I watched that Craven Busch finish live with my Mom who’s favorite driver was Ricky Craven in the Tide Pontiac. Made me a NASCAR fan for life experiencing that moment with her.
The exception being the Harvick/McMurray finish which didn't even make the video. With a whopping 0.011 sec margin of victory, it's *only* the 14th closest finish in the history of the cup series.
This brings back memories of the old Top 10 show that aired on SPEED back about 10-15 years ago. Or the NASCAR on Fox Top 10 Moments from the same time. I love it! Please post more!
If we are to not make this cup series exclusive, the actual closest finish in NASCAR history would be a race I actually attended, the 2018 Xfinity Season opener at Daytona. Tyler Reddick beat Elliott Sadler with the margin of victory of 0.0004 (4 ten thousandths of a second)
Best Closes finish from then to present day has never forget,included this year is Mexican Driver from Track house racing team Daniel Suarez wins in first place along with Kyle Busch and Ryan Blaney at Atlanta Motor Speedway
@@MrNascarfan1 Speed doesn’t really matter. It’s about the racing and the entertainment it brings to us fans. I believe NASCAR cup cars can go faster as well but are restricted.
@@MrNascarfan1 That's because cars used to turn into planes when they were hitting speeds of 202+. Safety of the drivers is something I'll brag about over speed, thank you.
Wow incredible video. I personally remember that 3 wide finish which Jimmie Johnson won at Talladega. I mean like how much closer can you get with that!? Unreal.
The race at Atlanta two weeks ago and the Spring race at Talladega in 2021 were the closest finishes in NASCAR Cup Series history but give credit to the intermediate tracks from the past to be on the list 😊
I still remember jumping up and down watching that Darlington race . Still the best finish ever. #2 they forgot was Ambrose and Keselowski @ Watkins Glen
There are two races that you missed that should be on here. 1990 Bristol. Davey Allison over Mark Martin, and 1991 Dale Jarrett over Davey Allison at Michigan.
