i followed these steps as close as i could with a few discrepancies due to the exact setup i had planned but it works anyways! i waited until i saw it throttle to see the difference. thanks for this vid it's a life saver!
Thank you, good god. Verizon's data cap ran out in one week and its completely useless once you're being throttled, it takes like 3 minutes just to check my email!
While I do not understand exactly why this is working you have no idea how thankful I am! I recently switched from a Samsung Galaxy to an iPhone 14 and had always used the NetShare Pro app which allowed me to use the full bandwidth of the cellular data as a hotspot vs. the severely capped speeds in the native hotspot feature under the phones settings with the carrier. This literally is mirroring the speeds I am getting on my phone when I run SpeedTest and doing so without having to download any 3rd party apps (which also are not available for iPhones like they are for Android from what I've seen so far). Again, thank you so much this is awesome!
You are a genius I finally found something that worked after being throttled 3 days ago. Thanks so much amazing! Edit: Well it did work at first but the next time I tried it it says no network access on the IPv6 connectivity and I restarted both devices and redid the instructions 🤷
I honestly don't know where to look, my phone internet service provider is Verizon and every moment between 7am-10pm my internet is throttled to 0.2Mbps after that I get anywhere between 5Mbps and 70Mbps. My mother and I are on the same service plan. During the hours where I am throttled down to 0.2Mbps she can get 3-10Mbps. I use PDAnet+ to hide my computers tethered usage on my phone. But now that doesn't matter and they just throttle my phone. Do you know how I can bypass that? If at all? Or even where I can even begin researching to figure it out myself? Everytime I try to search for answers on the internet it seems as if I am only given outdated content, 1-6 years in the past. I know I'm not the only one with this issue and there has to be someone out there giving legit answers but I suspect the information is being suppressed. I'm always pushed to get a VPN but I see reviews that their throttling problem is not resolved.
Question 1: do I need to do this every time I turn off and on my mobile hotspot? Question 2: I've noticed that my mbs varies depending on the amount of traffic the cell tower has do you or any others that have used this method encounter the same variances in download speeds based on how busy the cell tower is? Thank you for your video....
I live in the country out in indiana… I was throttle to about 500kbps trying to update a game on my Xbox… I tried your new method and instantly up to 5-8mbps… it’s not much but I’ll take it never mind it jumped to 15mbps yessir!
Sweet - Hey, some old DOS commands to make this easier on people: Once you have that DOS box open first type this: copy con c:\UnThrottle.bat Hit enter then paste that long line of gibberish on the next line, hit enter , then Control Z and enter again to save it and you have created a file you can run after a reboot. Find that file in your C:\ folder and make a shortcut to it and put it anywhere you like (your desktop or even your . Then all you have to do is right click that link, run as admin and bang you're done! Thanks Man - This doubled to tripled my speeds 🙂 :Lets hope it stays good
This solution worked wonders and bypassed throttling for about 5 months before now. It will begin the month working as intended but then randomly stop and my data will end up throttling. I have not restarted my computer (which would require another input of the prompt) or anything else that might turn off the prompt. Is there any way to fix this issue?
Hey bud. How would you get that speed to the Xbox though. I attempted this and I can get the speed to the computer but it's still throttled at the ps4. Thanks for the help.
has to go through your laptops hotspot thats broadcasting your phones so speed will not be exact to what you have on your phone, more devices connected at one time will lessen that too but theres no reason your xbox and ps4 would change the TTL setting of your laptop thats matched to your phones TTL.. so your speed isnt being "throttled" technically. you can monitor hotspot data usage with your myverizon app or whatever you use (other than your phones app for monitoring this) so you can see if its going up. you do have to have unlimited data (regular non hotspot data), for this to work.
Hi everyone, Everything worked I think. Only difference is my ethernet adapter says Local Area Connection* 10 if that matters. Also the mobile hotspot will disconnect automatically after a few minutes. How do you know it wont throttle it after you used up your plans data? The command line worked as it said ok. Any help would be appreciated!
@@fordgarage2746 u gotta set ttl settings on your hotspot if device allows u to. U might need to buy a router that does that. PS4 does not have any ttl settings at all
I went to reconnect… nothing would connect. When you go to the change property settings in the sharing tab… the section that says Ethernet no longer has a pull down bar to select local area network 2… my Xbox say can’t connect to dhcp server
Any chance you could explain why this works? This is super cool for me but any attempt to look up the command and it's just guides for what it does and not why
If you’re broadcasting hotspot from your PC, it will be whatever password you setup in the network settings. Same goes for the iPhone/Android you’re using.
@@neverhomebiker5235 started working with my friend for his own company, we just do Amazon, legend is solid but sometimes the locations suck, Amazon is usually large and usually in and out drop and hook😁
Needing some help. I did everything in your video and my PS5 is still only getting 1.9 - 2 mbps DWN and 3 - 4.3 mbps UP. My cpu is getting 111mbps DWN. Im on visible internet cell phone is Iphone11. Can anyone help?
@@arkkyc7005 yep. Visible is a MMVO which is deprioritized against the other carriers which are on the tower. Those speeds of 4.3 megabits per second up Tell me that the tower is fully saturated and that you have been deprioritized and there is nothing that you can do with your current plan to get faster speeds from visible on that tower. The only way to get faster speeds is to switch to a different provider like AT&t and buy a higher prioritized business plan. (Paying them a bunch more money because screw them!!)
HEY SO IM SUPER LATE TO THIS!!!@@arkkyc7005 but you can use every proxy (app on android, it may be on iphone too?) to bypass this!! you do as this vid says where you setup everything like he did, but you just make a https proxy, and connect to THAT on your console, and youre golden!! if yall even still need this idk but LOL
So you need a computer to do this hack? I’m camping right now and they throttled my hotspot and I can’t stream tv shows on my smart tv now. Any help would be awesome!
