fixed the sound issue and upped the bitrate for better quality song: "Victory" by Two Steps From Hell & Thomas Bergersen i misspelled it hard in the video
Hope they fix some of the issues till then, multiplayer is great now but I was literally trying to join the 104th for an hour, now it's smooth as butter
Good show mate it's videos like this that bring in the curious and get those that already have the bug to bite and download and check it out for themselves. That my friend is always a good thing, keep up the great work! Cheers.
Funny...I Shazamed Unleashed by TSFH from the 2.5 video...added it to Spotify, then found songs that were similar using the "Recommended based off playlist" songs. And I found this, Victory by TSFH. You did the same, I feel. ;)
While this is still one of your greatest videos, it's outstanding how much you have worked on your camera work (Keyword: Smooth camerawork, no more stuttering). I just wanted to let you know ;)
By the way, you had me and my mother in tears of joy and beauty from this video. The editing, the music and everything you put in is purely amazing. Keep up the good work :)
Nah, I just showed her the video because she really wants to fly but she's never had the opportunity :D When I told her real life looks like this and she saw the video combined with the music, I had to replay it 5 times till she had enough :D
Outstanding video kartoffeljoghurt! Really good song, fits right in. May I ask you... How do you get these cinematic camera shots? Like, with zooms and everything?
First: thank you sir! I don't know about the zooms in this video. I don't think I zoomed in a shot here, but generally using the zoom fuction before recording your shot with RShift+Num- or Num+ (i think) gives your shots a more realistic look than using the mouse wheel because that only moves the camera closer to the aircraft instead of zooming. The camera options I mostly use are F2, F4, LCtrl+F4, LCtrl+F11 and sometimes F5 and F3. All of them I use in combination with TrackIR, which is probably the most important tool to these cinematic smooth camera pans, using your mouse will always result in a jaggy movement. It also enables you to do these awesome flyby-shots with F11, which I heavily use; 0:44 2:17 3:12 and 4:52 are just some examples, I simply love these kinds of shots. If you don't own a headtracking device yet I can only recommend it, I won't only make your cinematics look better but also make your ingame experience much more natural; delanClip would be a pretty affordable alternative to TrackIR5, the "gamer"-pack provides you with everything you need and the freeware opentrack works pretty well, I use it myself, and just to make sure: this isn't product placement, I just use it myself and am very happy with it :)
Thank you for your quick response! About the zooms, at 2:01 we have 2 scenes with the Hornet and the Viggen. I believe its just normally zoomed in, using * and / on the numpad, but I'm not sure
Good job! Would be perfect in 4k and without the stuttering. Does it run worse than the 2.2? Still haven't tried the update myself, waiting for the promised 2.5 release.
Sadly my current PC doesn't allow me to make such footage, my HDD can't even keep up with a 60fps 1080p recording with decent quality ^^ For me it runs just as great as 2.2 :)
Well, hopefully you'll be able to upgrade soon. This is a really nice video :) If you say 2.5 runs about the same as 2.2, then I'm guess I am in luck too :) Thanks for the answer!
How exactly do you achieve all those air to air cameras smoothly flying alongside the planes that you record? I think I know some of then may have an AI chase plane from which the camera is planted on but not all of them right?
I did all of this in singleplayer so a lot of it is AI and in the flyby I usually don't use another aircraft but the LCtrl+F11 camera :) using the sroll wheel you can speed it up or slow it down and thanks to a headtracker I can look to the sides to get these super cool looking flybys :)
Oh is it really? :D I had a few songs I wanted to use and finally picked this one, had no idea it's overused ^^ at least I haven't heard it in a DCS video
Kartoffeljoghurt of course its fine i just said what is these skins :) u can take a look on fb page of virtual couteau delta.. And real couteau delta too :)
