You've already tested your GPS. I uploaded v0.32 to the shared folder previously shared with beta testers. Additional GPS utilization functions have been added. If you use the $3 gp02-Kit GPS, you can use UV-K5 right away without modifying it.

That's a great question. I ran quite a few tests on it. First TEST : 6 months ago: Connect GPS module to UV-K5 without C-Board (3.5mm, 2.5mm plug) - Satellite recognition takes a little longer, but can be used (However, a delay time must be provided to the PTT throughout the firmware. When a signal is transmitted from GPS, the PTT is recognized together - this is unavoidable in circuit implementation) Second TEST : 3 types of GPS are connected directly to the C-Board - 1 cannot be recognized, 2 can communicate with GPS but cannot receive signals from satellites. So at this time, I drew a circuit connecting the battery voltage of UV-K5. Third TEST (this video) : I purchased a low-power GPS module, connected it to the C-Board, and tested it by turning it on continuously for over 4 hours. I can't confirm it, but it works well without any problems so far. Low-power GPS modules are available for $23 and $3. I purchased a $3 device (gp02-kit), connected it, and received time information within 30 seconds and satellite information within 3 minutes during cold booting (in a discharged state of the built-in battery). I'm quite satisfied. The only problem was delivery took about 2 months. lol

​@@ianlee3061Great, I just ordered 5 of the GP-02-Kit modules. In the meantime I will try the other GPS module and supply 5V power from the C-Board USB port.
