Love the vid Champion. I especially like the fact that you did research and had notes. It irks my nerves when content creators don’t do prior research.
Love this set. I remember I found the Walmart exclusive at Toy's R Us. The yellow one with the bird on it. At first they wouldn't sell it to me because it would scan and the lady saw the Walmart sticker. I ended up going back the next day and I scored one. Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge and love for Autoworld. I sure do miss the boxes. Thank you.
Truly, AUTOWORLD makes some brilliant castings, fabulous color schemes! Fantastic models. I share your enthusiasm and passion for diecast collecting! GREAT VIDEO!
Great stuff brother! The only car from this set I have is the Chevy 396 version C. I found it at a CVS in Colorado, I have never seen an auto world at a CVS since... Great video, thanks!
3:28 Just going to make a general note, Round2 did this for Johnny Lightning and Racing Champions as well. Basically 2016 Release 2 of all JL Street Freaks, JL Muscle Cars USA, and Racing Champions Mint had A, B, C and D versions. And for 2017, AW Release 1, JL R1 of Muscle Cars, Street Freaks and Classic Gold, and Racing Champions Mint R1 all had A, B, C and D versions.
Just that complete series alone is a job well done! Love yor work, remember to keep us oosted with what you need ro finish sets, as collectirs like myself, are by and large, quite agreeable to giving up the odd chase, of an incomplete set, to help someone like yourself complete yours!! I was just admiring the two wagons you sent me the other day, not reds, and still treasured pieces in my collection! Best wishes from Tasmania DJK!
The cars with the greater ground clearance are representative of what would run on the dragstrip to faciliate rearward weight transfer. If you look at period pictures of drag cars you will see that "stance"
over the past year and a half i've sold the majority of my HW and have purchased every AW Premium to date with the proceeds. i'm obsessed with the brand and i never understood why only one release had A thru D variations and the "walmart exclusive" confused me as well, so this was an interesting and thorough watch. my first UR find was the black Galaxy at TRU. found the UR and normal version and grabbed the UR to trade it away. wish i kept it, but it was before i was willing to pay more than $1 for diecast, haha.
I have a few weird sticker ones too. I have one or two with a blue sticker with nothing on it. Man, I'm only missing a handful of that release, maybe I should drive myself crazy and look for the others and the URs.😅
