Whether or not you think it's bad that he's still playing under the original name, I think it's so humbling to see how excited he is to be playing the music. Good for him!
I've seen them 3 times since Pete passed away and enjoyed every one. Is it the same, no it's not but its still a joy to hear the songs that I first heard when I was 15.
My fave band after Ramones since I was a kid....I totally understand wanting to keep playing but obviously there's something vital missing....of course I'll be there when they come to NYC, to sing along and maybe there'll be more Diggle songs in the set than usual. Can't help but get an empty feeling though.
@@stevehadfield5963 nobody knows more about the Buzzcocks, Devoto and Magazine than myself. I was one of 50 people who attended a tiny little club in Philly converted from a row home in 78 where Howard wrote Philadelphia. The mammoth fireplace scared him. The place eventually burned down. The first Philly punk club. Pete was amd will always be The main reason for the Buzzcocks success. They both went on to their own successful careers.
I just want a lover like any other What do I get I only want a friend who will stay to the end I'm in distress I need a caress What do I get I'm not on the make I just need a break I only get sleepless nights Alone here in my half-empty bed For you things seem to turn out right I wish they'd only happen to me instead Well let me tell you now I get no love I get no sleep at nights I get nothing that's nice I get nothing at all Cos I don't get you
terrible....one of the best Buzzcocks songs in a parody version, without Pete S. A disgrace Diggle keeps on using the name Buzzcocks. No Buzzcocks without Shelley, like no The Fall without Mark E. Smith. Joy Division changed their name.
