Please take note of some corrections: 5:58 | AC 7kW Charging Time is 9.5 to 10 hours.🙇♂ 9:34 | Inside the BYD bag is a Portable 2.1 kW Charger. AC Motors will also be providing a Free 7 kW Home Charger with every purchase of an Atto 3. Installation of the wall-mounted charger is subject to additional charges - please coordinate with your dealer.
This is the best review on the BYD Atto 3 on RU-vid, very comprehensive and detailed, excellent information presented with knowledge and enthusiasm, great job. You can teach a lot to so many car reviewers on RU-vid.
@deansawyer3575 🥹 You’re too kind! I’m very flattered - I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and this wonderful comment. I’m still constantly learning from all the RU-vid greats out there but I’m truly inspired by the vote of confidence. 🫡 Have a good one!
The praise is well deserved, your editing, graphics and chapter system are all excellent, please keep up the good work. I will not be the only to appreciate how much work you put in to your presentations.
This is the most comprehensive auto review I have ever watched. Usually, I skip parts that do not interest me, but this video highlights all the things a common driver or potential car buyer is looking for. I'm impressed with how the video was presented. It is not too technical or focused on showing off the presenter's driving skills. Instead, it focuses on the important and less important features that one should consider when considering a vehicle. I am one step away from buying this vehicle. Additionally, knowing at least three high-ranking officers in charge of distributing BYD makes me more comfortable with owning one. From sales to after-sales, I feel confident that I am covered. Kudos to the presenter of this BYD Atto 3 review - I am now subscribed to your channel.
It seems that more people commented on the excellent quality of the video. But fewer commented on the subject itself. I would like to see comments of the actual use experience with the vehicle. Anyway, thank you very much for the reviews. It really helps.☺
We have had the Atto for eighteen months. As regular drive it is an outstanding vehicle, comfortable, great range of accessories, absolutely reliable, very cheap to run and wonderful value. Would I prefer anything else even if given to me, no, except perhaps a brand new Atto. Note I also drive a Tesla and much prefer the Atto.
I am from Australia and have just bought this EV. Your review is definitely the best review I have seen yet. Your attention to detail like the seating materials and how they feel is the sort of information not many others cover very well. Well done. My wife and I love this car and it ticks all the boxes for us.
We are the same, the Atto is a marvellous vehicle. When it comes to EVs, it absolutely sets a new mark in affordability and value. The only difference between the Atto and comparable Korean EVs is a charge rate of 80KW vs 180KW. Given the fast charge rate costs an additional $30,000, I am more than happy to have 80KW, particularly noting the fastest charge speeds are mostly only available between 30% and 80%. Outside this state of charge, there is little difference between very fast and just plain fast charging.
Love this very detailed review! I just got a lot more information which other car reviewers don't usually mention or show through the camera. Subscribed! Edit: Maaaan I just loved the Atto 3 a lot more because of this review. I appreciate how you went through the settings menu, it just shows the possibilities you can do with this car.
Ganda ng editing and reviews sir. Kahit d ako interested sa car being reviewed pinapanood ko pa dn. Anyhow still your fave vid is yung sa GS8. Still waiting for you to drive it
@APFLAC Hi sir! Thank you so much for watching, I appreciate it!🥹 Isa yung GS8 sa first few reviews ko, one of my favorites to edit as well. I’m glad to know na you’re interested in it, will do what I can to do a drive test and maybe yung 4wd na din. 🫡
Watched your video and it was so good and very informative. You just earned a new subscriber. Hope you make more. I would be nice if you could also review the MG 4 EV too.
In my Atto the boot electric closer is there on the door of the hatch. One for closing the hatch and the one next to it is for locking the whole car. There is also a hatch opening button on the driver's door.
So what's up with this car, is it possible to drive it? or drive it automatically with it, because there are so many things in this pressure sensor, imagine if it breaks, who can fix it, am I going to China-Japan with it or is there someone in Sweden who knows this car, who just how to service it,? there are mpng questions when all this stops, what do I do then, if I'm out on the road and all the electronics don't work, what do I do =
I'm not sure if I missed it but did you try charging at home? Also, will the dealership assist you in setting up a compatible charging outlet at home? Thanks
@geraldg6542 Hi! Unfortunately, I don’t own an EV yet, so I wasn’t able to charge at home. I definitely want one though.🥲 Yes, I believe you can coordinate with the dealership to install the free 7kW home charger.
I use a standard 240V 15A outlet to charge my Atto at home. This delivers 3KW AC charging. Overnight this delivers 30KWhr (about 240km). For my purposes this is more than adequate for daily use. I agree with this reviewer, this is an excellent vehicle. Affordable, very reliable and excellent features. I have had the Atto for fifteen months and a TM3 for two years. The Atto was about $12,000 less than the TM3. As a daily drive I much prefer the Atto.
You did not try the portable charger. But you said it requires wall outlet to have a ground for it to work. Since most of our wall outlets here in the phils does not have grounding, this portable charger is basically useless, correct?
Kahit ano pa ganda nyan diko bibilhin dahil chinese brand. S bawat chinese car na bibilhin nyo ay pera para s china n kinakawawa ang mga mangingisda natin. Kya please lang sana wag n kayo mag promote ng chinese brand. Dami p namang topic about cars n pwede nyo idiscuss.
@@RSCB what? Tagalugin mo nalang, not unless chinese lover ka.
Congratulations! . Please share your experience with the vehicle. Will really appreciate it for the information of those thinking of having one especially here in the Philippines where Filipinos are still studying its performance. It will be a big help for us. Thank you so much in advance Jimmy.
Finally, a detailed review! The one that stood out for me was when you said it is "McDo friendly" laughed so hard after hearing that! If I'm going to buy a second car, this will definitely be in my selection list. 👌
@MrArvirivera Sir Arvi! Haha, you know that’s important. 😉 Bro, I suggest you try this in person, head over sa BGC showroom. It’s so fun to drive, we are also considering this as a second car.🤘
I really love your review! It is very thorough, specially when you feature each buttons one by one, the infotainment system navigation... ugh! It just gives us this perfect POV of driving/owning the vehicle. I respect look forward to all your reviews!
@pollada1 so far from what I have seen here on RU-vid, they are mostly very positive reviews. Here in the Philippines, the warranty is 8 years for battery and 3 years general warranty so repair shouldn’t be an issue.
You rarely see quality reviews as long as this one. Though with a car like these, its a disservice spending less as compared to same old rehashed ice vehicles. 2024 is looking great specially with all the EV, Hybrid and PHEV news. Loving this review, subscribed
@icynrvna Thank you so much for watching and for the support. I appreciate it!🥹 Regarding the price, I agree. That's why this is a serious contender this year, it's definitely one of those bang-for-buck deals. Same! I'm excited too to see what else are coming to our car market. 🚙 See you on the next video!🫡
Super detailed car review, one of the best out there for sure! Might also be a fascinating episode to have is a quick review on the various electric charging venues in the Philippines to get the EV appetite going more. Been really researching on having a non-ICE vehicle in our next purchase. Subscribed!
Excellent review! You are one if not the best car reviewer in the ph on my opinion. Better than the popular reviewers. A lot of your reviews are very detailed and well presented! Keep it up! Disclaimer: i dont like china cars and probably will not buy one ever.
@mpcrtz7747 Thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it. 🙇Hopefully we get access to a lot more cars out there - the ones you do like. 🫡😁
Yes electric cars are the future but not yet in all of the Philippines so I will stay with my Chery 8 Pro for the time being as most weeks we have blackouts 😂
@ashleyclark4310 That's true. In some provinces, they have reliable chargers but it is always better to have your own charger at home. In the Metro though, I think we are somewhat ready. My wallet is so ready for the fuel savings in the future. 😂
No it's not. In China EU and the US , EV sales are drastically slowing down as after the early adopters already bought their units and the middle class have no interest in doing so. Inventory of EVs at dealership are piling up
Sir Jay! I’m very flattered.🥹 Haha, it’s working!! Finally got to learn a bit more about EVs - I get the hype! So glad to keep on learning about EVs from your personal experiences too.🫡
Am looking fwd to buy the atto 3 by the end of this year, and your review is invaluable. Just one question: If for your first trip your battery was at 100% and you consumed 8% while travelling 18 km, that’s makes 2.25 km for 1%. The expected range in this case is therefore 225 km not 480 km. What am I missing?🤔
Please correct me if I'm wrong but based on your consumption at 8% for 18kms your total range would only get you roughly 225kms on eco mode. Sounds like a lot of Kw consumed imo maybe because of traffic? idk.
@VSKPF00 Yes, in other countries that is. Here in the Philippines, 7kW at 220v is the standard wall charger. We either have the 7kw in majority of the malls or 180kW fast chargers in selected charging stations. Thanks for watching and have a good one!🫡
Maybe you should discuss the longterm economic benefits for having an ev compared to fuel vehicle i.e., fuel and electricity consumption, life and cost of replacement battery, insurance, registration.😮
Various internet source land on 60% of emmissions compared to ICE over vehicle useful life. Australia has a high level of rooftop solar. Home charging is not counted in the 60% and would drop the emmissions below 60% perhaps well below
on a test in australia bmw m7 and i7 petrol vs electric a 873 miles trip the m7 win in the cost of trip only aus$117.88 cost of gas compared to i7 electric which cost 131.92. also electric only help in reducing air pollution but contribute more damage to the environment due to mining of metals and minerals to produce the battery
Your report is true. Bear in mind many EV owners charge from home solar most of the time. My wife and I have stayed mainly at Airbnb in the past. A normal 240 volt extension cord overnight would top up fairly well. Airbnb is expensive so unless the agreement expressly excluded top up charging then it would be an option. Recently we rented a car on holiday, the Sixt rental company included free charging for a Tesla Model Y all over the Australian island state of Tasmania.
