I meant to post this much sooner, as in back closer to POW Day in September. Still, this is a longer video of a walkthrough of the C-141 located at the McChord Field Air Park. The Air Park is part of the McChord Air Museum and all the aircraft in the air park are maintained and restored by the museum. Anyone can visit the Air Park and Museum provided you either already have base access or visit the security gate, I recommend calling the security gate or visiting their website to ensure you have the necessary paperwork for entrance.

Special Thanks to the McChord Air Museum and Kimages ( / kimages.gifts ) for sponsoring this video.

My dad piloted one of the 1st 3 C-141's into McChord in 1965. I remember they were 6 million dollars a piece, WOW!!!

I was in 62d Aerial Port Sqdn when McChord flew C-130s & C-141s. Mr. Johnston, Wing Historian, arranged permissive TDYs for e so that I could help him write 2 annual Wing histories. Great to see the interior of the grand lady again. Thx to all at the Museum.

I just happen to of been one of the very first crew chiefs that worked on the C-141 #7947 that is now on full display at McGuire new jersey way back when I was only 19-years of age some 57-years ago as of now. Loved this plane.I too had the privilege to of worked and yes flew on the C-141 as a crew chief with the old 438th MAW , out of McGuire new jersey, way back in 1967-1969. loved flying world wide and I was only 19 years of age. docs.google.com/document/d/1Fh9cn97AQZx4kRf79tI4tsOeClKezLw-k595WCPgxH8/edit Iam in the middle. wow!! some 57-Years ago.

GAC and CC, was stationed at McChord. Avionics was a nightmare, seemed like 6 write ups per plane everytime one landed.

Remember in early 80's you could park where this acft is now and off to the right were the F106 and T33 acft. To the left the C141 and C130 ramps. One of the best acft watching areas of any AF Base anywhere at the time.
