I was too poor for a C-64 , had to make do with ZX Spectrums and ZX81 (TS1000 in the states).

Fran - you said women's and men's sizes - but I just see Adult and Youth. Mistake in the video, or in the custom ink setup?

Two things: I know the shortcuts...but I just love seeing PEEK and POKE in my BASIC! Also, if the 53280,1: variables were randomized: TIE DYE T-SHIRT!

The Ohio Scientific Challenger C1P / Superboard ruled the cheap 6502 market back in 79. The Apple II clones then took over.

Although my roommate in 1983 had a C64, and we spent countless hours using the "Impossible Mission" "application" (Epyx intricate and enjoyable game), I had a Atari 800XL that had recently been released, as I stated before in a years-old video of yours. The weirdest thing. 24 hours ago I ran across my c64 basic shirt..havent seen it in years. Mint condition, because someone ordered a size to small. And now, this :) +1 simulation theory.

Nice. I moved onto BBC Basic - which is far superior than that nasty Microsoft thing Commodore copied from the Vic20 - but am definitely interested. customink's website however suggests it cannot calculate non US shipping prices - that might be a problem.

C64 BASIC is a sleek interpreter fitting in 8 K, BBC BASIC eats away twice as much, leaving less space for code and data, which I find nasty.

@@NuntiusLegis Well it's 'sleek' because its lightweight. Want to do anything much more with the hardware than open file streams, you need to poke. Give me an assembler, proper functions and procedures, local variables and sounds and graphics commands any day.

You lost me by talking about Commodore 64 BASIC. Besides being incomprehensible because of its use of a graphic character to, I assume, abbreviate a POKE command, which wouldn't even have been needed in Atari 8K BASIC which had specific English-like commands to perform such graphics actions, all it makes me think of is how superior my Atari 800 was when it was introduced a full three years BEFORE the C64. My brother kept trying to tell me his C64 was superior to my Atari 800, but he could never tell me exactly how, especially when I kept showing what my Atari could do that his newer Commodore couldn't.

I never understood why people got so excited about the C64. Awful keyboard, nasty text characters, limited BASIC. I had just about ever other microcomputer made since around 1978 and neither the VIC20 nor the C64 spun my wheels in the way most of the others did. I guess it's a Ford vs Chevy thing.

The thing that got me about the Commodore 64 was the SID chip, it's amazing sound that still amazes me to this day. I still have a few C64's kicking around although not my original unit I purchased in around '85
