It is amazingly stable and uneventful cruising at 200 mph+. With a little longer straight section, I have a feeling it could go faster. Considering that BYD originally claimed it would go 300 km/h, it is refreshing to have a company underpromise and overdeliver. Even if this car is not at my price point.
Tesla in 2017: promising $200k sport car that has 1000HP and 250mph top speed. Promising $25k affordable EV car with highway capability and practical long range Here we go in 2024 and deliver nothing BYD: promising nothing, deliver yangwang U9 and M6 that exactly what tesla promises but couldnt do it
This byd is indeed an incredible car but just the plaid alone can easily go 350kmh+ with a software hack. and just about 200hp less and *nearly* 3 times less price Yes I know it has a *much* better handling and overall track performance but breaking the hyper car performance for 230k USD and 250mph? Ain’t there yet. At least the acceleration is there that’s for sure (just about any high end EV is already there lmao)
@@Heartfromsomewhereso It still needs some "hack," not fresh off the boat as promised? If that's the case, I think even an ICE legacy car manufacturer can say that.
Congrats byd, just a shame it's more expensive, less sexy looking and weighs over 1,000# more than the hyptech ssr 2dr ev supercar! The Chinese ssc sc01 ev 2dr coupe has it right 2 motors not 3 or 4, awd, smaller 55-60kwh pack 430hp, starts at 42k weighs 1,429kg. 😎
