I finished watching this about 5 minutes ago and I'm still in tears. She was his first and only love. He was one of the sweetest parts of her life. I'm ugly crying atm, I thought after The red sleeve, snowdrop, youth of may, 25-21, and big mouse I’d be used to this now. But this feels like a salt being poured into my injuries. It's officially the year of heartreak in K-drama land and I can't deal with it. 😩😩😩😩

20th Century Girl was such a heart-warming film and really captured the nostalgic vibe of the pre-mobile phone days. It was very similar to 2521 in quite a few ways: 1. 2521 - Baek Yijin 20th CG - Baek Hyunjin 2521 - Na Heedo 20th CG - Na Bora 2. Both 2521 and 20th Century Girl are set in the high school scene and set in the late 90s to 2000s. 3. SPOILER The ending was, in a way, already given to us from the beginning, when we are shown Bora's dad receiving the video tape in the mail. Knowing that she only receives the tape 20 years in the future, tells us that she most likely didn't end up with Wunho. This is reminiscent of 2521, where we are shown that she has a daughter with a different surname to Yijin.

agree! though I've come to terms to this movie's ending & the more I rationalize on the "why's" related to the ending the more I appreciate this movie more. As what I always say to my friends who I reco this movie - it has a cliche plot where you can easily tell what will happen next. But the "cliche"ness didn't have that much impact on the overall beauty of this movie. Btw, watched this twice already and I still got caught w/ same emotions & lingering feelings. ❤️

from the moment i saw the trailer:seeing that it was set in the '90s kinda gave me "25-21" vibes and with this film being set in the '90s ,it was quite obvious that Na Bo-ra was reminiscing her old memories and this was kind of a sign that her and Woon-ho would/did not end up together. despite that ,i still chose to be oblivious to any details that hinted to a sad ending, as i was desperately hoping that this film would not be similar in many ways to "25-21",little did i know that 20thCG would ache my heart even more than "25-21"😭. great film nonetheless all the tears it brought.
