We're curious to put it to the test. EVs in general are not as engaging to drive. Their weight make them slow to turn in and change direction. Wonder if the Seal can do better.
I like BYD more than Tesla, However the complaints about not wanting to touch the screen to adjust side mirror while driving? You can just turn on driving assist and use the screen as you wish.. I do that even with my Dolphin.
And all these EV performances can only get better as EV technology is still new compared with gasoline cars' technology which is at least 60 years old..... There is a lot of room for improvement for EV especially in part of the battery.
True, technology improve over time. Even ICE car also improve in recent years and EV is not that new. Depending on your definition of new and EV, if you omit the 19th century invention of EV, our generation has withnessed the rapid development of EV since 1990s.
Does this car have a kickdown on the gas pedal? Like, while driving in eco mode with itac off, does flooring the gas pedal give the car maximum power to get out of trouble?
Released in China in September 2022 and outside of China in September 2023, The BYD Seal is a relatively new car, so there's not much data to go by in terms of reliability. We can go with the data we currently have and we can say that BYD has a good track record in battery production. The Seal has received positive reviews for its build quality, comfort, and range. The biggest concern people have about EVs is the battery, in this respect BYD Seal uses BYD's Blade battery. This battery is highly regarded for its reliability, safety, durability and lifespan.
Would you take it over a Tesla. Yes of course you would as you mentioned it 3 times and that was never in question especially after your so called apology video! , just shocked you are not talking more about the unquestioned superiority of your EV6. With your lack of insight into Tesla and BYD ownership, you miss out on many critical issues like deep OTA, service schedule, charging network, App experience.
Cheap to buy but current road tax calculation were rm7.5k a year on 2026 because of that power 😂. It’s a big penalty for a car that top out at 180km/h.
@@Lagoost, perhaps he is Michael Schumacher's son or someone with talent in racing. I hope he is so that we can be proud of him as we have never had F1 world champion before. I am eagerly waiting for his video and perhaps could throw in some chip to sponsor him if he prove himself of such calibre.
later road tax suddenly got rm1000 difference with premium version because higher motor power and heavier car I am not sure, but i have a feeling road tax will be calculated on weight, range and motor power. Why? because it seems MOT like they are taking their time devising the formula, so it must be this complicated.
@@vbdemystified709yes..they promise like this, which is cheaper than petrol. but how low is low, I also interested to see. as this is 500 plus horsepower. so, its will be cheaper than 500horsepower petrol engine. how cheap is cheap. I also dont know. but I guess is still above rm1k?. dont know. gomen for sure still want revenue right.lol
@@H_B_Rvery complicated calculation. government want revenue but at the same time dont want to impose too high roadtax to make sure people migrate to ev. last time it is based on kilowatt batter power. I think not cheap. it will be cheap vs petrol, but not too cheap, and not too expensive either like v8 petrol engine
@@rabbitcat5371 its fair to say that anything in excess performance that is not produced by malaysian companies like proton and perodua will be expensive. I think that will be not more than 150kw at most. Or they would not count motor power at all into the calculation because road damage is cause by weight and distance travel. And maybe there is also CO2 emission tax.
