Water maker question made us laugh. We chartered Marine Max in 2019 and we forgot to turn on the water maker on our way to Anegada. Then we were too close to make it (rules) so we ran out and ended up taking showers in what we all describe as a bomb shelter on the island 🤣🤣🤣. We’ll never forget it! Thanks for the great info. We’re dreaming of going back in 2024.
So glad I found your RU-vid channel. A plethora of information. Best question so far "What is the BVI?" and the response was spot on. I have been put in charge of organizing a trip in May of '23 for us and two more couples and even though we have been to the BVI's in the past, you have given me lots of good info to make this a great trip for the newbies. One question you may not get a lot (or maybe you do) is I notice that some of the crewed charters offer nude charters. Our group....well lets just say is not shy. I know, opposite of what people think, the islands frown on such things as nudity however, I have yet to not see at least one neighboring boat in their birthday suits. So our question is, while sailing, if one happens to have his or her bathing suit malfunction, are we going to end up with Johnny Depp in a Pirates of Caribbean style stockade? You mention is several videos of having a remote beach to yourself. I have never found that to be the case. A clothing optional beach day would afford me all kids of appreciation from the crew. The type legions are made of. I know this is not a RU-vid topic however any insight would be helpful. Keep the videos coming. Your delivery is perfect and your quality is amazing. Thank you. Omg this is by far the best question ever! I just shot a BVI questions video this morning…wish I had had this one! I’ll definitely include it in the next one. Look, you can roam “free” jus about anywhere in the BVI. The issue is kids. They’re everywhere. Especially in the summer months. So that deters the freedom movement, if you will, cause parents don’t want their babies exposed to such things on their vacay. I would feel the same. So just be discerning when it comes to that. Everyone jumps naked once at Willy T…it’s a right of passage…again just be aware of your surroundings. The Dog islands have 4 or 5 barren beaches you can grab….also Cow Wreck on Anegada is a long strip of beach….so find a strip and strip! If you grab a mooring ball the furthest away that also helps. Then your not surrounded by neighbors. I really don’t think anyone cares unless kids are present. Thanks for watching and have fun!!
Soap doesn't work with salt water (unless it's a special soap), but Joy dish soap does! ... And you smell lemony fresh!. Jump in the ocean to get wet, lather up with the Joy, rinse off in the ocean, then rinse with fresh water. It saves on the boat's fresh water supply!
Thank you for including our question about the 5 day cruise! We'll be curious how your testing goes on the boat and if you have any tips for us next month. We fly into STT and will take the ferry across - unless you have a better suggestion, like a private water taxi. Last question - we're having our provisioning meeting tomorrow - we are planning on using the Moorings Store for most of everything and dining out for dinner each night. Beautiful boat!!. Actually like to see the real one when shipped. My wife and I are getting our ASA courses this spring. I always thought the Abacos since we had been there before a few times with our friends on their boat. But the BVI looks great. Love the channel. Might have a lot more questions in the future.

Glad you are able to get to the BVI... hopefully. A while ago I asked the question about the toilot paper and flushing it in the head. Loved the answer. I am debating with the family if I need to do the captain school pre trip or not. We have two boats at Lake of the Ozarks, single prop Searay 270 and 26' pontoon. My Mariinemax dealer friends say my 800 hours on the water at one of the most busy and rough lakes n the US give me the experience I need. My question is since a 48 Aquila is so much bigger with alot of free board, does the lack of experience on a large vessel with twins make that much of a difference? I am trying to also find a captain school in the Tamps Florida area to get a class and certification. Any suggestions. I can tell by watching your channel you and I think somewhat the same so I am asking your educated opinion. Congrats on the 54, cant wait to see those videos.

Our crew is looking to change things up a bit and cross over to the USVI for a few days of our 10-day charter this year. Looking for your thoughts on the matter.
Unfortunately that’s not allowed with a charter. Especially during these COVID times. As a matter of fact, it’s a fine of up to 10k. You have to charter out of St Thomas to do the USVI. Sorry for the bad news. Thanks for watching!!
FYI, sense Covid The Moorings removed snorkel gear from the boat. We were in day 3 or 4 before we found some, and way overpaid. Take your own gear for now, or confirm it’s provided.
Your videos are marvelous and extremely helpful. Quick question: Can you point me to a site or have confidence that the eMed test works for entry into the BVI? I know it works for re-entry into the US. Just wasn't sure if it were bilateral.

Each charter reacts differently and it’s abilities are representative of what the charter owner ordered. So it’s inconsistent. Therefore I bring my iPad with Navionics and rely on that. I’ll use the boats autopilot but I’ll be tracking with iPad. Good question! Thanks for watching!!!
