This is by far my favorite Celine Dion song. One of the most well written and arranged song in history, a true masterpiece. Greetings from the island of Barbados. Love you all!
Life long rocker here, my brother bought this album when it came out and he took me to see Celine Dion live on this tour at The Pond in Anaheim California and for 2 hours while sitting in the front row I was mesmerized by the texture, depth and range of her voice. That day I realized I saw the best female vocalist/singer probably ever! And I have loved her ever since.
Once again an absolute MASTERPIECE. Dear G-d, with all these singers dying, please dont take Celine and please let her not lose her ability to sing due to her condition. The passion in her voice is unparalleled! Thank G-d we have her music to cherish for all eternity.
from 3:56 onwards - celine's last two chorus parts - it's really amazing how she is able to execute the phrases with so much force and power in her voice. it has a certain piercing resonant quality and a certain pain in her voice in a good way (which maybe is apt considering the lyric) and i'm just amazed at how she maintains that power consistently throughout these two paragraphs of high notes - which speaks much about her stamina.
I want to know why You're letting this die Without the blink of an eye You say that you need time I say you'll be fine If you would only see Like you did before You became imprisoned Can I reopen the door You say it doesn't matter Then tell me what does And why that isn't what You've been thinking of You say it's never easy Then tell me what was Is it never worth the pain Could you believe it was When life keeps living That's what life keeps giving To us Once we were one mind Drifting in one time And ever true We were friends But something is gone from my Picture of this life If we could only see Like we did before We became imprisoned Can I reopen the door You say it doesn't matter Then tell me what does And why that isn't what What you've been thinking of You say it's never easy Then tell me what was Is it never worth the pain Could you believe it was When life keeps living That's what life keeps giving To us The hope has vanished from your eyes You were my faith and one truth There's every reason to get through And you're why I know there's a reason If we could only see Like we did before We became imprisoned Can I reopen the door You say it doesn't matter Then tell me what does And why that isn't what What you've been thinking of You say it's never easy Then tell me what was It is never worth the pain That you believe it was You say it doesn't matter Then tell me what does And why that isn't what What you've been thinking of You say it's never easy Then tell me what was Is it never worth the pain That you believe it was When life keeps living That's what life keeps giving To us To us To us Keep on living Oh
I deserve that chance again" "Demanding" Probably and certainly my favourite Celine's song ever...!!! Superb interpretation...!!! That's why she is Celine Dion...!!!
Two things I love about this song: 1 - Jim Steinman provide add prodution; 2 - Paulinho da Costa, a Brazilian percursionist recorded the percussion for this song. Regards from Brazil 🇧🇷!
I love finding this hidden gem of a song I didn’t m ow existed. It’s like she just release something new. When I know she might not release anymore due to her conditon. This song has so much passion, emotion and strength. As if she’s really fighting for a love to keep going. I love these types of songs from her.
Is a beautiful celebration of deep and sincere love. The lyrics perfectly capture the intimate connection and complicity between two people, reminding us that despite challenges, love can bring stability and comfort. A lovely ode to mutual support and the joy of sharing life with someone.
I think this song needs a high vocal technique to make it goes well and Celine Dion only who can conquer the challenge of this song so far. That's why this song never replace from my heart
