on pestering him and forcing him to date her. No one is entitled to a relationship for the person they like. No one is obligated to give their time to someone they don't like. If the roles were reversed, like when Kazuya was stalking Chizuru and that tall good looking guy, then people would be outraged. You say Kazuya for acting like a stalker yet won't keep that same energy towards Ruka and mami (who is arguably worse since what Kazuya did was a one time thing, but this Ruka tries to force him to hug her, presses herself on his body without consent, follows him even when he told her not to, etc.) Y'all need to stop blaming a depressed and verbally abused guy for literally everything. Yes, he made wrong choices but the dude is battling himself and trying to grow and change. Give him some time, people don't grow overnight. Screw Ruka, though. I can't respect someone who can't be considerate of their crush's wishes.

Yeah from what I heard she has a tragic backstory. It is really sad. I think in season 2 it will cover it.

Spoiler alert Her mother and father died so she had to live with her grandparents. She dreamt to become an actress just like her grandma and her grandpa dreamt of seeing her acting. But sadly he passed away in car crash. So she only has her grandma. Who’s dream is seeing CHIZURU’s dream come true. So they made a movie and showed it to the grandma so she passed away. So CHIZURU only has Kazuya now. She has nobody else than him now. So she felt extremely lonely, but kazuya helped her not to be lonely. So, she starts giving him hints that she likes him. Like once inviting him on lunch without paying to just talk. Where she asked him if he has feelings for ruka. And she also asked him if he has feelings for her but before he answers she said never mind. But then after coming home he partially confessed saying:”My perfect girlfriend is u, all this time I’ve been in lo..” then he gets interrupted by his friends and then she enters her room and her face becomes red and sais to herself :”I’m stupid” or something like that So she only has kazuya now, the only one who she can rely on. So she has a tragic backstory. But great news because kazuya has the potential to be with her now, he just needs to fully confess :)
