Srbac is located at the confluence of the Vrbas and Sava rivers, in northern Bosnia. The area of ​​the municipality of Srbac is 453 km² and includes 39 settlements with a population of 21,840.
The northern border of the municipality coincides in a length of 42 km with the international border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
Srbac was named by the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1933. Basically, three elements were decisive for the choice of the name Srbac: geographical, historical and national.
