Byomkesh Bakshi: Ep#30 - Sahi Ka Kanta 

This serial came in two seasons. The first season ended with the Chiriyagharh (Chiriyakhana in Bengali) dual episodes. The second season started with Aadim Shatru (Aadim Ripu) also dual episodes. If you see the starting image of Byomkesh that appears when the title track plays, it changes from Aadim Shatru and continues the complete second season. This was simply done to differentiate both the seasons. Also the stories in this series remain very faithful to the book and appear in chronological order starting from 1932 (Satyanweshi) to 1969-70 (Lohe ka biscuit), hence Basu Chatterjee has showed the progression in Society, mannerisms of people, dressing, the manner of the direction.... everything changes. This is his genius. Note that first season came around 1993 and second in 1996-97... do not remember fully, and he still took care of all these in a shoe string budget. Apologies for the long comment...but Byomkesh, Saradindu Bandopadhyay and Basu Chatterjee make a deadly Trinity that gave us this evergreen serial for all times.

I have read the novel several times. It is better to read than to watch. But it is very difficult to film the novel in such a short time. Credit goes to Basu Chatterjee and script writer. Debasish and Deepa have acted well.

Afsos ki iske 32 Episode hi bane. This Serial is masterpiece. Milind Guna did justice to his character in this episode and Rajit Kapoor always rocks. 😊💐

Milind Gunaji so handsome! :) And all the people here saying the girl is selfish, yes she is and she should have been honest instead of putting her husband in such position but consider the times, she would not have been able to pull off an elopement, second she is worried about her dad, third most important factor is she may be only 16 or 17, so basically a kid, what understanding do kids have at that age about marriage? Once she realises her husband is a better human being she grows up.
